Valtiro?

Female Human Fighter 1

I posted my readied attack in case the men in the cart threatened us; it's on the page preceeding this one. I'd like to know how my attack resolved, or if there is a reason I couldn't take my readied action. As far as Idiah is concerned a verbal threat is still a threat, but I'll abide by the DM's call if you disagree.

Ah. Idiah hits. Damage?

Female Human Fighter 1

The arrow pierces the slaver's robe, and the armour underneath! 6 points of damage.
"If you're going to shoot, shut up and shoot. Don't stand there talking," Idiah smirks.

raises crossbow prepared to fire.

Valtiro delays his action.

Let's set some directions. From the main party's perspective, the donkey cart is 50 to 60 feet to the east. Well off behind them is the castle.

(Kael and Brother Seamus know where they are!)

To the southwest, about 70 feet away, a voice calls out: "The next man or woman who raises a weapon or fires an arrow will be killed. Surrender now and enjoy a longer life." The voice is a husky male, clearly used to having his orders obeyed.

The short man, Malric, casts a spell. Arien and Alden slump to the ground. Priapus, please make a Will saving throw.

Idiah fires at the taller slaver. and strikes home. He gasps at the arrow sticking through his left shoulder, and his yellow robe is stained with a rapidly growing patch of crimson.

At which point, a bronze-tipped arrow comes flying out of the tall grasses to your south. It misses so badly it's difficult to tell just whom he as aiming at..

Brother Seamus moves to strike the man from behind, and misses.

Arien has passed out.

Merian casts bless, and draws her longsword.

Kael ...

Seamus and Kael's target ... (may be dead)

The tall, bald man smiles and nods to Malric. He removes a loaded crossbow from the wagon behind him and fires at Merian. He hits for 5 points. Merian, would you kindly make a Fortitude save?

Priapus ... (may be unconscious)

Aldan is indeed unconscious.

female human oracle of battle 4

Fort save (1d20+4=10)

Female Human Fighter 1

Idiah, slightly unnerved by her companions falling around her, knocks another arrow and aims at the short, bald spell-caster.

Male Human (Varisian) Monk 1

I leap into action, dashing towards the menacing slavers and throwing a punch at the spellcaster with all the momentum of my charge, slinging around with the followthrough to square up against the crossbow-wielder.

Attack roll assumes a charge: 1d20+5=14

OOC:

Spoiler:
Sorry about the delay, missed the game coming back. Do you need my actions for the second round as well or is it assumed I just skip the first round of combat as I size up the scene?

Female Human Fighter 1

When Idiah sees Valtiro leap into melee with the spellcaster, she re-aims her bow on the tall, bald slaver she just shot in the shoulder. There's no point risking the monk's health if she can't get a clean shot.

Kael changes target to the spell user.

Valtiro, we'll move you don in initiative to just above Kael. You hit the spellcaster. Roll damage, please.

Kael wrote:

All right. Roll an attack.

In that case, the man whom Kael was originally targeting, and whom Brother Seamus missed, turns to Kael, draws his broadsword and swings. Kael, the next thing you know, you're on your knees, reeling, looking up as the man grins at you. "That'll do, methinks."

There's pressure on the small of your back, and it feels hot there. He kicks you in the shoulder, dismissively, but you were going to pass out anyway. The last thing you see is him squaring off against Brother Seamus with his pick.

Priapus, by the sound of it, you struck meat of some kind.

Male Human (Varisian) Monk 1

I cry out in monastic fury at these imposters as my blow strikes home.

Damage Roll : 1d6=5

Fart! I don't have my book with me. I'll make my meager attack later tonite.

Female Human Fighter 1

Here is the attack and damage from my shot at the bald baddie: Both 6s.

M Gnome Bard/1st

Priapus reloads his Crossbow as he sings to his self.

M Gnome Bard/1st

Priapus looks left and right waiting for a target to appear.

female human oracle of battle 4

Me too. I'm very, very attached to this character...

Fair enough.

I'm away from my keyboard for the next three days, but let me see if I can redesign the Castle Whiterock experience. I appreciate Sharoth's enthusiasm for long-running campaigns, but I'd be looking to modify the adventure, to send you into something with a simpler and earlier sense of satisfaction.
