Are there any sites/wikis with additional info, such as RPGenius has one for Shackled City? I noticed it has a link to Savage Tide page but it doesn't work...

It would be an awesome help.

Here

Cheliax

If your interested in 4e Ive started my own conversion blog here at The Chronicles of Abysm.

Demogorgon's Speech is awesome, but not nearly enough material as the Shackled City Wiki. Too bad... :/

Fierce supporter of 3.5, I'm afraid. But I read a bit, it looks nice. If we weren't near the end (finishing 8th chapter), I would have made a similar one!

You might want to mine goodies from the various Savage Tide campaign journals.

Do you perhaps have a suggestion/link for some of the better ones?

Define "better". ^_^

Almost everyone has put there own spin on the STAP, to varying degrees. Carborundum is one of the 2 or 3 current STAP campaigns underway, although sadly his website is in Dutch (thus I cannot read it). I ran one, PH Dungeon another, Belessa has one in progress (from her character's point of view if I recall correctly). They are in the Campaign Journal forum near the bottom of the messageboard page here. :)

The one that ran to the end and contains useful suggestions/modifications/changes? :D Tips on tricky encounters? More flavorful npcs? Something along those lines, similar to the Shackled City wiki I linked in the earlier post.

I found these 3:

http://paizo.com/paizo/messageboards/community/gaming/campaignJournals/nera kRunsSavageTide35

Out of which only yours is any use to me, since my group is nearing the end of the 8th chapter. Since it has whooping 829 pages, I think I'll start reading from the end. :D

And I put most of my stat blocks at the end pages, you won't have to wade through too much to get to the good parts. ^_^

Spoiler:
You should note the CR 50 monstrosity I had hiding in the inky water in the final showdown room with the Big D. Note that I basically flat-out told my players "don't attack the Thing in the water... you will regret it". They were wise enough to Listen. Since I put that statblock up I've revised it a touch or two to fine-tune my concept since I first put it together.

Oh I doubt my players would survive any of your beefed up monstrosities. They steel hate me for killing 5/6 of them with your Augmented Antagonist applied on Vanthus in Tides of Dread. :D

Reading your journal, I'm just curious how the hell did your players survive all that? They don't seem that optimized, mostly having only core classes (aside from the Mystic Theurge, which is an awful class), which is a recipe for disaster without all those nifty special abilities prestige classes give.

You forget about "Cherry Picking" equipment, feats and divine metamagic ... plus like, FOUR clerics out of 7 or 8 players.

Pick up a half-dozen assorted Standard and Greater Necklaces of Prayer Beads, layer on the Persistent Divine Metamagic and you see a group at the latter stages packing some terrifying additional bonuses. Enough to permit Bubba and Da Fighter to pretty routinely Power Attack EVERYTHING.

I'm glad you liked Augmented Antagonist on your Vanthus! Nothing says "we're getting revenge" like an 80% fatality rate. ^_^

How did your Olangru do?

I didn't boost him enough, so I'm ashamed that he didn't kill anyone. :/

Lemorian Golem did kill half of them, though. :D If only temporary (Revivify).

If you want to be nasty, you could say that some one "grabs" the lovable ape, rezzes and "improves" him. Thus, you bring him back for sweet, sweet revenge on the party at a much higher CR, borrowing others' delectable suggestions for portraying him. I liked him as a buddy for Khala along with Cuddles, Ulioth and a small troupe of souped-up Taboo Temple Kopru. My players learned to HATE 'Blasphemy' with a passion.

Nah, with that logic I could bring any of the past villains back, that kinda steals the glory from the players... Although The Seventh also has Blasphemy (she, Wyther and that Yagnoloth are the only ones remaining in the Fleet hideout) and my players are lvl 15 (she is CL 16) meaning Dazed and Str damage. :D I kinda pitty the Half-Celestial Cleric who'll get paralyzed for 1d10 minutes without saving throw... :D

Oh that's right! I had forgotten that they were looking at hitting the Crimson Fleet. Dazed is almost as good as nauseated too, and if you have baddies able to fire off 2 or 3 in consecutive rounds, it gets ugly for the character PDQ. ^_^

I presume your half-celestial PC is a native outsider, or there's a nasty DC Will save to not get sent packing back to her celestial plane.

