I've been wondering at this for two days, trying to recall or figure out the context. Alas, my gray matters fails me. Please elucidate.

I'm referring to my comments about the last episode where I confused your rant for what Ed had to say after the rant. :)

Thank you! That was killin' me because it seemed familiar and yet just out of memory's reach. :)

And don't forget... there's still time to enter our RPG COUNTDOWN CONTEST AND WIN $2011, but you'd better get to it!

Is there anywhere where the full list is posted?

I don't think I'll get back out to the games store, and get a receipt to you in the post by next Thursday, but someone else might.

Does emailing a scan of the receipt still count?

Hey there, Snorter

We created this contest to get more people to listen to the podcast and increase its listenership, so I can't speak to posted full lists per se, Perseus... but a good Google search may be the droid you're looking for. ;)

We need actual printed receipts.

Just curious, does anyone know how long it take for the post to make its way across the pond?

Scarab Sages

No worries, I was totally fishing.

I do have RPG Countdown as one of my bookmarks, but hadn't checked in for several months, as I hadn't seen any updates.
There's a good chance I may have already bought one of the items on the list, without realising, and be able to dig up a dogeared receipt, without having to listen to a year's worth of podcasts in one night.

We switched from a biweekly show to just having five shows a year.

We'll do four top 25 RPG products episodes quarterly and one show each February that covers the previous year's top 100 RPG products.

I listened to episode 59 this week; I found the reference to 'toxic Pez dispensers' very apt, as I sat on the train home...

I'm sorry to hear it. How many times can open-mouthed miscreants opera-blast the air with germs at a particular location before you can't help but to bark aloud, "Oh come on!"

Takes me about five to seven before I get vocal.

Ah, so here is where The Jade hangs out.

I attended your Iron GM event at TotalCon and it was awesome!

You guys put on a pretty fantastic show!

Thanks, Doodley. When I saw pics of the con two days after and saw you named, I remembered exactly where you sat (next to Patrick Curtin, right?). Thank you much for attending! We'll be back next year, bringin' the RPG thundah.

BTW, you may have forgotten a comma when speaking of our event. Wasn't it really more of a pretty, fantastic show? ;)

"Like" our Iron GM Facebook page and you'll be entered in a lottery to win my undying respect (all expenses paid).

I wanted to hang out after the show but everyone left by the time I packed up all that borrowed sound gear and got it back to its owner's hotel room. There's me walking through the restaurant in the lobby looking for Paizonians... chirp... chirp...

I always enjoy Atomic Array, but I really enjoyed this one. I'm a fan of Sanderson's work, so I loved hearing the interview. Kinda partial to Rone's Rant, too. :)

After seeing the pictures I have to ask, where did you find the orange suit?

Exactly! Am I the last one to hear of this?

Let's give a rated PG version for the folks at home.

The king's squire did sire a brat
With the milkmaid in ten seconds flat
When his scabbard did ripped
Through which seed then did slip
A king's ransom to silence the flap

Great episode, Atomic Arrayers! You seemed very excited to have Brandon on the show and made me regret that Mistborn is still on my "to read" pile.

Somehow I figured TotalCon would come up in your rant, Jade. :D

Thanks! When this episode released, a few of my non gamer friends saw Brandon's Atomic Array interview tweet and called me to tell me how impressed they were... so Brandon really must be doing something right to have that kind of sway. Give the books a chance when you can. IMO they're greeeeeeeat! (I turned were-tiger ad campaign spokesman last week after being bitten by an escaped tiger running along Madison Ave.)

Episode 62!

The war has begun. The Emperor has called for blood!

That is how the description of Wu Xing: The Ninja Crusade begins. So we called on creator Eloy Lasanta of Third Eye Games to come on The Array and tell us all about it. In this episode, we talk chop about the Wu Xing RPG, the many ninja clans that player characters come from, and the war that permeates the setting.

We touch upon these two supplement books for the setting as well...
Wu Xing: Firebrands
and
Wu Xing: Land of Seed and Blossom

Our show page also links to another Atomic Array video with Jen Page. Watch me destroy our skit with the greatest of ease!

While the game wasn't my cup of tea, you and Ed do a great job of brining out all of the cool aspects of the game.

And I know what you mean about the physical pains that accompany getting older. Since age 35, I've experienced "where the hell did that come from" pain from the most mundane things...like walking.

Well thank you for saying so, taig. Much appreciated!

As for those unglamorous injuries that creep up on you from out of nowhere, I recall a stand-up once talking about waking up from a nap, hurt from the act of napping. I so get that.

Has anyone else noticed yet that the "ninja" at the beginning of this episode sounds shockingly like the two-headed monster from Sesame Street?

Just wondering...

Sit back and enjoy our “An Evening With Steven Brust” Special Edition episode.

A couple months ago, Patrick DeLise suggested we invite author/gamer Steven Brust on the show. So, being fans ourselves, we most certainly did.

Steven’s first work, Jhereg, was released in 1983. Since then, Steven has released a total of 13 stories that follow Jhereg’s protagonist, the smart-mouthed assassin Vlad Taltos. In addition, he has written The Khaavren Romances, which at set in the same world - though follow different characters.

Sprinkled amongst the novels set in Dragaera, you will also find a number of other Brustian offerings, including a novel based on the Firefly television series, called My Own Kind of Freedom.

Steven doesn’t just know his way around a good story, he also plays a number of instruments - and has been known to play them, and even sing, from time to time at the various fiction and fandom events he attends. He is a part of the band Cats Laughing, which even received a mention by Chris Claremont in Star Trek: Debt of Honor.

You can keep up to date on what Steven is up to by visiting The Dream Cafe.

Thank you for the entertaining interview with Steven Brust! I finally got to listen to it recently, and I feel quite remiss in not reading any of his work. I will rectify that in short order. :)

Gracias, taig! Really glad you enjoyed the episode.

The last thing I did before getting on a plane to Phoenix Comicon today was to upload AA 63 to Ed, but I am dead tired. Show notes soon.

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I'll say this about the new episode. I sing a variation on Elvis' Burning Love from the POV of an Elvis zombie. It was far too much fun.

Episode 63 of Atomic Array rocks and rolls your way!

You believe Elvis is still alive out there somewhere? Well he is, sort of. Minus the live part. We Michael Satran about his latest HERO System adventure entitled King of the Mountain.

Please forgive my Elvis zombie impression singing Hunka Hunka Rot and Roll at the beginning. The voodoo priestess compelled me to do so.

It’s your ears we’re enlistin’… will you still listen to Episode 64...

We love Savage Worlds. If you’ve listened to the Array for any length of time, you probably knew that already. But, while we’ve had a number of Savage episodes (see below), we’ve never actually had a show dedicated to the game itself.

That ends now, and we invited John Goff on to help us take care of the oversight.

Deadlands Noir: On Kickstarter

Ed’s Pick: The Sickness
Rone’s Rant: “Movie Trailers Are Movie Trash”

Remember, during every episode of Atomic Array, we have creative contests where you can win the game we’re featuring on the show and maybe more! < -- That punctuation mark means you should drip with excitement. DRIP, I SAY!
