Anyway... I don't mean to be annoying or go against this thread's topic, but i don't really think it is needed to give titles to characters levels.
Levels don't mean anything for characters, as most of the rules elements, they are just concepts of the game system.
Yes, some characters are more powerful than some others because they are higher levels, but they could also just be stronger, or more versed into magic.

I understand and i agree that it can be more pleasant to talk about the average power of a character with an evocative name rather than a dull number.
But that's what i am saying : It is destined to be used by the players and DM, not the characters.
Therefore, rather than using class related titles, you can name successive brackets of levels.
Something like that :
Level 1-5 : Novice
Level 6-10 : Adept
Level 11-15 : Champion
Level 16-20 : Hero
Level 21+ : Epic

My group likes the idea cause we have players who ask what level or about what level is this guy this is a way to make it easier for our game
Doesn't it make it harder for everyone? You have to memorise over 40 new titles in the core game alone!
There shouldn't be a colour code for levels. If they ask what level someone is, ask them how they'd know that. There might be titles/monikers that are used in some regions, organisations, or whatever, but they shouldn't be tied to character level.
A 5rd-level fighter might be known as the Weapon Master, while another, 10th-level, fighter isn't called anything. There could be a 4th-level high priest or a 15th-level run-of-the-mill cleric.
I am not even talking about the problems they would have with paladins or the forces of good or law if they were claiming such a title...
Not giving them those titles won't help I'm afraid. We're talking about paladins, after all.
- Hello, i'm an assassin.
- Hello, i'm Mr. Smite.
<Smite Evil>
The joke's on them - smite evil only works on actual alignment, not on what you (i.e. the smiting paladin) think it should work on.
