Love the map. One hero point to Thrakhir.

On an unrelated note, I know that this way of handling surprise doesn't make much sense (the bad guys in sight shouldn't get an action), but neither to the surprise rules. Let's say that they had readied an action to advance if that makes you feel better (it shouldn't). Just humor me.

Just a question . why the rogue in front of the group on a road ?

I can think of one reason, slowest move. Leading allows him to move into battle quicker.

That plus having the second-best Perception modifier in the group. Honestly, I'd've put Juliare up in the front the whole time, but you said you wanted to be in the back while on the road, so I went with the rogue upfront instead.

I see both your points .
Personnally I would have put Brock then him since Brock won't also move very fast with his brestplate and would be first to take the hurt of any attacks but it's good either way

For information , while we'll be in the forest , Juliare won't be at the point but 10-12 meters ahead in order to scout a minimum .

"meters". You're from europe to?

Perhaps it might be dangerous to let Juliare get to far ahead of the group. If trouble aroses Juliare could be left on his own due to the group being unaware of his situation.
Perhaps, one scout and one tank ahaed (so tank can charge).

Guilty as charged ( French in fact so English is not my native language)

That's all depend , with my stealth , I think I stand a good luck of coming upon enemies unaware . Obviously a tank in medium and heavy armor would not be stealthy

I resemble that remark. And there are at least three of us slower characters due to armor. Just sayin'.

You stealth at half move. So is it plausible that a rogue or a ranger will stealth all the time? Just a thought.

One of the many, many reasons why the Fast Stealth rogue talent is so gosh darn useful...

I don't know whether you have noticed but these guys are: a despicable half-elf, a sadistic halfling, a priest obsessed with death and a human ugly enough to pass for half-orc. With the zombie Thorak they are the veritable Linear Guild of the original Agents of Orange.

Hey, that's pretty cool, BT! I like. You get a hero point. ;)

Thats actually really freaking cool BT! Nice!

Oooh, my first one. I'll need that when Zark comes over to kick my butt. ;)

Note that I didn't have to change the bad guys one whit. They are written exactly like that.

Awesome!

Re: Loot following the road ambush

I would be interested in the masterwork longsword for Clark.

Fine by me.

I liked the "it appears that Petra will be providing some "negative energy" on the cleric's behalf." Great fun :-)

Cool with me bro and you two are making a nice little drama I like it, Brock would have step in and said something mildly useless and then laughed as is the way Brock does things but he's to busy fighting the air in my rage at the moment

Keep the longsword, AinvarG.

I'm just glad that Thrakhir showed some usefulness after his horrendous rolls in the rat warren.

Hehe, I was hoping someone would enjoy that. I find it ironic that Petra was excluding him from her healing bursts -- she would have been harming him if she hadn't...

Haun wrote:

Too perfect, man. Brock's a lot of fun.

WorsT wrote:

Oh, man. I was pretty sure Clark was going to continue rolling sub-5's all day -- If Petra hadn't scared off the zombie, one more shot like that would have killed Clark.

I just want to add to what AinvarG said. This group is a lot of fun to play, especially with the much different dynamic than the other group has got. It'll be interesting to see how this group gels together.

Brock is great! Petra is also very intriguing. I am not surprised at all to see her glad at the death of the cleric of the moon after what she must have gone through as a slave. The exchange between her and Clark was nice considering they were held together in the temple.

Good stuff!

Let me tell you, Clark's awakening as a paladin, his fondness for Petra as a fellow survivor, and her attitude have him in a definite state of confusion right now.

Your post as Brock are some of the most fun. That's what I really miss at our tabletop game. The roleplaying aspect, so this is wonderful.

Great roleplaying. I think Petra to is in a state of confusion, although I'm not sure she's aware of that. We'll see what happenes to Clark & Petra

Yes, She's not on friendly terms with any of their followers. While in captivity she has perhaps been exposed to things Clark hasn't. Thrakhir/WorsT made things hard for Petra with the "are ya killin' him without knowin' what he's got to say" remark. I'm not sure what Petra would have done. I suspect she would have killed him and let the others "talk" to the hafling, but I'm not sure. Thrakhir crit made things eazy. LOL

Thanks for the complements on Brock, you guys are all doing so well, this game is a heck of alot of fun. I love playin the big dummy!

Sorry I'm late posting the channeling. Paizo was down this morning and I just got back from work.
Can you all post how hurt or healed everyone is? I think all of you are fine now except Brock who has 21 HP is that right?
Anyway. Petra got lucky on the roll. 5 HP was nice. :-)

Nice roll, indeed. Clark is fully healed and ready for another hit from that greataxe - not that he's really eager for it, you understand.

