Oh yeah, do I have to submit my character for approval before I'm good to play.

I'm kinda using a class from Ultimate Combat and some equips from the Advanced Player's book. [From the PFS online resources]

Hi Jed,

You don't have to send in your character for review beforehand but any Pathfinder Society GM can ask to review your character before a game to check it's legal. Can you confirm that it is a legal build in that you've followed the Guide to Organised Play in creating it and have confirmed that anything not in the Core Assumption is noted as legal for play in Additional Resources?

Four days to go until Ruby Phoenix! Not much movement from a week ago on registrations: 57 of the 66 tables are running so far.

The final batch of schedule changes have been updated in the registration system so head back to the Ruby Phoenix Warhorn site to check and update where desired. The main changes made this time were to convert tables that have failed to reach minimum numbers to "Players' Choice" sessions. Sign up to this session if there is nothing you can play in that slot, or if the only adventures you could play are sold out. If a Players' Choice table reaches at least three players, then your GM will be in touch to work out what to run. As always, if your registration was affected by any of the changes we’ve made, then we have tried to ensure that you remain registered in a new option at the same tier but go and check to ensure everything is OK.

Young Henrys are doing us proud with a fine spread of Golarion fare so, as they're providing us with the venue for free, make sure you bring plenty of gold coins to buy food and drink. Cash only, please (there are plenty of cashpoints along Enmore Road and King Street).

The venue will open at around 8am each morning, so make sure to turn up in good time for your first game and please bring correct cash payment for all your registered sessions on your first day. Each session is $2.

A reminder that Good Games have made a special offer to Ruby Phoenix attendees. If any of you would like to purchase any Pathfinder products, they will provide a 10% discount, and deliver them to Ruby Phoenix for you pick up when you arrive. To take advantage of this offer, email me with your order asap. Con delivery is, of course, limited to items in stock before Easter.

If you can't make it to Ruby Phoenix, but you can make it to an event in Canberra, then why not join the Ruby Phoenix Canberra Enclave! ANURPS are running Masks of the Living God, City of Golden Death, and the Quest for Perfection on the 6th and 7th of April. Register here to secure your seat.

And if you're heading to Eyecon, then there are still a few seats left in the Pathfinder Society games on offer there. Eyecon registration closes today so sign up on the day.

Four days to go. Get plenty of sleep!

Shadow Lodge

After looking through the boards I finally found the answer to my "Ninja1/Rogue1=2d6 Sneak attack" enquiry. Turns out, I can't multiclass to rogue.

On another not, I enjoyed Shadow Lodge in Burwood last week! I wanna play more and hope to take part in more PFS Organised Play events.

Grand Lodge 1/5

:) Try Ninja/ Vivisectionist Alchemist... Sneak attack does stack there but uses your total level as Sneak attack. It replaces bombs

With a discovery to make your bombs as smoke (you need 2 levels in Alchemist) if you dont want the Sneak attack bonus and want to enhance your bombs.

Thematically Alchemist Ninja works.

One thing about the Canberra Event. The website says it is Copland GO30 at ANU. Unfortunately on Friday wea re in JD 101, but Saturday we are back to Copland Building. If anyone is coming and gets lost you can contact me for directions.

Are there any Shadow Lodge events this month?

Sovereign Court 5/5 5/5 ****

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Sydney Shadow Lodge will be taking place, as per usual, on the 3rd Saturday of the month (in this case, the 21st), at Good Games in the City, arriving at 10:45 for an 11am start.

Modules have yet to be determined, so I am open to suggestions from players :-)

Shadow Lodge

YAAAAY!

Anything at least 3rd level is good for me!

Sovereign Court 5/5 5/5 ****

Well, there will be a low level table and a high level table, so there should be something you could play :-)

Dark Archive 3/5

I'd like to play Fury of the Fiend before ye 'ole Wizard moves out of Tier 7-11. :)

DO IT!!!

EDIT: I'm pretty sure that Wizards run D&D and Magic stuff at Supernova. Maybe a Beginner Box Bash or something?

I know Good Games has a stall every year

Recruiting newbies as we speak.

Shadow Lodge 4/5 5/55/5

Our second Shadow Lodge convention was a huge success! We had 60 players filling 375 seats over 64 sessions which, I'm fairly sure, makes Ruby Phoenix the largest Pathfinder gathering in the southern hemisphere to date! More info here.

Newbies always welcome at game days, JedMan. What times can you make, Shifty, and I'll see what I can do.

Hey Luke, I will definitely be there and be more than happy to run it for you :)

Hi all, a group of pathfinder newbies (some of us have played tabletop RPG's before others haven't) are looking for a GM for our Saturday night games at Penrith Tin Soldier. When talking to the guys in the store tonight we discovered that a Chapter of the Pathfinder Society is openning up in penrith tommorow. It was suggested that place a request on this site for a GM as we currently don't have one.

Any response would be fantastic.

Thanks for your time.

Sovereign Court 5/5 5/5 ****

Thanks Brendan. We will see what happens ;-)

Liberty's Edge

If you need another for 1st steps I've a Barb who's just done Master of the Fallen Fortress @ EYECON and is ready to go :D

What would you see us doing at Supanova, Jed?

Shadow Lodge

Well, it is the biggest convention in Sydney, and I've seen TCG tournaments as well as Dungeon runs take place in there. I just thought it would be a place for Pathfinder Society and Paizo exposure/expansion since Good Games also have a stall there each year.

As I mentioned above, perhaps a Beginner Box Bash for a quick intro?

Shadow Lodge 4/5 5/55/5

I've emailed them with an enquiry and we'll see what is required. We could do Beginner Box Bashes, yeah. There may be a few other options as well.

Hey Luke, I will definitely be there and be more than happy to run it for you :)

I have added-in a table of Part I of 'First Steps' - In Service to Lore, just in case we get extra players who would prefer to play the Intro module :-)

I think that I will be around to help out with that.

Man, King & Country has me missing the BBB again!

Totally wasn't in the brochure.

Shadow Lodge

How does Beginner box bash work?

4/5 5/55/55/55/5

It's essentially four 'scenes' or mini-scenarios that take about an hour each.

The idea is someone can sit down with one of the pregens in a group and bang out a short session to get a taster of the 'cut down' Beginner Box gameplay. Or they can play up to all four.

So think about it as a PFS scenario in minature, four times :P

Shadow Lodge

Um, does this mean that the 19th of May Game day will be in Penrith, not in Sydney?

The Exchange

There will be a game day in Sydney and a game day in Penrith.

Shadow Lodge

That's a relief.

Whoa, the Shadow Lodge's reach is quite wide. From Penrith to Wollongong.

We are the Shadow Lodge. Resistance is futile.

Got two (possibly three) friends coming tomorrow to do First Steps!

Whoever's GMing, please be patient. C:
