Steve, once I've played any of the respective mod's I'll be more than happy to judge them at Oroboros.

Well I'm still down for The Games Matrix, I think that makes three total so far. Unfortunately I'll be out of the area from the 15th through 26thish and then gone again 28-04 October. However I'm free the 13th and 27th.

BlackKestrel PLEASE come to Redmond and be a GM for at least the first slot (10:30-3:30)!! We can promise you some Mob GM Swag!

No need to bribe me. I just looked up driving directions from my place to G&G and while its a bit longer than I'd like I'm willing to get there. Heck I'm even willing to GM the morning slot. I've never run a tournament style game before. Anything I should be aware of? Also what module do you need me to GM/Judge?

Oh and I'm still down for meeting up at The Games Matrix.

Well the MOB generally bribes all GM's from our box of GM swag.

For judging a tournament module -- you need to have prepared (read) the module before hand. Which means you will need to download it from the Pathfinder Society page. Modules run around $4 a pop. If you download and prep #1 and #2 I'm pretty sure that the MOB can reimburse you for the cost. Tournament style is just like a home game only you have a time limit (4 hours) and sort of need to keep the players a bit more focused than otherwise.

Slot one is Silent Tides -- that runs from 10:30 till 3:30.

Slot two is Hydra's Teeth -- which runs from 4:00 till 8:00.

Did you play either of these modules at GenCon?

My understanding is that these run a bit short (duration wise). Rob has said that generally this isn't a problem.

CJ

Well...Ok I'll take the bribe, but no need for reimbursement :). I wasn't at Gencon so I haven't played either. I'll run Silent Teeth in slot one. I'd like a chance to play as well.

Please sign-up on the MOB Muster site -- if you don't have an RPGA number (which the site uses for a unique identifier) let me know, and I can get you one.

The Mob Muster Site.

You can sign-up to GM in slot one and play in slot two.

CJ

Ok, signed up for judging Silent Tide for slot one. Let the TPK commence!

Like thelesuit said, I'd be willing to help with DMing modules after I've played them in Redmond, or vice versa, running them in Redmond after playing them in Bellevue.

As an aside, does anyone who'll be there on the 13th have a spare PHB I could use for the duration of the games? I just moved to the area from out of town, and both of my copies are currently in a box in my parents house. At best, they'll be somewhere in the US postal service by the 13th. :-(

2/5

No worries. I will eat and be prepared to judge Hydra's Fang in the second slot (4PM - 8PM) if necessary. Right now we have enough to run a single table. With me as the alternate GM, we can accommodate any walk-in's.

CJ

Sovereign Court

I just signed up! I'm really looking forward to this. But, as I have to drive 2+ hours to get there, I'd like to know if the tables are full before I make the drive. So, keep me posted on that, okay? It's much appreciated! Okay, now about my character...

Zootcat -- right now there is room at the tables in both slots. As near as I can tell you will be able to play both Silent Tides and Hydra's Fang Incident.

That being said, we now need more players for the second slot (Hydra's Fang) in order to make two legal tables. We have more than enough signed up to make one table, but not quite enough for two right now.

Name: Quintus Vespario
Gender: M
Concept: Cleric of Aroden
Class: Rogue 1 (archer)
Race: Human (Chelaxian)
Homeland: Cheliax
Faction: Taldor

Coming from a long line of Clerics of Aroden in diabolical Cheliax, Quintus Vespario grew up on the run. Eventually, he made his way to Taldor, where he joined the Basilica of the First Man, the biggest Church of Aroden in the world. While he doesn't desire Taldor to rise up again and rule Cheliax, he is working with them to that end. This is because he figures that Taldan-dominated Cheliax is a lesser evil than the tyranny of diabolical House Thrune.

Thanks, Thelesuit. I will come and play! Hopefully, more players will sign up. But,if I have to back out of The Hydra's Fang Incident because there is not enough for a second table, then I will. That's only fair as I was the last to sign up.

Sovereign Court

Update: I have to back out altogether. I ate The Silent Tide last night, so now I can't play it. And it looks like there won't be room for me to play The Hydra's Fang Incident. So I hope to see you guys next time! :)

Actually right now there are six PLAYERS signed up and six slots (and you are currently one of the players). I understand not wanting to drive 2+ hours to play in one module. You could come and judge the first slot though...if you desired. I'm sure we will have some walk-in's.

YES!!! Finishing up LG, and not thrilled about 4e. Would love to continue 3.5e/Pathfinder Campaign!!

OCC/Gabbie would be a great place to go.

So, that brings up the question of "Is there any interest in Olympia?"

We could check with Gabbie or do it at my place.

I think the first Seattle Society Play was a great sucess! We set the next date for Oct 11th.

Chris would you please set up the sign up on the mob site soon so we can give people alot of time to make arrangements?

Still post your interest here! We will be running The Frozen Fingers and Murder on the Silken Road on the 11th. If there is enough interest Chris might be up to running the Hydra's Fang for people who still need to run through that mod, but thats up to him though! You might need to beg a little.....

I had a lot of fun GMing and I hope everyone enjoyed playing!

See next time!

Sorry I missed it! If had seen this post on time, I might have come. My apologies. So, how did it go?

The sign-up for the Seattle Mob October Game Day Pathfinder scenarios is up at the Seattle Mob Muster Site.

For October Rob (Zoomackulas Eichendar) has offered to GM Murder on the Silken Caravan and Frozen Fingers of Midnight.

If there is interest I will also be available to run Hydra's Fang Incident and Silent Tide.