Brock has 17 of 28 hit points.

Clark , are you sure having a bloodthirsty chaotic girlfriend is good for your paladinhood ?

'Love is an epic level encounter'

Note that Clark is a paladin of freedom, so the chaotic part is fine. The bloodthirsty part is another matter, though.

By the way, since there are no gods, paladins and clerics have a lot of leeway. That means that you don't get a lot of advance warning before you find yourself turning into a monster or some other nasty consequences. I never understood how paladins could be tempted into evil if any transgression would make them lose their powers. That's a pretty obvious clue that something is wrong, isn't it?

That said, let's see how this epic level encounter turns out. :o)

Our last assignment I don't know how many of you have seen this so check this out:

Jason Bulmahn wrote:

Hello everyone,

I have one last assignment for all of you fanatical playtesters out there. In this thread, I would like to hear the ONE thing that you would change in the rules if you had the power to do so. Since I want to keep this thread nice and orderly.. here are the rules.

1. You can only post to this thread ONCE. If you post a second time, I will delete your post. This includes sock puppets.

2. Only ONE idea in a post. If you want to change channel energy, that is your one idea. Do not add domains to the pot as well. This means that if you want to talk about a class, you should probably limit it to one aspect about the class.

3. Don't bother commenting on someone else's post. I want to hear your idea.

4. Reread rule #1

5. I would like for all of the playtesters to post to this thread once with their idea. This is both an informal poll and a simple census of the current number of active playtesters.

6. EDIT: Please do not start any new threads to talk about specific ideas in this thread. Lets let folks post without having to worry about other comments and feedback. Just ideas... that is all I want.

Thanks for participating in this thread.

The thread can be found [url=http://paizo.com/paizo/messageboards/paizoPublishing/pathfinder/pathfinderRPG/design/comments/ifYouCouldChangeOneThing&page=1[/url]. Me and Shisumo allready posted I hope all of us post. I'm sorry to say I didn't notice the "This is both an informal poll and a simple census of the current number of active playtesters" the first time I read. Had I done so I would posted somthing else, but there you go.

M Half-orc (PF), Orc (Earthdawn) swashbuckler? (PF) Swordmaster (Earthdawn)

Sorry about my last messy post, I couldn't edit it because Paizo's page went down. Anyway.
The thread can be found here.
As I said before. Hope the rest of you post, since it's "an informal poll.

M Half-orc (PF), Orc (Earthdawn) swashbuckler? (PF) Swordmaster (Earthdawn)

Does anyone know where I can find the post/thread on trapfining becoming a class feature to all classes? As I heard it's not 100% certain but it's more or less decided that it will happen. Anyone know?

M Half-orc (PF), Orc (Earthdawn) swashbuckler? (PF) Swordmaster (Earthdawn)

Ah found it. In case anyone likes to check it out, the thread can be found here.
Won't be posting anymore today. I'm of to see AC/DC this evening and will probably go to a bar with my friends after the show. So no more posts from me this day (Posting while drunk is no way to go. Don't drink and drive, don't drink and post, don't post and drive).

Sorry Zark just saw all your posts right now... How fun at the Concert!

Hey would anyone be okay with me chopping the halflings leg off I dont care which one just would anyone think that a little extreme?

Haun wrote:

Thrakhir wouldn't care, but his moral compass doesn't exactly point north.

Yeah, Zark, I saw AC/DC a few years ago in concert and it was pretty good. They can definately still rock.

Haun wrote:

Yeah, Clark would have a problem with that. Not sure how he would react to it at this point.

uhh I mean Clark wouldnt like try to fight me over it? eh?

At a guess, if he realized what you were doing, he would try to prevent you from doing it. If you succeeded... that part I don't know.

Welcome Kevin Mack / Felicia Leadium.

I loved your post:

And it's nice to make your acquaintance (hope I got the english right).

Dang it. Grappled by a flying monkey. Where are we, anyway? Oz? Anybody bring a bucket of water? I've seen how this ends...

Seriously, can someone educate me regarding my options while grappled? I never got the hang of the old rules, but I understand these are significantly different. (Everyone keeps complaining that you can't use combat maneuvers at low levels - don't tell that to these airborne apes. Sheesh.)

CMB or Escape Artist check to escape.

Attack roll at -2.

In your context, that's pretty much it.
