A disturbing post in the customers service threads guys..
Quote:Any one else had this...I'd hate to think the whole batch would have to be pulped.I received the PFRPG Core Rulebook yesterday, and almost immediately came across an error. Pages 169-184 are missing; in their places are copies of pages 329-344 (the latter pages are also in their proper place later in the book). Below are links to pictures of the error, both the first page break and the last:

I picked up a copy at the FLGS today, no problem here. Hopefully it's not a widespread issue.

Finally got mine today! You know, hearing everyone talk about how big it is and seeing it in photos and on video, you'd think that "Omg it's huge" wouldn't have been the first words out of my mouth when I removed it from the box ... and yet, they were.
It's in absolutely perfect condition. (Thank you, Vic & Lisa & foam corners!) I don't think anyone's allowed to actually touch this one. I'll have one showing up from Amazon one of these days, and I'm sure it'll be dinged up a bit.

So the mailman showed up with my package yesterday. He also brought some strange man with him. I asked who he was and the mailman said "This is Gregor, he is the Russian weightlifter that comes with the book to carry it around." I mean this this is like what, six inches thick?
So your weightlifter was named Gregor...Mine was a brute named Vitor, but he quit when he saw the size of the book.

Yaaay! I picked up mine at my FLGS during lunch hour today -- it was hard to concentrate on work the rest of the afternoon knowing I had the book to take home and read, lol.
So since I arrived home from work, I have been reading some choice sections and skimming over the whole thing, and reading the opening exposition for each chapter.
Oh what a great job the Paizo gang have done!!!
Hmmm... so much PF goodness... :-D

Mine arrived yesterday! I have never had a Paizo package arrive more quickly. It arrived only one day after Pathfinder Adventure Path 24!
I have to say that book is even more gorgeous than I was expecting. I was almost afraid to open it in fear of damaging its pristine pages.
Thanks Paizo! I love you! I love you! I love you!
Ahem. Gushing mode over now.
P.S. I love you.

okay maybe I've missed something I preordered a copy of THE rules from my local Barnes and Noble. I don't have it yet they say it isn't even in thier warehouses and claim the release date is the 19th? Yarg!
Anybody help me out here and can tell me is the hardcopy out there or no.
For some reason known only to themselves, the book retailers only do new releases on a Wednesday. As PFRPG was released on a Thursday, the official bookstore release date is Wednesday the 19th, the first Wednesday after the official street date.

Got mine Friday ... very nice.
It looks like a box set, but when you open it its full of pages!
(There was a minor printing issue with mine where a couple of corners where folded over before the pages where cut. When I have more patience I'll unfold them and trim them ,,, should be good to go then.)
Mine all mine...don't touch |

So I'm stuck waiting to see if I do or don't have a copy, lovely. Should have ordered direct, sigh.....Anybody else order with Barnes and Noble?

I just ordered mine. I suppose you all can imagine my relief when I discovered Pathfinder after being so disappointed by 4th Ed. Is there quite a back order?
The first run has pretty much sold out. Don't know how many might make the return trip from Gen Con (probably none -- the line for it was huge) or how many are in the distribution channels right now. Next print is in November IIRC. The PDF should be available no problem.
I had two copies coming, one through the FLGS, one from Amazon and bought the PDF from Paizo. I ended up letting my brother buy the Amazon copy from me (due 8/24). I'll make due with one dead tree and the PDF on my laptop.
Good luck with getting it. It's definitely worth it.

I've just returned from my FLGS (Fantask in Copenhagen - great store!) with my three books - damn, they're heavy!
I'm happy as a clam and now I'll hurry home and READ!!!!GRU
I got mine on the Day Paizo promised but have only been able to lightly skim it due a bad sprained wrist with a brace that makes turning pages of this beastly TOME feel like I'm trying to make an Open Locks (DC 30) check.

The retailer I spoke with (before placing a preorder with him, I wanted to make sure I wouldn't be waiting until November for it to be filled). He felt that although the initial preorder demand was high, the distributor network was sufficiently stocked to meet it. I preordered two days before release, and got my shipping notice the day after release.
My book is sitting in Mesquite, TX waiting for UPS to get it way out here to the middle of nowhere, sometime tomorrow.
I don't know what Amazon is doing with their preorders. It doesn't sound like they're handling it well, though.

My Amazon order is still sitting in limbo!
However, my local hobby shop had some copies, so I grabbed the pdf from Paizo and the book from the local game store yesterday, so I am thankfully set!Antony Walls |
Today I got my book. It has shipped last Wednesday and arrived here in Germany today on Tuesday. Great!
And mine, received 10 minutes ago in the UK - shipped last tuesday.

:-(
Oh my FLGS has had copies for a week now.
But I'm left waiting for my subscription's super fast expensive delivery option to get my copy to me.
I'm putting some time in January aside for reading the Bestiary...

Right...
so, PFRPG arrived in Poland.
Fastest Paizo shipping EVAR, it took just 8 days to arrive (including the customs tax procedure - thanks Abadar for no tax on books from US !)
So, it's a TOME. Wait, no, it's the TOME.
HERE'S THE TOME compared to the Beta (right) and one other "all-in-one" core rulebook, the Call of Cthulhu RPG (left).
And MORE BOOK PORN
I love it. It's big damn book. It commands respect. I love big books, I always liked how the old oWoD core books felt, big and heavy. You can kill someone with this one.
Art is top notch. Sarah you are a marvel. Even the reused artwork doesn't hurt - you can't have too much Wayne Reynolds, ever.
This is where the magic is at. This is my game. <3 Paizo.

Im running dry o______________o that stupid amazon didn't send me my pre ordered copy. They just wasted their whole stock on everyone else. Why does everything i pre-order go wrong? Must... go... rampage!
I think I will go to the stores today and see if I can have me a copy there. And if i can I can tell amazon to go away

Nothing yet. Typhoons do strange things to shipping, and we have had two typhoons in as many weeks here in Taiwan, including the deadliest storm in fifty years. More than 500 dead, and a village gone. Who cares about a book being delayed in the face of disaster like that?
I still catch my breath when I go toward my mailbox.
