Areshkagal = Erishkigal?

I really enjoyed James' blog post on the Demon Lords of Golarion. I'm wondering if the name of the new demon lord Areshkagal is a variation of the name of the babylonian goddess Erishkigal? If yes, then perhaps she be listed among the demon lords that are inspired by real-world mythology?

Given the mysterious sphinx description, I think it's just the name being taken from mythology (and in a changed form at that). But it does seem likely the name is inspired by the Mesopotamian goddess. I'm a fan of using Ereshkigal in adventures, having used in both my "Repair of the Keep on the Borderlands" effort for the 2nd edition "Return to the Keep" module and in my final RPG Superstar submission.

Casting ye olde Resurrection to Necro the Thread;... Is there anything new?

Either Areshkagal in PF2
or
Erishkigal in a 3rd-Party-Published product such as from WotC or Kobold Press or something
or
Homebrew from the Minds of Paizo's 'Lords of the Boards'

THANKS!

The name Areshkagal was for sure inspired by the name Erishkigal, but I changed the name because what I had planned for this demon lord was something very different than the mythological inspiration. And in part because the name at the time had some other traction for other games, and this one was meant to be an entirely new creation. Using a variant of the name helped to lend the demon a bit of fake nostalgia and gravitas, but that's all.

Beyond the name, Areshkagal is not inspired by any real-world myths in particular, and in fact there's more inspiration in her look from Lovecraft's Nyarlathotep as a faceless sphinx than from real world stuff.
