Any Love for Isger?

Sure .... Isgar is the Thrall of Cheliax. Damn that has to suck. But this blood soaked land is quickly becoming one of my favorite nations in all Golarion.

From the impossible alliance between Hellknights, Mercs and Eagle Knights, to its own Steward abandoning all but but Conerica Straits to the Goblin hordes of the Chitterwood, the nation is practically screaming for heroes to come to the rescue!

Has anyone done any work to flesh out this fantastic spot?

Nothing that I have seen.... but if you like it so much, perhaps you would be interested in creating a page for it on The Wiki?

Someone beat me in initiative!

But yes, it's an interesting nation and fans all over the internet would love to see your enthusiasm for the nation eternalized in a wiki article.

Yeah, Isger could really use a few heroes right now. I know I have plans to eventually include Vargar the Carcass-Maker and Deacon Jugular in my campaign.

There are more than a few location gems like Isgar in the setting. Its description may only be 2 pages, but it contains enough plot hooks for an entire adventure path.

hmmmmmm

Liberty's Edge

I've definitely been taken in by Isger. Partially because it's a fairly blank slate nestled between two of the most developed regions in the game. There's a lot of political material to be mined there.

It could be quite q wild card should things between Andoren and Cheliax heat up (such as following The Last Baron modules), or even if Isger decides it doesn't want to spend the rest of its existance in debt to Cheliax, Andoren, and Druuma.

Uhhhh. I'm seeing the name of the country spelled wrong in the thread title. So little love does Isger get that even its most ardent supporters can't get the spelling right, it seems. Alas, poor Isger.

Sovereign Court

Well in my new PF campaign the Hellknights still have some pull in Isger, as the Order of the Brand patrol the highways and byways of the Cornerica straits sentencing brigands and other anti-chelish troublemakers to years of hard labor in the prison mines of Citadel Redox under the Watchful eye of Lictor Ferrus Bane.

The only thing I can remember about Isger right now is the comment made in Pathfinder #8 under the Bestiary entry for the Daughter of Urgathoa about the "Wight Mother of Isger".

Hopefully with permission, I quote: Tentacled and monstrously beautiful, the unliving martyr Illcayna Alonnor has led the Pallid Princess's cult in Isger for more than a century. Having sacrificed herself to an uncontrolled legion of wights, the young priestess spontaneously resurrected and led the undead to consume the entire hamlet of Finder's Gulch -- including the living members of the cult of Urgathoa there. Today, the Wight Mother's almost entirely undead cult plagues western Isger, a mutated and magically altered legion of deathless minions following the direction of her massive clawed hand.

Sure sounds like western Isger has a problem they need some heroes to deal with.

Frog God Games

I ran a PFS Scenario this last weekend and the group included a guy unfamiliar with the Golarion setting. When I laid out the Inner Sea Region map at the start of the game he saw Isger and said, "Lager! Is that the Land of Beer?!"

I don't know if he has any love for Isger or not, but I do know he's a little bit illiterate.

It's a result of all the lost brain cells from too much pilsner.

It's getting bumped up to a full 4 pages in the new World Guide.

The battle cry of '4 pages' is the new 'two scoops of raisins' for PRPG.

That's okay, neither does he.

I am working on using my Current Campaign to probably set up the next one in Isger. The wind up will likely focus on the area where Isger and Andoran meet (setting up an upgunned version of Grey Citadel on the border). Next Campaign may deal with the issues inside Isger and fallout from however this one ends.

The Doom that came to Dustspawn takes place in the creepy backwoods of eastern Isger.

Isger adventures—only two, alas.

Great place for an adventurer to come from, though.

You'll be able to add Scourge of the Godclaw to this list this summer.

(un)fortunately, the party is only in Isger for a cup of coffee.

Well, digging up an old one here, but is Order of the Brand outlined in any other setting?
