"OW! That hurts!"

"I am SO telling mom and dad that you have a boyfriend."

*sigh*

"My baby brother, being obnoxious? I'm shocked. Shocked, I tell you," she said sarcastically, pausing for just a moment before continuing.
"Shocked that it took you a whole ten seconds to think of that. Seriously, hon, you're slipping. Whatever will become of your reputation if this gets out?" ;P

"I'm surprised they didn't try something instead of just sitting there and giggling. You guys really are slipping." He walks over and smiles at them. "Arielle, how fast do you think they can run?"

"Hmmmm.....I don't know. They're awfully fast when they're sneaking out. I'd say maybe.....well, as fast as a cheetah maybe?"

He goes pale.

"I'm sorry Arielle. We didn't mean anything by it, honest! Anyways, it was all his idea!" he stammered, pointing at Helm.

"Stop being such a suck-up, Hastur. Besides," he added with a wicked grin, "we can run way faster than a stupid cheetah."

LK shifts, his form growing and cracking as he takes his hybrid form on. He smiles down at the two brothers, fangs gleaming as saliva drips from them.

"Think you can out run me?" He asks quietly.

A goblin stumbles into the Grove, holding a dusty mug. He looks around. "Now this is not bar!" Then he notices Kiba. "WEREWOLF!" he shrieks. "Eat silver, dog!" He reaches into his pocket and throws a steel fork at Little Kiba. The fork doesn't even come close to hitting. Garble then stumbles off. "Where is that bar?!"

Hastur looks very nervous.

"Helm, I'm not sure this is such a good idea...."he said nervously.

"It's not a good idea. It's a great idea."

Helm grinned maniacally. As Arielle let go of the boys' ears Helm grabbed Hastur and dragged him along as he sped away at the speed of wind.

Arielle shook her head bemusedly as she watched the strange glittery goblin wander into the grove and then back out.

LK howls as he sends a pack of wind puppies after the fleeing brothers. He becomes human again and laughs.

"One of these days I'll have to actually chase them..."

She laughed.

"I wouldn't if I were you. They come up with some pretty elaborate traps."

"I'd be scared if I hadn't taught them myself. Everything they know is basically a watered-down version of hunting traps."

She raised an eyebrow.

"So this probably shouldn't be the time to tell you that Hastur found an abandoned library last week and Helm has been cackling about something ever since?"

"Maybe he just found an old medical book or something.."

Little Kiba wrote:

She patted his shoulder.

"You just keep telling yourself that, sweetheart."

"Actually, I was thinking more along the lines of him finding a picture he thought was funny. But if he wants to take a shot at me, someone who can make his body act like water and sand, I just hope there are witnesses."

*snerk*

"Just make sure whatever you do to him that you can put the pieces back together again. Mom would be pretty upset if anything permanent were to happen to him."

She took his hand.

"So. I give it about ten minutes before they end up back here. Unless those wind puppies have more tricks in store than I'm aware of."

LK smiles as he gets a laugh.

"When you say 'put the pieces back together' do you mean so they work or just that they fit?"

"If you want some extra time, I can see if the puppies taking their clothes would slow them down. Otherwise, we need to find another place to swing and enjoy the quiet." He murmurs to the tree-swing and it slowly reverses it's growth cycle until it's just a group of seeds hidden underground. "I suggest the Oasis or Aidan's World, both of which we can get to almost instantly with Yggdrasil's help, and both of which are next to empty."

"Oh," she gasped in surprise as the swing suddenly ungrew.

"Hmmm. I'm thinking the Oasis. Seems a little more private. And has the added advantage that the brats don't even know it exists."

"And of course I mean so they work. Silly. He may be a pain, but he's still my brother." ;)

"So I can't take him apart? I'm getting mixed signals here.."

"Do you want to ride on my back like you used to or have you figured out how to fly?" He teases. "Flying would be very cool, and since you're not wearing a skirt, you can't say I only want you to fly so I can look up it with the excuse that I want to tell you something!" He says with a wink, barely able to contain his laughter and keep a straight face.

"......" *blush*

*hands over panties as she realizes that her skirt has come off a la that one scene with Jessica Alba and the car in Good Luck Chuck* ;P She was wearing a skirt...

You are talking about Arielle in that last part, yes? I was under the impression she was wearing pants back at the Club. If she was wearing a skirt as LK tried to teach her survival skills, I can see why she's no good at it. Proper attire goes a long way! ;)

Yeppers. She has a chain shirt that leaves her belly button exposed and a short schoolgirl style skirt....yeah, that may explain some of her difficulties with survivial skills. :P

You have not gone a long way to keep a now imminent talk with your mother going well, have you?

