Halara missed her attack, and Avarshinal's summon also missed. The mongrelwoman continued to bleed as did Anevia. Nau healed Thorst. Valkyrie hit the cultist, and Thorst almost hit her. The cultist began to run away from the fight throwing down her weapon.

Halara and Valkyrie followed the cultists woman down the hallway, and found themselves accosted by rats. Avarshinal remained where he was thinking the fight to be over. Nau helped Anevia, and Thorst tried to end the cultist woman still bleeding out. The final cultist woman continued her fleeing down the hallways.

Indeed I would. That's why I have positioned myself close to her anyway. Halara threatens 10 ft away from her, but not the 5ft around her.

So the cultists is unable to get any further as she is hit by the glaive and goes down. One of the rats is cut down by Thorst's attack.

Nau now tries to heal Anevia to get her back on her feet.

Halara brought down the cultist, but she failed to hit the rat. Valkyrie hit on the rats threatening her right before Thorst came down and cut one down. Nau got Anevia back on her feet with his magic while two of the rats attacked. One bit Halara, and the other bit Valkyrie.

Anevia gets back up and grabs her bow from where it fell.

Nau moves forward and gets into position to attack the rats.

The rats now have many targets so they begin to attack all around them.

Rat 1 attempts to attack Valkyrie while Rat 3 attacks Thorst.

Halara, Thorst, and Valkyrie all tried to attack a rat, but failed. Nau moved into position to attack soon, and the rats attacked. One of them failed to find any purchase on Valkyrie, but the other rat lands a great blow on Thorst.

Rat 3. The one that attacked me.

Nau attacks the rat. Seeing that almost no-one has been able to land a blow he goes for precision instead of quantity.

But even with his extra care he is unable to harm the rat.

The final rat attacks Valkyrie out of a desperate need to kill.

The rat hits Valkyrie biting deep into her flesh. Then it backs into the corner looking at everyone with fury in its beady little eyes.

No-one seemed to be able to land a blow on the rats until Thorst slaughtered one of the little fellows throwing fur and blood everywhere. Then the final rat bite Valkyrie and backed into a corner.

The Shaman gets angry that such pitiful creatures were able to cause so much trouble for them! And she could bet they weren't even evil!

Halara stops for a second, looking at Valkyrie with a scared face. She makes some movement with her mouth, but no sound comes out of it. Crazy? "I'll quickly check it out, I'll come back if it's not safe." Thorst starts climbing down.

Thorst climbs down and finds himself in a cavern. The air in this cavern smells of damp and mold. Water glistens on the walls, and collects in a stagnant pool along one wall. Two barricades have been set up and Thorst can see two mongrelmen standing behind them. One has a club, and the other has a crossbow. They both get themselves ready as they see the half-orc appear.
