Fake Healer |
Alright now. I am loving all the artwork in this thread. I hope some one will take some of my characters and place them to paper.
Dravite Schorl-Is here along with backstory.
Terin 'The Beast' Talonshift-Is here along with backstory.
Podak 'Stonerider' Ogolangnathi- Goliath Druid/Beastmaster with a War-rhino animal companion. The Rhino-'Slim' was a found by Stonerider in a half-starved and diseased state and nursed back to health by him. He is a Tough creature who has seen his share of battle. He wears forest green magical studded leather barding, a mwk exotic military saddle, saddlebags and a +1 adamantine horn cover. Stonerider wears no armor except for a protective ring and a natural armor amulet. He wields a Large sized forceful greatclub of charging (like a forceful skylance) and carries a magic sling with him. For magic items he has a magical circlet, a Dragonmask, a periapt of wisdom, Bracers of Collision, a vest of Natural armor, Hewards haversack, and a healing belt. Stats- 18 str, 16 dex, 12 con, 10 int, 17 wis(21 with periapt), 10 cha. He converts all his money into gems and embeds them into his skin centered on his lithoderms, giving him a multicolored, multifaceted shimmer. He is 7'11" tall and around 325 lbs.(kinda lanky for his race). As a child he invented a game where hollowed out boulders were entered by the kids, who would brace themselves and shove off a ledge into a channel that runs down the mountains. He earned the name 'Stonerider' for this. When he charges him and the rhino average around 130 damage. He is 12th level with his +1 LA. Here is the custom mini I did up for them as reference.
I hope someone can do my guys, I would love to see them drawn up.
No love for ol' Fakey? *sniff* Oh well.....

I already said that I'd draw up Terin. Though, in retrospect, it was kinda vague... Sorry about that. Anyway, I'm working on him right now. No "Beast" aspect- I'm terrible at drawing cat-ish things, but maybe someone else can grab that bit.

Below are some links to various tribal tattoos in the style I was imagining her using. There is a great pic of Seoni from the Cover of Pathfinder #2 (the tattoos running along the sides of her face were inspired by this). Seoni's tattoos are more of an egyptian style which is not what I am going for. I like the more feral look of the ones in the examples I have provided. I was thinking that Ka'kara's tattoos were somewhat individualistic (this one represents Desna, and this on bravery, etc..) but linked into tribal chains running around her arms, legs, waist/torso, and up the sides of her face. I completely respect your artistic eye and you should change it if it doesn't look good (example: looks terrible running around the arm but great in a diagnal spiral down the arm, or whatever). Heh, this is a lot to write up so I hope that it's not overwhelming you.

Oh, and if your up for it, put some of the tattoos where you can just see a little at the edge of what little she is wearing and of course you can't help wonder exactly where it goes :D I can't wait to see this one when you are done!

Though I missed the Monday rush, if any of you ever get the urge to draw a female wood-elf druid/ranger I have one to add to the request pile.
Here she is:

Veeeery cool. Really good work CJack, The bear, the leaves and the little details its what brings more like in the character! I belive they add up to the character's personality.

Pardon the intrusion but are any of the artists doing commissions still? My GF has been playing the same character for the past 8 years and I know she would love having her drawn up by a talented artist. Specially since her B-Day was yesterday hehe.
I still have a halfling in my queue, but that's it. I would be happy to draw your gf's character after that if you can get me the details. It would probably not be ready until friday at the earliest because I can't get back to working on anything until my hands stop shaking. Damn flu.

Very Cool! Thank you so much!
She actually came out quite close to her mini. Love the details.
You rock CJ!

Hey, Hugo, I found the original concept I did for my paladin's holy revolver.

I spend most of the weekend on Yoda's commission...It was only fair, he has waited for like 3 weeks already (don't look at me like that Hazhi :S) and once I started I could stop coloring. I never done this before so the result its quite rough and amateur-like, but I hope its good enough for the Pathfinder Wiki.
Asmodeus
Irori
Pharasma
Norgober
Cayden Cailean
I'll post more tomorrow and and wodnesday.
Status: With those HS out of the queue I'll continue on the regular commissions. Hazhi is 35% done and I already stated sketching the first female character. Both should be ready this week.

<====Waiting on pins and needles. I can wait though as I know the longer it takes the better it'll be :)
Very cool on the holy symbols. Working with pastels for the first time myself right now so I know exactly the coloring challenges you are facing.....but your doing a great job at it.

I am curious to see what your interpretation of an 18 strength on a foxy barbarian is going to look like ;)
You'll see very few muscles... So don't expect much. In these cases I favor good-looks over realism. How would you think she-hulk or wonder woman would look if they had the muscles according to their strenght?
;)

Yeah, that actually is why I was curious as it strikes me as a very difficult thing to do without losing some of the feminine aspects. I think your decision is a good one. Looked through my Frank Frazetta and Boris Vallejo art books and neither one of them added too much muscalature on their female subjects (matter a fact both liked a lot of curveyness). LOL, now i'll have to go look at some She-Hulk art to see what I think of it.
