So, have you decided what modules will be made available next weekend...? :-)

The current list is:

High Tier Party: (I will likely DM)
#32 Drow of the Darklands Pyramid (Tiers 7-11)
#26 Lost at the Bitter End (Tiers 7-11)

Low Tier Party: (Adam will DM)
#2-15: Shades of Ice—Part I: Written in Blood
#2-17: Shades of Ice—Part II: Exiles of Winter

Low Tier Party (if player numbers warrant, probably Andy will DM):
#2-13: Murder on the Throaty Mermaid (Tiers 1-5)
#35: Voice in the Void (Tiers 1-7)

I'm still confirming these with Andy, who's just come back from holiday. The 2nd low level table is rough, may change in the coming days. As for the high level table, I went through the records and realised we missed #26 Lost at the Bitter End, and I'll convert the stats to Pathfinder.

Well, I have played all of those, so I will wait patiently to see what next month brings :-)

Thanks for letting me know, though!

As an update, Andy has let me know he can bring along a mini-printer and his laptop. As such, he may be able to change his scenarios. This is very much up in the air at the moment though, since we have no idea how many players we'll get on the day. So he may not even be needed to DM at all.

Free RPG Day this year is a fortnight today (Saturday June 18th) and this year, Paizo have prepared We Be Goblins!, a most unusual adventure for 1st-level goblin characters:

I'm organising play sessions on Free RPG Day at Good Games Sydney and Burwood:

  • Good Games Sydney, Level 1, 857 George St, Sydney, 02 9281 1760. Start at 10:30 with lunch break approx. 12:30-13:00, and aim to finish by 16:00.

Thanks for the invite Al, but I have plans for that day. Sounds like fun though.

Okay, so a quick update on Blacktown Games Day. The June day went okay, although the high level scenarios were not run (again), and we had an issue with player distribution. Andy, Adam and myself (as in the DMs) are finding it increasingly difficult to plan scenarios ahead of time due to the variation of player numbers, character levels, and scenarios available.

As a response to this, Andy and/or Adam will have a specific scenario planned as per usual, but I will be organised with a far larger list of games to cater for any spillover.

So, the schedule for July is:
Table 1 (low-tier): (Adam will DM)
#47 The Darkest Vengeance (Tiers 1-5)
#2-19: Shades of Ice—Part III: Keep of the Huscarl King (Tiers 1-5)*

Table 2 (low-tier) (Andy will DM):
#2-19: Shades of Ice—Part III: Keep of the Huscarl King (Tiers 1-5)*
#49: Among the Dead (Tiers: 1–7) [Subject to change]

Table 3 (as needed): (I will DM)
#26 Lost at the Bitter End (Tiers 7-11)
#32 Drow of the Darklands Pyramid (Tiers 7-11)
#43 The Pallid Plague Tiers (1-7)
#2-13: Murder on the Throaty Mermaid (Tiers 1-5)
#2-15: Shades of Ice—Part I: Written in Blood (Tiers 1-5)
#2-17: Shades of Ice—Part II: Exiles of Winter (Tiers 1-5)

*Having 2 tables running #2-19 is intentional

Neil:
What tier are you running 'low tier' modules at these days? Do you ever run Tier 4-5? I ask, because I have a 5th level PC one module off 6th level who I want to run through the last part of the Shades of Ice trilogy :-)

I am interested in:

#2-19: Shades of Ice—Part III: Keep of the Huscarl King (Tiers 1-5)

(For which I will bring a 5th level PC)

#2-13: Murder on the Throaty Mermaid (Tiers 1-5)

(For which I will bring a 2nd level PC)

Yes! I can make it next month! I want to play Shades of Ice—Part III with a 3rd-level witch (who just finished parts 1 and 2) and then I can play Among the Dead, Bitter End, Darklands Pyramid, or Throaty. Looking forward to it!

2/5 *

A slight change in the schedule, Andy will run #2-13 Murder on the Throaty Mermaid instead of #47 The Darkest Vengeance. Minor detail. I'll prepare Among the Dead instead.

Look forward to seeing you on the day Al.

Luke, unfortunately the table level for The Shades of Ice (part 1 & 2) was fairly low for the June game. We had a lot of new players, hence tier 1-2 was the go. That being said, I know for a fact that Kate and Al has a level 3, so it's not out of the question for a tier 4-5 table.

Hey all!

I have a question I was hoping you could answer. I live in Wagga Wagga and sorely miss the RPG scene (have not found any here yet). I was wondering if you guys did weekend games of PFRPG (just started looking into the Pathfinder Society Stuff) and if there was room for a casual player?

Sorry if the question has been answered before elsewhere.

Thanks.

Hi Tracer-Actual,

I admit, my Aussie geography isn't what it should be, but it appears to me that Canberra is closer to Wagga Wagga than Sydney, so I thought to point a few Canberra Pathfinder contacts I know of in this direction, just in case.

Hey all,

Seems as good a time as any to post the schedule for next month.

Table 1 (low-tier): (Adam will DM)
#55: The Infernal Vault (Tiers: 1–2, 3–4, and 6–7)
#2-11: The Penumbral Accords (Tiers: 1–2, 4–5)

Table 2 (low-tier) (Andy will DM): [Subject to change]
#51: The City of Strangers—Part I: The Shadow Gambit
#52: The City of Strangers—Part II: The Twofold Demise.

