Woot! Finally, I'm not alone in my insanity. I'm also in San Diego and wish I could move back to MI. However, my wife, who is a native Californian, is...less than receptive to the idea.

At this time, I'm just trying to get my parents out. I'm sure there are people and industries with solid employment, but I fled for economic reasons in summer 2008, and am glad I got out before it hit the fan nationwide. If you have something that will earn you income, that's great - but it's a scary place to be looking for a job.

My whole family started in the UP, but the auto industry brought them to Detroit. Thankfully my Dad is retired and did not have to suffer through the current auto crisis.

I did try the pathfinder society events, but those are a little too random for my tastes (in regards to players) and it is much harder to find a ongoing campaign to participate.

I've lived all my life in Alpena, if you can call that living.

Native Detroiter here. Born and raised. Live in Dearborn. Graduated EMU, currently at UM after 20+ years out of school.

There is a new place Downriver, Shenanigans. Chuck would like a Pathfinder group to get started.

I'm in there Tuesdays and Fridays from 6pm to close (10 and 12, respectively) stop in if in the area.

Living just next door to Michigan.

Living in Sarnia, Ont which is at the bridge with Port Huron.

No, Sebastian. We may have made an error in common, but your insanity remains unique, as does mine.

Necro-post.

I live in Jenison, near Grand Rapids. I spent a lot of my leisure time growing up in Escanaba in the U.P. outdoors hiking and canoeing and getting dirty, but a generous amount of the rest of my childhood enjoying RPGs with friends.

Today I play/DM Pathfinder RPG and D&D 4E.

I know the area well. I must be the only guy in San Diego who owns a T-shirt from the Buck Inn. My mother keeps sending me copies of UP Magazine. I think she's trying to tell me something. Mainly, "come home and get all this old game $#!+ out of my basement!"

Cheliax

Hahaha! Could be worse. She could be sending you "The Porcupine Press."

And I think I had my first underage restaurant drink at The Buck Inn.

*shifty eyes*

Save that game stuff! I sold almost all of mine to get my college sweetheart some nice Valentine's gifts, and tossed the rest when we got married and didn't think I had room for it in our small-ish apartment. One of my bigger regrets....

UP magazine is published by Porcupine Press.

I won't. She's got most of my 1e stuff and my copy of White Wolf Magazine #1

Hey, at least she married you, so it's not a total loss.

I'm out in Kalamazoo, MI. I play PFS and PFRPG. Drop me a line if you want to game.

Qadira

Ypsilanti here. I play 3.5 and Pathfinder. Used to play in Bombadill's coffee shop every week, sometimes we play at the Corner Brewery.

Ok, I should put something in my profile to recognize. Find me on facebook. Daniel Luckett. Only one riding at turtle. :)

Oh, and mac, I have no way of figuring out which of the 3 that pop up are you. I'll make a best guess, and hope I'm right.

Its about time someone else rez'd this thread.

I'm from the Gratiot area, Ithaca to be precise. We've got a little pfs group going here. I too went to Michigan Tech, miss Houghton a lot, but I don't miss the snow enough to move back.

Moving back to Michigan this winter after 2+ years in Alabama.

Cheliax

This is a shameful necro but I am putting a call out for players who live anywhere near "mid-michigan" as we call it. Specifically I am in Jackson, Mi.

I run a Pathfinder game weekly here and am looking for some more experienced players to meet, generally, and to play with etc.

I'm in Ann Arbor. Recently started a Pathfinder group with a bunch of friends from the University of Michigan, and it's going great :)

I don't know if you're into PFS or just Pathfinder, but Michigan PFS has a website so you can get to know fellow Michigan PFS players and find games.

There are a good number of PFS groups in the South East part of Michigan. The website is mostly SW Michigan right now as that's where our Venture Captain is located and pushing the site, but there several from SE and more every week.

I have never personally lived there, but I have alot of family around the Chelsea/Pinkney area. Dad grew up in Livionia/Detroit.

Troll.

Grew up in East Detroit. High School in Grosse Pointe. I am out in Hawaii with the military right now.

I grew up in East Lansing, and went to Michigan State U.

I moved to Portage/Kalamazoo five years ago from Missouri. I recently found the SW Michigan PFS and our Venture Captain. The website is very helpful for games across the state and includes nearby Con information.

I was born in Lansing, finished school in Kalamazoo (WMU), I currently work in Ann Arbor, and live in Canton. Trying to find a home game to join near Canton.

Anybody up by Traverse City: I got a group that plays Thursday and Saturday every week, Due to player shifting days, and sheduals, and prior commitments, Our group size of Thursday is getting down to the breaking size and needs players two preferably to keep Thurdays going. Gaming on both nights is "NOT REQUIRED", but our group would prefer people who can show up regularly to at least one night a week, but as I said Thursday is the night we are running shy in players. We have Experienced DMs, but DM-ing skills would be a plus. We play many different game systems but lately we have been using Pathfinder. We are in Traverse City, in the evenings starting around 5-6pm ish till 12-1am ish.

responces can be on this thread or on (http://paizo.com/forums/dmtz6azq?Traverse-City-MI#1) this thread.

Well, if I were keeping in time, I would wait another 8 months before posting.

ANOTHER MICHIGAN PERSON HERE!!

I'm from the Northern Lower Peninsula (Cadillac, TC and Petoskey), went to school at Tech and Wayne, and I'm writing this from Grandville (where, I suppose I'm also going to school). While at Wayne, though, I had the good fortune of playing SWSE and 4e with a (well established) group out of Ferndale and a PF game with (cobbled together [read: Craigslist]) group in AA/Ypsi.

How is the PFS scene here? I've never done this sort of organized play, so I'm a bit behind the times on this. Anything I should know about organized play?

Would anyone want to gather 'round over at Founder's, Bells, or the Hopcat?

I'm sorry I didn't see this earlier. I know I've already posted about MichiganPFS.org above, but we have recently added a Northern Michigan section to the forums. There are others up there that are looking to organize some PFS games. Take a look if you're interested.

I am also from northern lower michigan. Used to game with some friends until life took us in different directions. Now I am a bord GM with no players endlessly pouring over my Pathfinder books. Anyone in the Traverse City area have a game I could join or start a new group with?

Michigan person here. I run a game in Canton Michigan based on Enworld's Zeitgeist campaign.

Macomb County here....been gaming biweekly with our core group of 4....always looking to find 1 or 2 people from the area who need a solid group. We r starting a new campaign this Sunday...
