OKhe said as three burly looking men and and two pretty woman enter the room two of the men look quite similar possibly twins the other one still looks very tired he's not wearing a shirt and looks like he was drinking heavily last night, the two woman both are human one with long dark hair one with slightly shorter dark hair the one with the shorter hair is the one who left with Jean-Paul last night.
Hans and Beyar are the twins Bojask is the guy with the hangover and these two are Ashli and Lixy.
Hans and Beyar just nod Bojask staggers back out of the room clutching his head and the Girls smile.
at that point Saul pushes past them Ah ha! your all here well come on then let's go for a tour!! oh! wheres Zareby? he leads you out of the room and around the following area Gold goblin map this is incredibly lazy of me i have pinched someone else's picture but i couldnt get the map scanned in cause my scanner isn't really working properly sorry everyone!

24. Waiting Area This is where you met with Saul the first night.
25. Saul’s Office This room is kept locked, and Saul has never let you in here.
26. Unknown you’ve never been in here.
27. Dining Room A fine table marred by a few nicks and scratches stands surrounded by eight chairs and surmounted by a trio of gold candlesticks. The walls of the chamber are covered in thick purple tapestries depicting gold- threaded nymphs frolicking in a silver-threaded forest, which completely cover the door to area 30 to prevent light from shining through into that chamber. Saul and his management team (you) take their meals here.
28. Saul’s Room This room is locked and you’ve never been in here.

