Hey Neil - do you know if there is going to be any gaming done at Heroes Con in June? I live in Wilmington and am planning to come to the con for at least one day, maybe two.
Heroes Con is more about comics than RPGs, from what I know. I've got a few friends that venture to Heroes Con every year. But I've yet to crash that party.
For a long time, the Charlotte area didn't really have a gaming convention. DragonCon in Atlanta and some smaller cons up in Greensboro/High Point like StellarCon and some others up in Raliegh, I believe always catered to RPGs and what-not more than anything local. But ConCarolinas has sort of filled that gap for the immediate Charlotte area. And it's growing every year. So much so, they moved it to a larger hotel venue closer to the local university to accommodate everyone this year.

Just thought I'd post that ConCarolinas is wrapping up today. I ran a Pathfinder game (non-PFS though) as one of the gaming guests. There's a large RPGA contingent that was present, but sadly not much Pathfinder Society games going on. For future reference, this would be a great gaming con for local folks to come out and start up some PFS play. This was a banner year for ConCarolinas in terms of attendees. They broke all kinds of records. And next year should be even bigger given they're in a larger hotel with better gaming space.
FYI for the interested,