I think that's one thing a lot of people forget (myself included) - when on other planes and you get hit by such things as blasphemy et al, you gotta make that Will save to not get packed off back to the Material. ^_^ Should make things ugly in a hurry in quite a few parts of the latter AP, eh?

Native, unfortunately. But starting from next chapter, it'll be a blast (for me :D ) to use it often! :D

^_^ Enjoy it, the amount of magic your group will be burning from bouncing to and fro the Material Plane should be generating chuckles galore.

"Failed the Will save again, eh?"

"Yep."

"What now?"

Rustling of paper currency "Go pick up a pizza and some beverages for us? These guys will take forever to get you back into play."

"Yep."

EDIT: Have any of your baddies survived earlier confrontations with your group?

Well, they had a run in with Kedward Bone who survived because of the Contingent Teleport, but that encouter was pretty improvised, I didn't actually plan for it to happen. I didn't even alter his spell list (Mass Charm Monster as his highest lvl spell, yeah right) else he would have wiped the floor with them (I'm a wizard expert :D), but I have plans for him to make an appearance. :D

I enjoy making the campaign dreadfullt difficult, but I avoid making TPKs, since they're pretty bonded with their characters and the RP is good. It'd be kinda lame to make a new character who began at lvl 16... But half of them are good on the optimizing side, so they manage...

I'm not saying to outright slaughter your group (I have a special kraken for that), but to really challenge them is all. If they have to *gasp* beat a retreat now and again, it's not the end of the world.

Hopefully your Wizard comes back a bit wiser (from his last run in with them of course ... plus any divinations at his disposal) and better prepared for them.

Perhaps he is tasked to "harrass" them at the behest of the Crimson Fleet?

That he does. While they were in Scuttlecove, I constantly harassed them with Yuan-Ti Assassins and sent out a special mercenery group to kill them (I posted their stats in 'List of customised/modified/additional NPCs, monsters etc' topic).

As a reward for surviving this chapter, which I made difficult for them, I'll be giving them a huge treasure pile as a part of that Iron Chest which suggested the items should be tailor made for the campaign. And since I didn't give them enough items in the current chapter, I decided to be generous. They're 15th, soon to be 16th lvl, so when they finish with the chapter they'll be 33% till 17th, so I set up a limit of 300 000 gold for their gear. This is what I'll be giving them:

Half-Elf Bard/Seeker of the Song will get Admiral's Bicorne (from Stormwrack) and Tome of Leadership and Influence +5

Dwarf Druid will get the Trappings of the Beast set (from Complete Champion) and Manual of Bodily Health +5

Human Conjurer/Master Specialist/Archmage will get Robe of the Archmagi and Tome of Clear Thought +5

Elf Paladin/Champion of Corellon Larethian will get a Holy Avenger (modified by me to be an intelligent item with the spirit of the Movanic Deva, Nidrama (from Shackled City) to improve the party's hatred for Vanthus)

and the Half-Celestial Cleric/Radiant Servant of Pelor with Vow of Poverty will get Book of Exalted Deeds (because he has Vow of Poverty, he's vastly underpowered concerning items, so I said why not :D).

Sounds like a great set of goodies! The +5 ability bump is not the end of the world when they still have five other crummy ones. ^_^

And a Book of Exalted Deeds, given where the VoP is detailed, is rather ... appropriate I think. :)

very ugly for my players.
The Pcs will be "extraplanar" on the abyss.
And extraplanar means banishment, and dismissal.

oh. and i banned blasphemy, for now, because i'll destroy any party with this spell.
I decided to give the enemies other (cough cough broken) spells.

It is a good thing for the PCs that they do not count as summoned - else the numerous critters with magic circle and protection from good/chaos/law would by and large stop them in their tracks.

Although anti-life shell should be pretty effective I'm thinking. ^_^

fwiw: at least when the players become 14th level they don't have to worry about the numerous Hezrou Blasphemies anymore. That 'coming of age' was cause for much celebration in my group.

Well, I'm not sure if this blog/wiki will be updated anymore, but there's probably some stuff you can use from the first half of the path on it.