Sign up now so we can determine if we are going to need more GM's.

I know that most folks come here first for Pathfinder Society news, but I thought that a more regional communications forum might be to engender. So a PNW Pathfinder Google group has been created at: pnw-pfs (at) googlegroups (dot) com.

Everyone is welcome, though the group will be all about fostering PFS game play in the Pacific Northwest.

I haven't heard otherwise, so I'm assuming that this Saturday at Games and Gizmos is still a go (for pt4 and maybe pt5). I'll get a hold of Mike D to car pool down.

The Seattle Mob November Gameday is Saturday, November 8th at Genesis Games & Gizmos in Redmond, WA.

I would be prepared to GM some of the mod's I played at ConFusion (Victoria, BC) this last weekend.

PFS#4 - Frozen Fingers of Midnight

PFS#5 - Mists of Mwangi

PFS#6 - Black Waters

What is the level of interest in playing in any of these modules?

I'd be up for Black Waters. I've played the other two with Rob already.

We need at least four players to muster a table.

If there was interest I could "eat" PFS #7 Among the Living.

CJ

I spoke with the lead guy running the Gaming Events at Norwescon. He's certainly willing to schedule in some Pathfinder Society games, but needs all the relevant info on that...number of tables, number of people per table, time requested, etc.

Anyone have those answers and willing to take the lead on it?

2/5

It sounds like we will indeed have enough players to muster two tables on Saturday at the Seattle Mob Game day.

I will be running:

PFS #6 Black Waters

and

PFS #7 Among the Living

It is too late to run this through the Mob Muster Site...so I will just count on folks showing up.

I was waiting to see if I was going to be able to play this week with everyone due to work stuff and I just found out that I will not be able to attend. I hope everyone has a good time and am glad Chris is able to keep things going for us. Hopefully next month I will be able to play. Please post and tell me how things went, I wish I could have played!

Hi everyone, are things still progressing?

Is there a game in Tacoma anymore?

I would like to track this and get in on some of the play.

The Exchange

Hi, all!

I'm traveling up to Seattle, April 19-22, for business and would love to get in some PFS. Anybody interested in a game?

A Pathfinder from the arid southern lands of Eh-Lay would be most grateful!

The Seattle Mob would like to include Pathfinder Society modules among their offerings at their monthly Second Saturday game days at Games & Gizmos in Redmond (now home to Paizo).

They will give us table space and what limited advertising they do -- all we have to do is provide scenarios, a GM, and players. Though I imagine once we start playing, other folks will see how much cooler PFRPG is than 4e...and flock to our banner.

I will get more details on the time -- but I believe the first slot starts at 11am or so. The second Saturday in September is the 12th. Is anyone interested?

Slots for the 12th run from 11:30 to 4:00 and 5:00 to 9:30.

Is anyone interested in playing or GM'ing.

I could run some of the early Season 0's, or eat something if there is interest.

I need to double-check that I'm definitely free that day, but I'm pretty sure I am. I've played 1, 2, 23, 24 and eaten 8. I'd love to play in anything else!

Thanks Nick -- I think.

In a weird twist of fate, the Seattle Mob used to be the "home base" for WOTC's RPGA as well: we used to hold our Game Days at WOTC HQ in Renton.

I hope we can generate as much interest in PFS play.

As it seems like most of the players expressing a desire to play on the 12th are new to Pathfinder Society, I will be looking to run:

PFS#4 - Frozen Fingers of Midnight

PFS#5 - Mists of Mwangi

For those considering attending, please let me know if this is acceptable.

I will be running the following PFS modules at the Seattle Mob Game Day, on October 10th, at Genesis Games & Gizmos in Redmond:

PFS #6 Black Waters

PFS #7 Among The Living

First slot starts at 11:30.

Please let me know if you are interested in playing.

We actually ended up running PFS #5 Mists of Mwangi and PFS #23 Tide of Morning at the Game Day.

Just a head's up to folks, but we will be running two more slots of Pathfinder Society at the November Mob Game Day on the 14th. Let me know if you are interested in playing and what modules you would like to see run.

If we can muster enough interest I have enough GM's lined up for two tables (maybe a high level and a low level) per slot.

Are newbies welcome at these events? If so, I might be interested in registering a character and showing up in November.

Moab wrote:

Newbies are more than welcome. Most of the players have only played one or two modules at this point...so there isn't a great disparity in characters levels.

Besides, everyone was a newbie once. After you've played a table, you will no longer be a newbie -- so come on down.

I have only played one scenario at Paizocon and ran either scenario 25 or 26 there. I will have to look to see which ones there were.

I'm interested, it sounds fun. I've been trying to figure out how to get started in a couple of pathfinder games since my 3.5 campaign concluded with our DM moving. How often do these things run usually? I haven't done anything inside living greyhawk or pathfinder society before.

This is what is planned for the 14th:

Slot 1 (11:30 to 4PM)
PFS #24: Decline of Glory -- DM: Blake Davis
PFS #11: The Third Riddle -- DM: Rob Eby

Slot 2 (5-9PM)
PFS #13: Prince of Augustina -- DM: Blake Davis
PFS #1: Silent Tide -- DM: Aaron Schrader

The Seattle Mob Game Days transpire every month on the second Saturday. We play at Genesis Games and Gizmos in Redmond.

Just moving back to Seattle (Woodinville, specifically) anything going on or anyway I can be informed on upcoming events?
EDIT: I'm looking to play, but don't mind DMing the few scenarios I've already played through.