30. Security Catwalks These narrow, swaying, railed catwalks hang suspended by chains hooked to the ceiling 10 feet above. Immediately below them is a layer of gauzy curtains serving as the false ceiling of area 2 below. Security personnel typically patrol these walks watching for cheaters. This is where Narnel will likely work.
BASEMENT
31. Wine Cellar
32. Wrangler’s Chamber This is Bojask’s room.
33. The Red Room This rough chamber has a short bar and a number of battered tables and chairs squeezed into it. The walls and floors are crudely painted a rusty red. This is the Gold Goblin’s “underground” bar that services the Octahedron. A bartender and guard handle the crowds when the fighting pit is open. Drinks here cost double what they cost at the Goblin’s Tankard.
34. Guard Alcove
35. Armory Hanging from the walls of this hall are weapons used by Octahedron combatants intelligent enough to make use of them, as well as a variety of chains, harnesses, spiked collars, leashes, and other animal training equipment.
36. Arena Steeply inclined bleachers and narrow stairs make up this crude arena that looks down into the Octahedron fighting pit 10 feet below. A short stone rail and iron bars running from the rail to the ceiling prevent any accidental entries into the contests. Two nights a week, this arena hosts a crowd of about 30 spectators with a 1 sp cover charge.
37. The Octahedron A sand-floored fighting pit.
Narnel Gallion |
Following along after the guide, Narnel moves through the different rooms, studying them intently and memorizing the layout. When the tour is done he looks to the others. "Do you have any thoughts? If we are to serve as partners here, we don't wish to be attacked again. If there is a way, it might be best if we can stop this early."
Also, Apathy, if we passed within 10ft of any secret doors, I get that automatic elf check to detect them. My perception is just a +2 so I don't have a great chance in any case. I figured you would want to roll that in secret though, so I just was going to note it here.
Leux |
I do not have any new idea's, since I will be closer to any actual action. The only thing I can think of is if I see something I could always shoot a message to a few of you. he says with a wink to the group.
Also apathy same with Narnel the active search for hidden doors. If you add the +2 for sight perception checks I would have a +8 to the check otherwise it is just a +6
Jean-Paul d'Austaire |
Having finished his breakfast and given Ashlii a smile and a wink, Jean-Paul follows Saul on the tour of the place. It seemed well built, with the vault at least seeming quuite secure. The fact there was a fighting pit below had him worried. The potential for dangerous trouble was very high when thee things were run, but he trusted Saul knew what he was doing.
At Narnel's question he pipes up "First thing I'd be doing is limiting or removing all weapons in the place. If the guards and bouncers are the only ones wielding something bigger than a dagger, it may help to stop the type of thing we had last night. Also, you're going to need more staff if we're the only ones you've got and we only work 4 hour shifts!"
He'd noted that last point becasue he honestly couldn't see how an establishment this big would run with only ten people. They'd need just that many croupiers and dealers to cover the tables let alon provide protection. But then, maybe he was thinking too big for what Saul had in mind.
Zareby Grenache |
A few hours later, Zareby returns to the Goblin. "So, did I miss anything?"
After a quick summary of the tour he missed, Zareby heads down to the hall to prepare for work.
Profession(Gambler) for the week: 17
Narnel Gallion |
Narnel works the catwalks as a spotter, but for being an elf and having keen eyes, he isn't the most reliable at picking out problems. He gets far too distracted with his notes or paying attention to the games to try and sort out all the details of them rather then catching cheaters.
Profession gambler(or perception) for the week (1d20+0=3)
I rolled straight wisdom because I don't have either of those skills, but if its perception for me instead of profession gambler, then my roll is two higher. But even with a 5, I doubt I helped too much. Sorry guys, I haven't been able to roll on invisible castle for quite a while. I think IC is very unhappy with me.
Leux |
Spending time between being a musician and a bartender to "pay the bills" He thinks he might be catching on. I went ahead and did both performing and diplomacy checks because he wants to get his name out as a musician and likes to hear stories and work as a psychologist on the side, if that is okay Apathy
Jean-Paul d'Austaire |
Jean-Paul moves easily through the gambling halls, checking for trouble and trying to talk down any situations as much as possible. Certainly he was never going to be scary enough to stop things. He'd have to rly on knowing when people were getting antsy and then calming them before escorting them from the premises.
IC did something funny with my rolls. Think it was how I put them in. any way, in order are Intimidate, Sense motive and Diplomacy for the week. 1d20-1=3, 1d20+5,1d20+5=[8, 5], [7, 5]. So that's a whopping 3 for intimidate, 13 for sense motive and 12 for diplomacy. Hehe lucky i cna actually use my wepons I reckon.
Rorsius |
Hey, making sure everyone knows i'm still alive. Sorry about the lack of posting Guys, real hectic week. This will likely be the last post I'll be able to post this weekend as well as I have some plans away from internet access this weekend. I should get back into the rhythm of things next week. Thanks for all of the patience guys.-MM
Leux |
With a nod and a smile he says to Saul Sure thing, sir. In your office or after the close of business? With the information he has he starts to wander the establishment quietly humming/singing to himself, but once in a while he stops points and continues on but after he points he very quietly mumbles as if talking to himself, before he starts to hum again.
In case you are wondering I am targeting all other members of the party, except Narnel and anyone else if they are in the catwalk area, and is relaying Sauls information via the message spell. Gotta love PF Bards and cantrips with such obvious RP potential.
After he is done with the floor he heads for the entry way for the upper levels and continues up to the catwalk area to inform Narnel of what Saul told him.
Jean-Paul d'Austaire |
Jean-Paul stood observing the gambling room, his two swords resting comfortably at his hips. The work required much concentration as he watched for signs of trouble. Unfortunately, it was also tedious. It reminded him of sentry duty in the northern barracks of Cheliax, and thinking back on Cheliax always depressed th young man.
Suddenly Leux was whispering in his ar. The startled fighter turned but couldn't find a sign of the bard anywhere. He scanned the room and saw the elf moving of through the crowds and his skin prickled in goose bumps. Damnable magic!. Then he smiled boradly, useful trick though.
He waited till he saw the others heading to the office then moved off himself. A job! Well, hopefully it held more excitement than the bouncing gig had so far.
Narnel Gallion |
Narnel starts a little bit, distracted from his notes as everyone begins to appear up in the catwalks with him. He has been trying hard to pay attention to the hustle below, but its hard to maintain focus on such trivial things for too long when there is so much to uncover still.
He turns to the others and tilts his head a bit. "What has happened?"
Poor Narnel and his low observational abilities getting made a spotter.
Apathy |
Saul also turned up on the catwalks oh good your all here! see him down there Saul points at a man dressed in nicer cloths than your average Worker in the gold goblin He has graying brown hair cut extremely short and is sitting at a Golem table, See him that is Clegg Zincher! i know for a fact he doesn't usually gamble much, He must be here to do something to my gambling hall, i want you to keep an eye on him or, or get him out of the hall or something, Just don't let him do anything!!! with that Saul wonders off the Catwalks and Heads for his office.

it's Cool take as much time as you need=)
Zareby Grenache |
"Well, I'll watch him for now." With that, Zareby heads down to the floor and taps the golem dealer on the shoulder. "Hey, we're supposed to switch tables for the evening. Boss's orders." With that, he takes his place at the table and begins to deal the cards.
Bluff: 15
Jean-Paul d'Austaire |
Jean-Paul frowns at the man, then states simply "I'll be down near the table Zareby. If he looks like hes casuing trouble, just signal and I'll ask him to leave politely"
He moves back into the room, and then checks the rest of the tables nearby for signs that the man is working with others.
Perception and sense motive. 1d20=8, 1d20+5=9.
As far as the young fighter could tell, the man was working alone. It would certainly be foolish of him to try something now.
Narnel Gallion |
Knowing that he isn't too good at spotting things, nor all that great at up close and personal combat, Narnel moves to the catwalks above to observe. He mostly watches for any sort of signal from the others, since he realizes he might not see it from the man himself.
I'll make a perception check if you think I might spot anything, though I don't mind if you roll for me either(+2 total for visual and audible perception) so that I don't know what I got. Otherwise I'm just going to wait and be ready in case one of the others respond to something.
Leux |
Figuring that he could help Narnel out a bit plus put him in view of all the others, Leux stays on the catwalks to help out, trying to notice if the target is doing anything "fishy"
perception 1d20+8(sight)

