OK, so we've got:

Kadrenis (my wife) - smart hero/salvager
Wolvenone
Radavel
James Martin - fast hero/gunslinger
David Wickham
Stunty_the_Dwarf

Looks like we're full up on players.

If everyone could post a character concept by Wednesday, I'll finish the website and we can probably start by Monday.

Two-Finger Joe grew up twitchy. Small and lean, he learned to be faster than the other kids, to throw better than them and to never stop moving. When he was 13 he was out hunting in the brush around town. He stumbled, and fell into a sinkhole that turned out to be a cache of weapons and stores. He fell in love with a Colt Python, the only working weapon still in the cache. He named it Bessie and carries it everywhere. Although he relies on a disc shooter for everyday defense and hunting, his true love is Bessie. One day, they'll go far, he knows it. One day.

Kain was born in a small fortified community in Kentucky. He and his mother were treated poorly because of his "taint".
When she died, after years of abuse and ostracization, he took some supplies and left, traveling through zombie-infested Georgia and ending up in Alabama.

Kurt Rivers was an ex-military semi-proffesional race car driver until the apocalypse struck now he makes his living as a escort and fast transport of goods between communities, he has recently finished a job that placed him in New Allenville

Kain is finished. I went with max hp (aliens, radiation, and zombies -- I think we'll need them), but that's easily changed.
charismatic/psionic (telepath for sure but maybe telepath/warmind)

Vissigoth, still finalizing my character Ivan Shadowmantle. This is my first time to play d20 Modern and I'm still familiarizing myself with the nuances of the game. Had to borrow a copy of D20 Apocalypse and D20 Future to check out the changes.


Rayne was five when the aliens attacked. She lived in Chicago, Illinois. She was taught salvaging and mechanics by her father. Her parents were killed by mutants. After their deaths she started traveling. Her travels leads to Alabama.

Max hp at first level. Then roll or take half+1, your choice.

Try to have your characters done by this weekend, but it's no big deal if you need a little more time.

Here are some points about the characters that I have noticed.

Kurt Rivers


  • Some of your charts got mixed around. Your skill chart in particular is a bit confusing.

  • I assume you are saving your mutation points for later.

  • Unspent action points are lost when you gain a new level. You should only have 8 (6 + 1/2 character level).

  • What are the vehicle groups for your SVO feats?

  • We are not using the Wealth system, we are using the trade unit system. Your starting TUs would be 82. See the d20 Apocalypse book for TU values for buying gear.

  • Your character looks great, but needs to be leveled up to level 4. Max hp at first level, then roll or take half+1 (that would be 4 for a d6).

Two-Finger Joe


  • Your character looks good except for your action points. You should only have 8.

So we're only starting with the action points from this level? I'm not real clear on action points, but the way it's written, they roll over each level. If you want to say we've used up all the APs up to this point, that's okay, although there might be other ways to figure out if there are any left (ex. roll a percentile for each level (levels 1-3) to determine how many of each level's points were used.)
Anyway... I'll figure at 8.

Your right. Action points do roll over. I think its in Ebberon that you lose them when you level up. Take 1/2 of the action points you gained at levels 1-3. That should put you around 18. Sound fair?

fixed some stuff did gear got rid of that mutation like i thought i had etc.

cant seem to find how many action points i should have now that i deleted it out though
