We are approaching LUDICROUS SPEED.

He's also the one who did the deity writeups in Pathfinder. :D

Best news I've heard all day. Congrats Sean!

Score another one for the Pathfinder team!

I look forward to seeing more of your awesome work Sean.

I'm almost tempted to say "Welcome home, Sean"... maybe it is a welcome home, if home is where the heart is :)

Great news! Sean is one of the best math-fu, reasoned argument kind of designers I've ever chatted with online.

I hope some of his 'lack of absolutes' proposals on his web site find their way into the Pathfinder Rules ...

And the pantheon of Paizo deities has been expanded once more.

Welcome to Paizo, Sean!

I am so glad you joined the team. I love your work...

Now what is this about lack of absolutes on his website and where would I find that website?

Welcome aboard Sean!

Hah! Imagine half a dozen puns about 'interesting developments' added here.

Once again Paizo brings in another highly respectable name!

This is awesome. Welcome, Sean!

I did know, or at least heavily suspect it, but it's great news nonetheless.

It seems more and more that all the great names I associate with my favourite edition of my favourite RPG are working at or for Paizo.

I'm more convinced than ever that the game is in the best hands.

Referring to these two articles on my site, I believe:

The level of Awesome is getting so high that you guys need to watch out in the event it gets supersaturated, crystalizes, and starts falling out of solution.

...what? I've been stuck in a lab all day, forgive me making a chem joke. :)

But seriously, Paizo is gutting the industry talent pool all for itself. *glee*

With Mike leaving, I just *knew* you'd land at Paizo, Sean! And really, I absolutely know you'll design more great stuff in the world of Pathfinder. Congratulations to you, and nothing but best wishes...

Awesome news! Congratulations!

Congrats on your new job, Sean!

What's the chance that we'll be able to see some of the Pathfinder minis painted up by Sean now?

Liberty's Edge

Welcome to Paizo, Sean.

Can I even say that? It sounds like I'm already here welcoming you in. It's that kind of community. I know you're going to do great work and I look forward to seeing it.

Now, I know Paizo has been pretty good about not spilling the beans about new hires, but I've got to ask - who else are they trying to recruit? Do they have their feelers out? Any upcoming coups? Inquiring minds want to know.

(PS - Sean, with all love and respect possible, I've been reading your blog, and I have to say that the first thing you need to learn at Paizo is the difference between *their* and *they're*. Specifically 'typhoon isn't near them (their in the north, typhoon hit central).' I'm betting you know the difference and it was fast enough you just let it slip by, but man, that particular error makes me gag whenever I see it.)

Wow, Sean. This is some excellent stuff. Have you shown this to your new coworker Jason? And when was this written? And where's the "more to come?"

And welcome to Paizo. I've loved all your stuff as a freelancer, both for Dragon and Pathfinder, and I look forward to more of it as an official member of the team.

I cast commune to speak with the great god Jacobs, who answers my inquiries into the matter with the following response.

The Avatar of Jacobs wrote:
You, meek mortals, will receive writeups on my fellow gods in the order I dictate. I shall grant you Zon-Kuthon, Caiden Caylean and Calistria, then most likely (unless I change my mind) Rovagug and Sarenrae. The great Oz has spoken

And I really do like your articles on removing auto-success.

I kind of disagree in the specific case of the Paladin and the Great Wyrm (the player should run, but I can see the Paladin getting a choice). I guess in that specific case I would rather see the bonus higher, but everything else, agree 100%.

Excellent news, I'm glad the rumors were correct!

Great friggin' news. Glad you're here, Sean. Can't wait to see your moves.

Wow. I'm happier than the day I shot a smurf.

Assuming they have some sitting about, very high. Not that they'd look great by my brush, but it would be fun. :)

Forgive me, I had been up since 5am, it was after midnight, and sleep deprivation triggers my PDHRS (pseudo-dyslexian homonym replacement syndrome) . :)

Thanks! I linked some stuff for Erik to forward to him, I think that was part of it. At this point, the "more" is awaiting me finishing GOG, quitting WOW, and moving to Seattle, in that order. :)

Welcome.

Liberty's Edge

When I write up my own deities for my campaign, I liberally plagiarize from Sean's Core Beliefs stuff. Change a few names, tweak the history a bit, and presto. I look forward to stealing yet more ideas from him in the future.

Liberty's Edge

And Sean, I just read that blog entry about absolutes, and I hate to be nit-picky, but if a Fire Giant (even an absolutely immune to heat fire giant) fell through the sun, he'd still be crushed into something almost certainly no longer recognizable as a fire giant, let alone alive. Heat immunity isn't pressure immunity after all.

Plus, no air.

So how long should we wait before we turn opportunistic and start asking for the best way to adapt Ghostwalk for Pathfinder? ;)

No seriously, when.

Sean brings our editorial staff up to full, actually. And we've hired a customer service person to fill the gap left by Corey (although she doesn't start for a little while yet). The only job openings we have now are in software development and in the warehouse.

Mmm, and that SD position really makes me wish I didn't live a third of the globe away from you guys, cause I'd totally apply... ahh well...

He's Santa Claus. And you should care because he might just have a present for you. But only if you're very good.

Assuming that you are not just being snarky, we shall help educate you...

A list of the books he has helped write, including but not limited to the 3e Forgotten Realms Campaign Book, 3e Fiend Folio, and Ghostwalk.