*edit* That total was 17 sorry about that
Apathy |
The elves and Jean-Paul Notice nothing fishy, except he seems to have started talking to Zareby.
Zareby
Zareby Grenache |
GM:
Zareby talks to the man and continues dealing cards.
Narnel Gallion |
Paying attention to the man, Narnel has a thought that he should make use of some of his other talents to see if anything suspicious is going on, since he isn't the most observant. As quiet as he can he casts Detect Magic to see if there are any noticable auras on the man or around him.
Rorsius |
Rorsius keeps an eye on the man from a distance, as well as those around him. He searches for any signs of trouble.
Perception and Sense Motive, respectively. 1d20+6=21, 1d20+6=26
Ah yes, Rorsius is still the master of natural 20's on Sense Motive Checks
Apathy |
Narnel detects no magic around Zincher, Rorsius notices (oh my god that's like 4 natural 20's so far???) That Zincher looks like he's going to leave soon he's not playing his best game of golem he's not really thinking much about it evidently and looks like he's about to stand up at any point constantly adjusting his position on the seat.
Jean-Paul d'Austaire |
Jean-Paul again scans the room, looking for further trouble. If nothing happened soon he was just going to walk over to the man and tell him to leave. The boss obviously didn't want him here, so that made things very simple as far as the young fighter was cocerned.
Perception, sense motive. 1d20=20, 1d20+5=14. The perceprion is for the rooom in general. The sense motive is specifically for the patsy at the table. Looks like young Rorsius' luck is rubbing off on this game!
Apathy |
Sorry Jean-Paul! you notice nothing Rorsius didn't allready
Zareby
You all see Zincher get up Say something to Zareby than start to make his way to the door
Zareby Grenache |
DM:
Assuming he comes back and gives me something worthwhile... "Alright, you see that guy over there? *Nods head towards random person* He works for Ziphras. Here for the same reason you are. He tried recruiting the elf this morning.
Bluff, for getting him to think I'm going to tell him something useful and for the fake info itself: 26, 17

Zincher stops in his tracks as Zareby starts to speak and turns to sit down next to him,the remaining two other player's at the table stand up and walk of to a Skiffs table

Sense Motive, does he seem to believe my previous lie?: 17
Jean-Paul d'Austaire |
At the cry from the kitchen, Jean-Paul begins to move. He draws both his weapons, calling for peopel to clear a path for him as he goes. No careful consideration or thoughtful plan this time, he merely kicks the door open when gets there and tries to spot the animal.
Strength check to kick door open if needed - 1d20+3=10. Hopefullly its just a swing door :). Perception if I get the door open. 1d20=17.
Narnel Gallion |
Spotting may not be his specialty, but retaining his focus and paying attention even in chaos is something that Narnel certainly is good at. While everyone else seems to be running for the kitchen, the elf keeps his gaze locked on the one that the boss told us to, making sure he doesn't get up to anything. He's ready to answer if someone from the party indicates he is needed in the kitchen, but otherwise he assumes they can deal with a snake on their own and watches to make sure the man doesn't get lost in the crowd.
Rorsius |
Perhaps taking his cue from Narnel, Rorsius moved swiftly to the side of Zincher and clasped his arm"If You'll come with me Sir We try to keep our higher profile customers safe from these minor distractions." With that Rorsius usher's the man to the room used for interrogation swiftly if the man is willing, if not-Well the man probably doesn't want to consider any other options. Rorsius Glances up at Narnel and motions for him to join him.
Rorsius |
Unphased by Zareby's motion, Rorsius talked while continuing on his course."Don't be naive Zareby, it's standard security Procedures." He said simply as he shook the hand off his shoulder with a shrug."I don't plan on roughing him up. If you've taken such a liking to him then you're welcome to keep him company. Maybe he'd like a drink from the bar first. Maybe a snack." The gravely voice said dryly
Narnel Gallion |
Narnel gives a small shake of his head to Rorsius when he is motioned to come down. He's more effective if he can keep his eyes on the man rather then distracting himself by moving down the stairs out of sight. He can't tell what is being said between the monk and the sorceror, but its obvious that the man is likely to be taken into custody so he readies himself.
If they let the man walk away freely or moves off with Rorsius he will just walk down to join them, but if the man goes to try and run from them he is going to grease the area at his feet. Grease DC 16
