Any Pathfinders around Ottawa, Ontario?

Hi, I'm really interested in getting involved with the society. I'd prefer to be a player but have recently started considering being a GM as well.

I was wondering what kind of interest there is for the Ottawa area. Closest I can find is in burlington which is a good 5 hour drive.

There's a few of us kicking around, and more in Montreal. There should be a pretty good showing at Can Games this year, but we really haven't gotten regular sessions going at all.

Montreal isn't so bad.. closer than Burlington at least.

I know that (most likely) everyone in my gaming group would be interested :p

Maybe I'll throw up a post down at Fandom. See what kind of response I get there.

Can Games?

What, when, where? :)

CanGames takes place on the May long weekend at the Rideau Curling Club. I believe that this is the 33rd year that it has run. It has a really nice mix of styles of gaming for a smallish convention, lots of cool boardgames and miniatures, as well as rpg's.

If you're in the Ottawa area and haven't been yet, you're missing out.

It would be cool to have a good Pathfinder society turnout this year. I'm sure that Craig would run one or both of his scenarios, and maybe we can even hope that Messrs Kortes and/or Dayon might be persuaded to show.

I'm not affiliated with the con, except for all of the fun that I've had the 10 or so times that I've played there.

I am scheduled to run both my adventures, and Matthieu has also signed up to run his, and there are a few others on the schedule. Unfortunately the con doesn't have enough free tables for me to run more than one slot of each of my adventures (although I'm hoping to squeeze in if there are other cancellations). Still, there will be a table of PFS stuff going on for pretty much the whole con.

Thanks for the link. I'm 6.5 hours away, but we get to Ottawa couple of times per year. I wonder if my wife would be suspicious if I suggested we go visit her parents that weekend...

I'll be sure to try and stop by can games this year then (I've missed out a couple years.

Though I'd still like to get something going more than once every 52 weeks :p didn't get out to fandom like I wanted to, given that it was monday.

Aestolia,

A few of us had talked about trying to get together to run some events at the Wizard's Tower in Barrhaven but have just not been able to work out schedules. I'm sure that there would be people that would be willing to play in PFS scenarios now and then outside of just CanGames.

Hi Aestolia,

I invite you to join the Montreal/PQ Pathfinder Yahoo! group: ( http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/pathfinder_quebec/).
We would be happy to have you and your friends over :)

We play now and then. For example, we have a game going this weekend--but I believe it has already got its quota of players--and an other one is scheduled for March 15th.

Cheers

Well, there is that RPG Superstar 2009 guy.

Trevor Gulliver, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

I sure would hook up with him if he were here. Not sure he would want to hook up with me though. Given he's a....... Superstar!

Trevor's Pathfinder character, as you might imagine, is quite...unique.

He is a lot of fun to play with. :)
