@Azoun: I'll just add a wee little bit to tie it up and I'm good with ending it there.
As for a Muchorak/Ali coupling? Hmmm, I'm honestly not sure. Ali would never refuse any advance on her by Big Bear, for besides her great affection for him (she does not really consider or is even consciously aware of the concept of 'attraction') she would simply feel it is his right as pack leader to have her whenever he chooses. She's never experienced mating yet, so might be a bit shy and awkward, but at the same time, she's very curious and would likely be a very eager participant. Especially once she was taught the much more interesting and involved ways of two-leg mating. (At this point in her life though I think her witnessing Esteriande's and Romon's exchange might make her poor little head explode. Either that or she would completely misinterpret or have no idea what it is they're doing.)
On the other hand, at this point it's very unlikely she would ever make the first move on Big Bear. So if he never does and she never does....?
I feel no particular need to RP all that out, but at the same time I'm not opposed to it. Let's just see what They decide to do maybe?

Wellard, how'd you get this thread hooked to the new game thread?
I Assume your asking for setting up part 3 of our other campaigns..
When you start a new campaign and click on the discussion tab it offers you a list of your threads in the OOC board..just choose the correct one and hey presto the thread links to multiple gameplay threads..and tells you that it does too..

Ali's thoughts about flying and brother Lunas being unable to enjoy it with her makes me wonder if the PF changes to polymorph/wild shape have toned it down sufficiently that a feat that allows a druid to share the effects of wild shape with her animal companion would be no longer considered overpowered. It would be neat, at least from a role-playing perspective, if a druid could share whatever new worlds of sensation they are discovering with their furry buddy, and useful for many out of combat situations if they could grant their companion a swim, climb or fly speed to get into and out of adventure sites thta aren't 'quadruped-friendly,' like up or down ladders or cliff-faces or whatever.

What embarrassing rashes? Esteriande is immune to disease so any Romon has, he brought along with him...
Bearing in mind we each have an extra 1000gp each, is there anything that anyone wants or needs before we depart? Clubbing together is feasible, if it's more expensive than anyone can afford. I am thinking some more giant-bane arrows would be handy things...

Forgot to reply to this Set. Great idea, Was thinking to 'de-power' it a bit, perhaps limited to only one form for the companion, with more forms added as the druid levels?

Yes, 300 gp for a 7th level character is a low-ball offer.
Never mind that now. I wonder what we will encounter on this wilderness adventure? Romon is going to love this.
Romon |
Sleeping Bag of Infinite Bedbugs and Embarassing-to-Explain Rashes? Oh, he'll get right on that. :)
Hey! I'm the funny one here necro-boy! That's enough from you! :-)
Romon may end up liking travel quite well. After a while.

Hey, what happened to my post about the delights of Gettysburg? Most of the Union side battlefield is walkable, if you like to hoof it. The new visitor center is very nice. If you walk from the northern end of the Union lines down into town, there's a restaurant that serves period food. It's pretty good, but pricey if you're bringing the family.

I was there 30+ years ago and am really looking forward to going back. Naturally, the forecast for Saturday is for rain.
What is the period food like? I am interested in trying it but there are many things that my wife can't eat.

I wish I could make it to Gettysburg but until the money goes in the bank in 3 years its just a wish..would have loved to have made the 150th Anniversary next year though.
Gettysburg and Antietam are the only major Army of Northern Virgina battlefields I have not walked
I will make it to Gettysburg this Spring. We are also considering visiting some battlefields in Virginia in the summer. I never imagined that my wife would have any interest in this. It is nice to be surprised sometimes.
I have a friend who lived in Virginia as a pre-teen. His take on the entire war is a bit interesting at times.

You know, it is kinda weird how Romon seems to so often end up at or around the bottom of the init order...
...
I've noticed that myself. I think Wellard is arbitrarily lowering his initiative so that Romon doesn't end the encounter before before you all can go.
As if.
He's fun to play, even if he's not a combat monster. And I actually kind of like the whole, I don't have to bother even drawing a weapon because that enemy is dead already vibe. You guys are lethal.
Bill Lumberg |
He's gotten rolls at some good times. He stepped passably into the front line the one time Muchorak got hurt. I'm glad you guys are tolerant of his out of combat shananigans.
I love the way you play Romon. I think of this whenever I see a thread that damns rogues for being under-powered. It seems that the people who feel this way are missing out on half of the fun of this game.