Table 3 (as needed): (I will DM)
#26 Lost at the Bitter End (Tiers 7-11)
#32 Drow of the Darklands Pyramid (Tiers 7-11)
#43 The Pallid Plague Tiers (1-7)
#2-19: Shades of Ice—Part III: Keep of the Huscarl King (Tiers 1-5)
[I might have more in my list, depending how much time I have to read the scenarios beforehand]

Sorry Luke, those 2 scenarios Adam will be running the following month (September). My intention is to make sure as many of the season 1 scenarios are done as possible, on account of all the newbies the club is attracting.

@Stephen White: Thanks for keeping up with this message board and answering queries, I had no idea there was a group in Wagga Wagga/ Kapooka.

Not sure if I'll be able to make it as I've been plunged into flathunting but, if I can, the only scenarios from that list that I'll be able to play are:

#26 Lost at the Bitter End (Tiers 7-11) and

Pathfinder Society at Good Games Sydney and Burwood

On the last Saturday of each month, starting this July 30, we'll be running Pathfinder Society scenarios at Good Games Sydney and Burwood.

To kick off, we'll be starting with the introductory scenarios for Season 3 which are specially designed to introduce new characters to the Pathfinder Society so it'll be a great start for both veterans and novices alike.

On Saturday July 30, you'll play 'In Service to Lore' where, in your first mission as a Pathfinder agent, the head of the Grand Lodge sends you on a number of missions throughout the metropolis of Absalom, all in the pursuit of knowledge. And if enough time remains, you'll also play 'To Delve the Dungeon Deep', in which you venture for the first time into the massive haunted dungeons beneath an abandoned siege tower in the deadly Cairnlands.

The venues are:

  • Good Games Sydney: Level 1, 857 George St, Sydney, 02 9281 1760.
  • Good Games Burwood, Level 1, 195a Burwood Rd, Burwood, 02 9715 3229.

The games will begin at 11:30 and we'll aim to be finished by 17:00.

To secure your seat, please email me at ajrigg at gmail dot com and let me know which store you will be attending. Some time may be available before the games so, if you need any help building a character, let me know.

Hope to see you there.

For clarification, as adaptables, The Godsmouth Heresy and Cult of the Ebon Destroyers can be played with a character of any level (who is artificially levelled to the appropriate level for that module only), and rewards are tiered appropriately, correct?

This is correct.

Players have several legal options when playing The Godsmouth Heresy or Cult of the Ebon Destroyers for Pathfinder Society credit.

Godsmouth Heresy

  • A player may use an existing Pathfinder Society character within 1 level of the module’s beginning level (1st). This means existing PCs of 1st and 2nd level are legal for play without modification. This includes new Pathfinder-Society-legal PCs for whom this module will constitute their first mission.
  • A player may also create a 1st-level version of an existing Pathfinder Society character for use in the module.
  • Additionally, players may use any of the 1st-level pregenerated characters available for download at paizo.com/pathfinderSociety/pregeneratedCharacters.

Cult of the Ebon Destroyers

  • A player may use an existing Pathfinder Society character within 1 level of the module’s beginning level (8th). This means existing PCs of 7th, 8th, and 9th level are legal for play without modification.
  • A player may also create an 8th-level version of an existing Pathfinder Society character for use in the module. This character may have up to 33,000 gp in total wealth, with no single item worth more than 16,500 gp. Such a character is considered to have no Prestige Award.
  • Additionally, players may use any of the 7th-level pregenerated characters available for download at paizo.com/pathfinderSociety/pregeneratedCharacters.

I hope you enjoy these adventures!

Dang, can't make it on the 30th (got to help my future brother-in-law move house that day). I should be up for Winterfest though. And... Yep, they've got the scenarios you want Luke. :)

@ Al Rigg: Assuming you can make it for the August games day, I'll do everything in my power to orchestrate a high tier table for scenarios #26 Lost at the Bitter End and #32 Drow of the Darklands Pyramid.
At the end of the day though, it's up to the other players.

Player numbers can vary, but we currently had a Tier 1-2 table and a Tier 3-4 table. Both tables were full (6 on one, 7 on the other)

In case it matters, on Saturday both tables played #55: The Infernal Vault and #2-11: The Penumbral Accords.

I'm fairly interested in the Central game. Good Games happens to be the only gaming store within a reasonable distance. :P

I've got a group of four-or-so friends and am interested in finding some fellow Pathfinders in the St. George area...

Does the central game have room enough to trial a big group? What level would we start at? What other details would we need?

Presuming I can rope someone into it, I can maybe make next months game.

Pathfinders,

On Saturday August 27, we are continuing the Pathfinder Society "First Steps" introductory scenarios with Part II: "To Delve the Dungeon Deep", in which you venture into the massive haunted dungeons beneath an abandoned siege tower in the deadly Cairnlands. But fear not - if you missed Part I, let us know - if at least three players request it, we'll run a parallel session of "In Service to Lore" where, in your first mission as a Pathfinder agent, the head of the Grand Lodge sends you on a number of missions throughout the metropolis of Absalom, all in the pursuit of knowledge.

Please feel free to forward this invitation to your gaming groups and other contacts who you think will be interested in getting in touch. Similarly, if you'd rather be left off this mailing list, let me know and I'll take care of it.

Cheers,

Following this, it's been suggested that, as some people have played Parts I and II at Winterfest this past weekend, some people might like the opportunity to play Part III. Therefore, please let me know if you would like to play First Steps, Part III - A Vision of Betrayal on the 27th and we'll run it in parallel if we get at least three of you registered.

If you can make it, however, this month's session on the 27th would be the perfect date to start as you'll be able to play in the Pathfinder Society introductory game "First Steps, Part I: In Service to Lore", as we'll be running one table of it. #52: The City of Strangers—Part II: The Twofold Demise.
