Are all the set pieces assigned and planned out for CoT adventure path?

As one of the more vocal advocates of the Set Pieces (I think I've posted in every thread where someone said they didn't like them :) ) I have to say I'm disappointed.

With 32 mods out now, one could always use the Pathfinder Society mods for occasional adventures, even in a house-rules game. They're quite good. Nothing in the Darklands yet, or Varisia, but if you're playing in the eastern Inner Sea regions (APs 4 and 5), there might make fine little mini adventures and side quests to insert between the regular adventures.

EDIT - Mod 32 looks like it's going to be in the Darklands.

The fiction's not going anywhere. In fact... if something's been a mainstay of the AP since the first volume (fiction, adventure, pregenerated characters, and bestiary for the most part) chances are VERY good that they'll stay there to the end. Which hopefully is years and years and years away! :-)

With pregenerated characters biting the dust (and understandably so) I worry a bit for the fiction. When the set pieces went away (another good call) the reasoning was that Pathfinder Society filled the gap. With Pathfinder Tales (and the Web Fiction tab) I worry that the fiction may be vulnerable.

Now, were the fiction to give way for more adventure, or more crunchy bits then maybe I'd support it. But we know that can't happen -- those other types of bits are much more work intensive.

If the fiction gives way to less page count (with no drop in price, as James said earlier the APs are actually underpriced) then that's not great either. I think the majority would rather get something in place of nothing at the same price.

As for the fiction itself I think it fills a very nice niche within the AP. It offers a different perspective to the area of the AP than can otherwise be presented in the adventure. Unlike Pathfinder Tales novels the fiction is closely tied to the AP-at-hand. It can also be used to hook people on the Tales as well.

So here's a preemptive shot over the bow asking for fiction to live.

And Sean K. Reynolds, I LOL'd. I love puns!
