My group are busy battling the Mother below decks in the Thunderer. We had to stop halfway through the fight and will be continuing this week. With the extra bodyguards I've given her (Advanced Plant Rhagodessas) they're feeling the heat. They let slip that they're going to use the Earth Elemental gem - what are the chances that the rotten hull of the Thunderer (resting in at least 100 feet of sargasso) can support 6000kg of earth elemental on a 10x10 area?

6000 kilos or 6,000 pounds ? 13,200 pounds is a whole lot more ground pressure - and if they're on the bottom deck, I'd suggest that the 100' of super densely packed plant matter at the core of the sargasso is probably more than sufficient to support the elemental.
Depending precisely on that ground pressure of course ... 132 pounds per square foot is pretty heavy whilst 60 pounds per square foot is not enough to really be worried about.

Oops - you're right! 6000 lbs it is.
I'll have it sink through the hull a bit, half it's movement, and scare them a little. They really need a few rounds of tanking to heal the front line. Every time they charged the mother or the nasty beasties they got intercepted, grappled, held and bitten... hard. And then the nice big axes couldn't come into play either and they were stuck with headbutts and daggers.
I almost feel sorry for them!

Awesome! Let the 3-ton elemental slog forward, creating hindering terrain in its wake as the thing slowly gets demolished. Play it up as almost getting to the BBEG whilst the plant-deathbugs shred it into gravel as it collapses just outside of its ability to pound said BBEG...
After all, just because their 1st level divination spell told them it would summon one thing, doesn't mean that perhaps their gawd(s) smiled on them a bit and bought them some time...

It would indeed be delicious to have it shredded in one round.
"Ha - suck granite, plant-biatch!"
<Party cheers!>
Smash, bang, wallop, crash, crunch, chew, splinter, tinkle!
<Party looks at each other. Jaws reach the broken hull.>
"Woah."
^_^ I take it you've perused the stat-blocks from here?

Yup - the Wreck - awesome! Did the Black Bard ever post his finished version? I saw some awesome work-in-progress back in the day!
I don't rightly recall - I do know the chap who built his from lumber and real branches ended up shipping it to some one else COD though, complete with assembly instructions...
I wonder if that fella is done with it yet ?
