Muchorak "Windstriker" |
DM Wellard,
How do you want to work the animal companion? I was thinking of sometime after we leave this compound and return to Sandpoint Muchorak would go out like before (with Ali) and do a similar ritual asking the spirits to bless him with his totem (insert animal companion here).
What do you think?

They dropped it to 5+CMD to move through an opponents' square? Wow they did.
Wasn't it BAB+15 in beta?
( First level -- Against a plain vanilla medium warrior CMD = 10 +1 BAB +1 str +0 dex = 12. A first level rogue with +4 skill, +2 dex can tumble by on a 11? They succeed 50% of the time? Of course most other classes don't take acrobatics. )

Nice feat Thom!
Ali's leveled up. She gets Mobility in her wolf form now and attacks are magic for beating DR along with the +1 attendant bonus'. Sweet.
Totally forgot about her Big Game Hunter feat during the fight against the Bugbear though, -_-
Wellard, depending on how things go with winning over the fighter (and maybe the dog?? ;-) to our side, I was thinking of trying out Ali's Summon Animals ability for the first time. Any thoughts or feelings on the matter?
EDIT: actually strike that, reading over it I had forgotten I'd said it takes a minimum of 1 minute to call any animals.

Hey Wellard, if it's not too late to change, I had wanted to put a skill point to Ali's Acrobatics, but I was still thinking in 3.5 way that not being a class skill, she would need 2 ranks to get 1.
Having re-read the Pathfinder rules I realize that I can add just one rank but she just doesn't get the +3 bonus for class skill.
I had put an extra rank to sense motive, which i didn't feel was necessary or important really so can I go ahead and put that rank to acrobatics instead?

Ok here we are ressurecting this thread from archival limbo.
Kevin the point buy for this is 25..yes I know it's high but this AP really needs it.
Full 5th level cash. Don't worry the rest off you rewards are coming your way
One Trait from the RotRL players Guide and one from any other source...same goes for the rest off you...but..no rich parents ok.

Kevin, welcome aboard. That has got to be the shortest recruiting drive ever.
Wellard, I'll echo Bill -- thanks for DMing this game. It's been great fun so far and I look forward to see what you bring next.
Might as well keep going, Bill, Azoun, Khaladon, Set. I'm very happy and proud to be playing with you all. This has been a really good group.
And apologies right now for what may happen back in town.

Inikai is updated. I will leave some notes for Wellard on Inikai's plans for downtime.
Inikai is worried that Marak will see him as a heretic if he finds out the source of Inikai's powers. He is less concerned about Muchorak's reaction and not worried about Ali or Romon. To this end he looks into what caravans or ships will be leaving Sandpoint soon. I don't plan to have Inikai leave but this is what I see him making plans for.
Inikai will disguise himself with the power of Naberious and buy masks, unremarkable clothing and a disguise kit. He will seek out merchants who will be leaving town soon. He also intends to visit the proprietor of the theater for some disguise lessons. Inkai will claim that this is for the purpose of scaring goblins in the future.
At a later time he will bind with Malphas in order to Invisibly scout the town for possible enemies. He still believes that there are traitorous elements who collaborated with Tsuto.

Had a look at the rise of the runelord players guide and couldent really see a trait that fitted the character so I was wondering if I could use this one from the advanced players guide/
Outlander
You are not from Sandpoint; you’ve recently come from
somewhere else and are hoping to make your fortune
here. Pick one of the following reasons to be a newcomer
to Sandpoint.
Lore Seeker: The secrets of the ancient fallen
civilization of Thassilon intrigue you, particularly the
magical traditions of its highly mystical culture. You’ve
studied magic intensely, and hope to increase that
knowledge by adding Thassilonian lore. You’ve come
to Varisia to pursue that study, and chose Sandpoint
as your base because it was out of the way of bigger
cities—meaning less competition to study the ancient
monuments in the region, you hope! You gain a +1 trait
bonus on Knowledge (arcana) checks, and Knowledge
(arcana) is a class skill for you. If you cast arcane spells,
pick three spells on your spell list. You are particularly
adept at casting these spells, so they function at +1 caster
level when you cast them, and their save DCs (if any) gain
a +1 bonus.
I would assume it would only apply to spells that I had at first lvl so would be at most 2 1'lvl spells and 1 0'lvl or a combination thereof.

I think we should include Shalelu and Kali when we divide the loot, at least for the coins. They did contribute to our success up until the point at which they were overcome by fear magic. It seems to me that this is how the group would do it if they were real people. I am interested in how the others feel, though.

Levelled Romon up. 11 skill points, dodge feat. 6 new hp.
Wellard I still have 6 racial hitpoints on his sheet. Is that correct or did we dump the racial hp when we moved to Pathfinder from beta?
Romon held on to some of the loot personally. Ripnugget's gold crown and keys. Kallie's shocking grasp wand. (28 charges) Shalelu's longbow.
The crown he'll put in the group kitty. The keys he keeps as a souvenir. In town he'll look up the girls to return their stuff.

So I was thinking of Craft Wondrous Item for Marak's next feat, so what sort of wondrous items should we be looking at?
Healing Belts, for those who don't already have them, perhaps? (500 gp to craft)
He'll be able to craft Belts of Giant's Strength +2 or Mighty Constitution +2, Headbands of Alluring Charisma +2 or Inspired Wisdom +2 as well (or Physical Might - Str + Con, or Mental Prowess - Wis + Cha). A +2 belt or headband is 2000 gp to craft, and one that gives +2 to Str+Con or Wis+Cha is 5000 gp to craft. (He'd need another caster present to be able to craft an item with +2 Dex or +2 Int, to cast Cat's Grace or Fox's Cunning.)
Cloaks of Resistance +1, also an option. 500 gp. to craft. Won't be able to make +2 cloaks until sixth level.
Pearls of Power (1st - 3rd level), 500 gp, 2000 gp or 4500 gp.
Others; Bottle of Air, Candle of Truth, Circlet of Persuasion, Minor Circlet of Blasting, Cube of Frost Resistance, Elixir of Truth, Gem of Brightness, Goggles of Night, Helm of Comprehending Languages and Reading Magic, Helm of Underwater Action, Horn of Fog, Horn of Goodness/Evil, Lantern of Revealing, Medallion of Thought, Periapt of Health, Phylactery of Faithfulness, Robe of Bones (naughty!), Silversheen, Sovereign Glue, Stone of Good Luck, Necklace of Prayer Beads (bless, healing), Sustaining Spoon, Unguent of Timelessness
I had a whacky notion of collecting more Varisian Tattoos, instead, but since each tattoo costs two feats, that's not gonna happen. :)

Dude +2 double stats! That rocks! It just costs money?
Yup. 250% of the price of the single-stat item, I think. There's also triple stat items, but Clerics don't get Cat's Grace or Fox's Cunning, so Marak couldn't make one of those alone, and I don't think any of us could afford one, even at crafting cost...

And added traits -- CIty-born magnimar and Canter.
And what about those hit points?
therealthom |
OK. I dumped the racial hit points.
DM only:
Once the party gets back to Sandpoint, Romon's first order of business is a bath, a meal -- little alcohol -- and an early night. The next day he'll rent a horse and high-tail it back to the ex-goblin stronghold. Then it's back to the crypt where we killed the shadows to check out the sarcophagi. I'm willing to play as much as required.
Second, provided he survives that jaunt, Romon wants to practice climbing the new temple in Sandpoint at night, just an hour or two. The eventual plan is to bet Muchorak that he can climb faster up one of the walls. Romon wants it learn the routes to get an edge. (I'll wager you that Muchorak won't go for it.
Chaotic neutral -- source of fun.
