Juliare seems furious there :
'Who are you calling Points ! I'm not responsible for the way I was born ! "
Visibly taking hold of himself
" We should find two hiding places near the river. On to cut their retreat and one for the first attack . I can take point and .. " Juliare winces " that is to say be at the foreguard and be the first to give the signal to attack when the bandits near the water. now , which group do you want to be a part of ? "

Thrakhir chuckles. "I'll be tellin' ya what. Since yer takin' point," he smiles smugly, "I'll go where yer thinkin' it best."

Juliare seems furious there :

Kirwen shrugs. "Ain't none of us are, but it's part o' who y'are, all the same. Best get used to it, find a way to make it your own."

"I'll need a moment to get dressed fer the party," Kirwen rumbles, "so best if I'm taking the second group."

I'll guess I stick close to Clark since be both are in medium armor and hence have a greater chance of fail hideing. No need to ruin it for both teams.
Juliare |
"So Thrakhir , Felicia and me in the first group and the others in reserve . "
If all aggree , Juliare will try ti find an hiding place for the two groups .
The first group will be hidden near the river and able to see the path . The second group would be hidden near the path but won't be able to see the path .
Tom , what do we need to roll ?
Juliare |
Juliare will wait for them to be near the water and att 23 damage 7
Felicia Leadium |
Thrakhir Flyingaxe |
Thrakhir hurls an axe at the man still standing.
Attack/damage (1d20+5=20, 1d6+2=5, 1d6=4), so that would be 5 damage, 9 damage if I get the sneak attack.
Black Tom |
Thrakhir's axe strikes the second man's jugular and he goes down in a spurt of blood. All is quiet for a moment.
What now? I'm assuming that you'll be looting the bodies, but I'm posting from work at the moment. They don't carry anything out of the ordinary.
Petra Pasmal |
Yep ! PETRA !!!
Let's see if anyone is still alive.
here's the heal check to to see if anyone is alive 1d20+7=26now she knows if anyone is alive. If one of them is she casts Stabilize
Do you want me to heal him? Then first tie him up.
if the group want Petra to heal him, here is the CLW
Black Tom |
You fish the men out of the water, and Petra ascertains that they are both alive - for now. As she proceeds to heal the least wounded one (the one Juliare hit) after first tying him up, he sputters some and then comes back to life.
What do you want to ask him?
Thrakhir Flyingaxe |
Yeah, sure. I assumed that the noise would attract them.
Shoot, what noise? We are a stealthy bunch! ;)
Thrakhir returns to the spot where the rest of the group took up positions. "We got 'em, ya can be comin' down to the river now," he says to any that have remained in their positions.
Thrakhir Flyingaxe |
In an effort to move this along...
Hearing Kirwen's suggestion, Thrakhir slings the body of the bandit over his shoulder. "Throw that un into the river and let's get movin'." He then proceeds to carry the man several hundred feet away from the bandit camp.
Throwin' him down unceremoniously to the ground, he speaks to the bandit. "Listen, ya buzzard, we're not havin' any times fer games. I'd be tellin' us about the lay of the bandit camp or yer gonna be feedin' the fish like yer friend," he growls.
Intimidate check (1d20-1=10). Hopefully taking out his friend will help me out with this roll. ;)
Clark Freeman |
Petra Pasmal |
Petra to Juliare and the rest of the group.
- Juliare can't we try to backtrack this bandits track or the other back to their camp? We can all try to find his or the other man's foot prints and then you track them back to their camp.
....to the prisoner. Hm, we now no longer need you. Petra brings out the famous head Here is a man, who much like you,. lived and died with no respect of life and with no decency. Repent and change your evil ways.
Felicia Leadium |
Since threatening the man doesn't seem to be working Felicia decides to go for a different approach. Walking over to become eye level with him and begins to talk him as if they were simply speaking over drinks at the Inn.
"Look despite what the others have said we really don't want to hurt you After all if we really wanted that we could have just dragged you off and left you somewhere to bleed to death. Of course your 'friends' up at the bandit camp are probably not going to be to happy if they come down here and find him" Indicates the other body "dead and you alive and bound. there probably just going to conclude that you spoke to us anyway and kill you for being a rat. Of course if you were to actually to tell us something and it is proven to be true I'm sure the others would be willing to let you go. So what do'ya say?"
Diplomacy check
Black Tom |
Thanks, Felicia. One hero point for getting us back on track.
The man looks at Felicia, and then his expression softens.
"Look, I don't need this. I've had enough of sleeping on the ground and listening to Fell bragging, and all for nothing. He promised us that we would steal from the rich and give to the poor, but in the end we just ended up like some dirty highway robbers. That's not what I came here for."
"If you just let me go, I promise that I'll never bother you again. There are eleven men in that camp, including Fell and his goons Garland and Grump. Garland is a spellcaster so you might want to be careful with him, and Fell has some dirty tricks up his sleeve. The rest of us are just ordinary people like me."
"I'm sure you'll kill them all and I'm not so sure I care anymore."

Indeed - thank you, Felicia.
Clark gets down on one knee by the man. "Sounds like you've fallen in with a bad sort. Tell me, what's this 'Fell' look like? Garland? Do you think the others would fight if the leader was defeated? Are their tents set aside or is there some other way we can tell which ones belong to them?" He looks up at his companions after a long look toward the earlier ambush. "I'm loathe to kill more than we have to. If we can remove the threat by beheading the snake, I'm in favor of it."
I don't think Clark's got enough experience to ask - can someone investigate what sort of spells Garland prefers so we can prepare agaisnt them? Maybe whether he's a bookmage or a bloodmage would help, too.
Black Tom |
The man snorts when asked about Fell. "Oh, you can't miss him. He's a short blond guy with a sorry excuse for a beard. You know, Fell and his chums have taken the best tents, the large ones near the campfire. The rest of us have to make do with tarps and lean-tos. Garland is the kind of bastard that fills a man's heart with lies. His magic isn't just spells, you know."
Petra Pasmal |
Clark Freeman wrote:"I'm loathe to kill more than we have to. If we can remove the threat by beheading the snake, I'm in favor of it.""Works for me will make a better story as well I should think."
Agree. Killing should be avoided.
To to the prisoner:You have decided to change and start a new life. Good. here's 9 gold so you get by.
It's time for me to put some faith in people, so today I part with my this, Petra cast away the head.
Black Tom |
Are you going to release your prisoner?
It won't get dark for another few hours and the two men are sure to be missed, so maybe you should put together a plan for how to approach the camp. The description of the tents matches what Juliare has seen, so you know where they are (right in the middle of the camp).
