Wow, sorry about yesterday Mac. Who would have thought that the Lions could score 27 points and still lose the game?

*sigh* Tell me about it. All over the radio on Monday, the various hosts were saying Stafford's a bust. The dude played 1 GAME. With a crappy at best O-Line. Makes me sick.

Come on 4-12!!!!

How long is McNabb out? They can play Vick by the time they get to most of their conference games if I remember correctly.

According to what I've heard, McNabb is playing on Sunday.

Weird, I think the last time I got to watch the Saints play on TV, they were playing Philly.

I've heard that too but cracked ribs are no joke so if he doesn't perform well, they'll probably pull him out very quickly in favor of Garcia. Plus it's football, how do you not further aggravate an injury like that playing the game?

Tape, chest guard, good offensive line.

If it were Stafford with cracked ribs, he wouldn't last more than two plays. :)

27 points is like starting 30 in the hole if your "d" sucks.

Stafford will be fine, he plays for a craptastic team owned by craptastic owners. He'll be a free agent in five years, so if he lives that long, he may do well somewhere else...

Another mediocre year to look forward to from the Raiders. Although with all the crazy stuff going on in Denver and San Diego, they might be able to sneak into the playoffs. And get destroyed.

Sad part is, if they were smart and kept Garcia, they win that game by ten.

Raiders "d" looked good, the receivers were getting open, JaMarcus Russel is a bum. That'll be the story of their season.

Heyward-Bey (another great Al Davis pick) looked pretty bad for a first-round pick. Maybe he'll figure things out as the season progresses. I totally agree about JaMarcus Russell. Supposedly, the story with Garcia being let go was so Russell wouldn't worry about his job. If that is true, WTF? He should be concerned about his job--it might make him, I don't know, try to play better and learn the playbook. Grr.

Learning the playbook has nothing to do with knowing how to set your feet to throw. His fundamentals are poor, his throws are garbage, and he has tunnel vision.

He just doesn't have what it takes. But Al likes that he can throw it 60 yards flat-footed...

I'm just saying if he can't be bothered to learn the playbook, there's no way he's going to bother to work on the fundamentals.

At any rate, when Al still doesn't get his Super Bowl team in the next two seasons, Russell will be out of the NFL.

Yep. However, his strong arm will probably give him a good career in the CFL.

I think the Lions will surprise people this weekend. They're still going to lose, unfortunately, but it's going to be by 10 points or less.

As long as AP has a good day for my fantasy football team, I'd like to see Lions win.

That was amazing. Going from arguably last year's worst FCS team to beating a BCS title contender. I was happy to see that.

Meh, I'm just happy that USC lost. I've always considered them to be one of the most overrated teams in all of college football.

Eh. I can't say too much--my alma mater, "the (ahem) U", was highly overrated during the early part of the decade. They actually seem to have a good team this year. (I'll probably eat those words after they lose to Virginia Tech and Oklahoma)

Well, it just means the Pac-One is the Pac-None this year :)

And today, the Saints play the Eagles. No offense to any Philly fans, but I hope the Saints whip the snot out of them. Not that I'm a big Saints fan - they've disappointed to often over the years. Still, if the Eagles lose, I get to see many of my co-workers be miserable tomorrow.

Nah, Romo is ensuring I have zero chance of catching up.

Congrats :)

Well, my lions are 0-19; havent won a game since 12-23-06 and that was against the KC Cheifs; the losing street was started by Green Bay. But that aside; my boys are looking a lot better this year; moving the ball; vast amounts of improvement; they just need to stop making so many mistakes and learn to finish a drive with a score; used to watch a lot of 3 and punt; now get to watch a nice drive then a turn over; sigh. We will get there....

Our rookie QB is doing pretty good two; just needs to work on not throwing intereceptable passes as he had two yesterday that killed us.

49ers are 2-0 in the regular season. Someone pinch me, because I'm sure I'm dreaming.

I really like Romo. At least, I liked him until they forced him to stand in the pocket. But honestly, he gave that game to the Giants. I still love ya, Tony, but gah!

1) (*(*8&^_#&@$*(%@*&@# Lions....They were playing football in the first half, then decided to switch to Cricket or something for the second.

2) Heh...the Cowboys lost in their brand new shiny stadium.

But more importantly....

3) THE PATRIOTS LOST TO THE JETS!!!!!! MWHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! My Monday RULED!!!!

RPG Superstar 2012

Well, my alma mater played pretty much to my expectations. I don't know what morons thought a team that was unranked before the beginning of the season was good enough to be #9 after only two games.

If Iowa beats Penn State as it looks like they will, they can have Miami's #9 ranking. :)

Liberty's Edge

That may be reserved for U of Houston, after they beat two Big 12 teams that were ranked before the season started.

Ann Richards. Loved her, she was cool, but when she made the Big 12 take suck ass Baylor instead of U of Houston or TCU (she was a Baylor alum), she damaged the conference for EVER...

I keep saying that the Redskins are going to break the streak. Too bad I won't be able to watch that game.

Go Saints!

Well; KC is favored by 6 1/2 points; but if the Lions are looking for a win; this might be the one. The worst ever in football for consecutive losses was Tampa Bay at 26; so; yikes! But the Lions have the worst record in the history of football for any 8 year period; consider that only one guy from the 2002 to 2006 season draft is still playing for the team; as compared to other teams; that is attrocious. Bad luck? who knows. I would sure like to see my Lions beat up our division rivals; but at this point; the team really needs a win to build their confidence. I sure wish I could take my buddy Balfic to watch them whip the Steelers in mid October; but, that is very much improbable. (As I work Sundays, lol, and live in New Mexico)

Valegrim wrote:

Lol. Its not just your schedule and location that make the above scenario improbable.

hehe; yeah; its the cost of plane tickets and hotels and like that; cause I am gonna laugh for weeks if my some miracle the Lions beat the Steelers. hey, might as well dream big heh

Balfic is a big time Steelers fan; but is the only one I know who doesnt talk any smack about his team being the best and having an awesome club record.

A good friend and co-worker of mine is a big Steelers fan and is always pointing out flaws with the Steelers. He is still amazed they won the Super Bowl last year.

Both the Niners and my fantasy team lost yesterday. It is a sad, sad day.

I seem to recall a certain Texas based team winning the Super Bowl two years after going 1-15. One can hope, right? Plus it was a divisional rival for my team of choice they put down. Bonus.