1. Wear clubbing outfit.
2. Go to a Club you probably shouldn't have.
3. Dance with another.. scratch that. *scribbles over 3*
3.5. Get caught by brothers alone with newly acquired boyfriend in outfit from one.

On the run from your brothers just became running from your mother.

"Oh my!" LK says as he places a hand over his mouth in 'shock.' "You are indeed wearing a skirt! I wonder if, had you worn the pants I said would be best for learning survival skills, you would have found that catapult in the haystack

For the second time today, he turns and runs away from Arielle, though this time he's heading for the Oasis laughing his head of instead of running for the Club screaming bloody murder.

"Oh, you...you...you....Get back here!"

She chases after him.

lol....this would be the same mother who thinks that a bikini is a good all occasion garment, yes? ;P

Did I say I wouldn't enjoy the talk? XD

*runs faster*

"Okay....well....everything is connected to Yggdrasil somewhere right? Maybe if we can find that point we can get in there?"
"I guess we can try that." Canis says as he takes control of the swirling ether...

..and takes them to the foot of Yggdrasil. He coughs for a moment as his lungs exchange the air from the ether for normal air, and he smiles as he looks at the World Ash.

"Seeing this tree never gets old. It's up to you to get the message through, but I can ground any amount of power you're going to use for it."

"Come one, I want to try and break the wards!" :D

She nods and puts a hand on the Tree. Both of her parents had their life forces tied to Yggdrasil and she'd spent the majority of her life on or near it, so it was easy for her to talk to it. She followed the flow of the sap to the place she wanted, out onto the outer branches and through a hidden fork to a slender twig. She'd never seen a world connected to the Tree by so little before. It was barely enough to get a thought through, but she sent it with all the strength she could muster. She sent the message for Taron since he seemed less uptight than his sister and more likely to help them through the boundary. It was a good thing that she had Canis here to help ground her or she might lose track of where she left her body she was stretched so far.

"Of all the ways I thought you might try contacting us," Tarons says as he appears next to Arielle as Canis is helping her keep steady, "I never would have thought you'd use a tree. So, am I too guess that I'm hear because the pup needs me to tweak his mind again? I can even make him stop shedding on the furniture if you want."

"Taron!" she said, grinning, as she carefully disengaged her senses from Yggdrasil. "No, no need for adjusting Canis. I like him just the way he is. Actually we were kinda hoping to stop by your place for a visit, after all, fair's fair, and we could really use some time away from my little brothers. But there was no way to get in, so I got the idea to use Yggdrasil to contact you. And trust me, if you knew more of our history, using a tree to contact you wouldn't seem at all strange. I've spent most of my life on or around this tree."

"I don't shed..." Canis mumbles as he claps Taron on the back.

Taron grins knowingly as he hears Arielle's reasoning for the trip.

"Oh, trust me, I know all about needing time away from little brothers. With a bit of exaggeration, I'm pretty sure mine will have you running back to hug yours after only a few hours-if you even last that long. Now I'm going to assume you want to go to my world now? I've got several places that I can show you that I'm sure you'd enjoy, but the school is, in my opinion, one of the most interesting places under the world."

"You, Airelle, should have a bit of a warning. Agartha is a world without a sky. We're hidden inside another planet, which means our roof is nothing but rock. Since you're as much air as your are flesh, I feel you should know that."

"Pup, I'm sure you'll find some of the school's students interesting. I know they'll find you interesting." Taron says cryptically.

"If there aren't any questions, I can take you to Agartha now. I just hope Grandma doesn't have wards that keep outsiders from being brought in. I've never looked for those before..."

"Don't worry about me, I'm comfortable underground. And I'm really looking forward to seeing the school," she said, her green eyes twinkling as she waited for Taron to take them to their destination.

"Okay then." Pulling out a plain key, Taron creates a doorway of sorts. On the other side the road to the school from the city he had just been in can be seen, and perhaps a 20 minutes walk to the school. "I used to make tunnels that were nice to walk through, but... we had a spoilsport join us by accident once, so no more tunnels. Unfortunately, this way is more likely to cause temporary nausea until you get used to it." He steps through, turns around to look at them, and says...

When the other three aren't looking, a large-headed shadow approaches the portal...

No, I prob'by won't bring Garble in. 'least not now, I'll look into later. I don't want to introduce ANOTHER adult, even a rather immature one. I'm pretty sure we have enough janitors, and he's got nothing he can teach that isn't already being taught. :P
