I just want to thank the Pathfinder team for keeping D&D alive.
D&D4E is not a bad game, but its juvenile und WoC merciless dismissed all old school gamers. The D&D-Insider is another kick in the face.
I like the fluff quality of the books, the friendliness of the authors and the absence of arrogance (compared to the WoC-tyranny-of-fun and 4Ed-is- best-mindset).
Hopefully there will be some Pathfinder novels (the short stories dont make it for me).
And hopefully you will release more regional settings (like in the TSR Birthright setting).
Again with all kudos to Paizo, Pathfinder is far from the only active continuance of D20. There's TrueD20, and others as well holding the banner, as well as the continued availability of the SRD.
But the real thing that keeps D20 of any version alive.... is the players and GMs. Without them, they're all just dust on a shelf.
D&D 4e is a fine game and I play it from time to time, but it doesn't have the same feeling for me that previous editions of D&D, or the new Pathfinder materials have. Thanks Paizo for keeping the game I love alive.
Keep on the good work, Paizo crew - you've been most inspiring in the last year I've been following Pathfinder blog. But it's neither the rulebooks nor the gaming products that will "kill", "tyrannize" or keep my game "alive" - that's the sole province of DMs and players I game with. For better and worse, I'm far more dependent upon them for a good, fun game then any single gaming product I've seen in the last eight years or so. Neither Paizo nor WotC cannot change that.
Yep, totally agree with the OP. The Pathfinder RPG is what is needed to keep the game I love alive and with a needed facelift.
^this.
And...... Im so happy with how Golarion is turning out. Ive been looking for a non-screwed up (see FR), supported campaign setting for a long time now. Returning to Greyhawk for a short time was great, but Golarion is definately what I was looking for.
Tip of the hat and a grateful smile to the Pathfinder crew.
You can choose a ready guide in some celestial voice
If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice
You can choose from phantom fears and kindness that can kill
I will choose a path that's clear
I will choose freewill
You know wath ... I agree, but actually I had not so much against 4E, is a nice game but is not waht I expect for the next big P&P RPG, on the other hand, pathfinder takes the torch left by 3E nicely and take a solid step forward, intead of returning to a basic mini game with some role play elements...
the thing that really bothered me from 4E , are the WotC boards... one cannot even make a comment without being atacked ridiculized or something..., hell one tries to be objective and give a nice opinion and is atacked fro meveriwhere from those self proclaimed 4E defenders, who speak nonsense don`t want to listen and bend everithing you say or wathever ... it was enohg for me... sorry had to take that out of my chest...
moving to this boards to read more reasonable people ^^
I like both. As long as both 4E and PF are supported by their repsective companies I will be a happy man. I don't find either one better than the other.
I'm not one for thanking someone for making their living. It amuses me everytime I'm thanked for being a soldier. But I much prefer it to the alternative. So I thank Paizo with my hard earned dollars, buying their excellent product time and again.

A salute to Paizo quality!
I thank Paizo -- specifically Joshua J. Frost, Erik Mona, and Wesley Schneider -- for encouraging and training writers in the RPG field. You're ensuring a "quality" future.
