I relay this information to Brignat.
It appears we have lost Hurrac for good
You guys want to run 2 characters? Then you'd have a full 4 person party, and it would run pretty fast, not sure if you're up for double characters, I know I can recruit more, bump you to 4th level and let the new people come in at 3?

Totally up to you guys, either run a second once you rescue the other hobgobs, or we recruit others.

Brignat, brings up some valid points, I would vote for two charters each but I am going to be disappearing for 10 weeks (or more) Dec 14 for boot camp and getting ready for A-school. The only reason that I havent been checking the board everyday is because the game has slowed down so much. I would like to hop back in after my short break for boot camp though.
"We should take care of the two that are coming toward the crypt first, that way there is less to deal with outside once we go to save our new friends. Let us set up an ambush farther down the hall where the path splits. You can hide down one way and I the other. I will make noise to draw them toward me and you can attack them from behind while I attack them from the front. That way we can cut off their escape rout so they cant go back and warn their fellows."

I will head down the tunnel to the split and head the opposite direction as Brignat, once I get around the corner I will start calling out for help to draw the Warforged to my position. I have a readied action to attack the first warforged that comes around the corner.
"Ooooh, Brothers help me, I think I broke something, I cant move! Is anyone out there? I need help!"
I will have the scimitar with flame in my hand to attack with.

Go ahead and roll an attack roll,
Both of you roll hide checks as well plz.

Post monster ate my other post.
As the warforged advance on Brignat, Brignat draws back his bow and releases an arrow, impacting the 'forged in the chest. As the arrow impacts, Drexel slips out of the shadows, the scimitar flaring to life as it strikes the 'forged in the back dropping it, its back smoldering as its face impacts the stone floor.
"Brothers, we're under attack, Falcata is down!"
Drexel Morrow |
"Damnible Forged, I am tired of your false lives, creations of magick and trickery. Just DIE!" I attack the second Warforged
My character hates all magic except that which is beneficial to him
Attack 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6(+ whatever modifiers the sword has)
Damage 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3(+ flame damage?)
Well crap, crit fumble...
Drexel Morrow |
How many rounds would I guess until they are within Melee range? If I have the time I will sheathe my sword and start to pepper them with arrows as they approach. If not I will just try and attack
I believe we are currently standing at the far end of a 5ft wide corridor, correct me if I am wrong
"Brignat, do you want to stand in the forground with me shooting at them over your shoulder or would you like to be the one firing?"
Drexel Morrow |
In that case I will stand shoulder to shoulder with Brignat and ready an action to attack the first one that attempts to attack me. If both focus on Brignat then I will attack the one closest to me. I will also pull out the Kukri "Vicious" and attack with Two-weapon Fighting if my first strike fells an enemy then I will strike the second with my kukri.
"Come Brignat, let us destroy these abominations"
Attack 1d20 + 5 - 2 ⇒ (17) + 5 - 2 = 20(+ unknown sword modifiers)
Attack2 1d20 + 5 - 2 ⇒ (10) + 5 - 2 = 13(+ unknown Kukri modifiers)
Damage 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9(+ flame damage)
Damage2 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6(+ modifiers)

oops wrong avatar
The hobgoblins wait for the charge, then launch the attack as the warforged crash into them. Drexel cuts into the first dropping it as teh flames leap to life. Brignat, not quite used to the falchion, misjudges the distance to the warforged, swinging a second too early. The warforged crash into your line. They're all armed with bastard swords.

I slash at the warforged that steps up to take the fallen forges place.

Yeah, been a rough couple weeks, still trying to heal from that cold, trying to not get pneumonia, or bronchitis.
Brignat is hit for 4 pts, no crit, since he needed 20 to hit.
The warforged have a difficult time keeping up with the nimble hobgoblins in the dim lighting, Drexel cuts one of the 'forged down, shearing its head from its torso in a pair of swift strikes. Stepping in the way of Brignat though causing his weapon to skip off the shimmering mithral plated armor of the forged.
Feel free to add more detail to your descriptions.

After felling two of the opponents and watching Brignat fell his first I grin and step forward with a feral grin saying "Come metal men, let the greatest of the Goblins destroy you!" and procede to slash at the next warforged that stands in front of me.

These forged are clearly outmatched, Brignat's trades strikes with one of the forged, the impact of their weapons pushing each other away the weapons being stopped by the armors. Drexel's flaming blade is being watched warily by those facing him, though he lands a vicious strike with kukri.

I bare my teeth and strike at the same forged that I attacked last turn again.

The last warforged fall under the assault of the two hobgoblins. The two hobgoblins step from the tomb, the morning sun peaking over the mountains. You see the remaining warforged outside the tomb have been ridden down by a hobgoblin warparty. Haruuc, last of the hobgoblins, steps from the tomb shortly after the other two.
"Akesh Dhakaani!" The leader says, you immediately recognize her as the dirgesinger that started you on your journey.
You've returned to our lands heroes, though I see there are only three of you. I hope the others died a death fitting Dhakhaan, I assume you've recovered that which you were sent for?
Closing it up, final days before Drexel heads to the boot camp, then A-school.
Drexel Morrow |
"Akesh Dhakaani." I bow toward the dirgesinger "We ran into trouble here and there and yes a few died a warriors death. Songs will be sung of Hrusken for years to come I am sure."
I present the Kukri that I recovered from the Mournlands to her and say "Unfortunately we where only able to recover one of these two blades, we found a different blade that we where not even looking for in this elvish tomb however Brignat now holds it."
Kaega'ko - NPC |
"Excellent, come, we ride for home, a heroes feast awaits, the other kukri was found by your druid companion, he was guided, and had his own trials and tribulations to deal with, the gods are in our favor, Dhakhaan shal rise once more."
Two fresh Mage-bred steeds are brought forth and presented to you.
"Ride with me my young heroes, tell me of what you saw and did so I might tell the tales of your valor as well."
we can keep these final posts going for a couple days, or if Drex needs to cut it off, this can be the final post.
