Are also included many NPC.

I print them on a 8,5 X 11 inches Avery label, then glue it on cardboard and cut them. Your players will love those

Ack...went to download and got a Trojan Attack warning from my Avast Software.

The last of Misgivings is done

Once again Tintagel superb work. Thanks again for all you hard work on this my players (and I) will certainly appreciate it.

Now I know you are really busy but but would it be possible to do a version of the area around and including the Misgivings but with all the roof in place?

I think this would be fantastic for my players as they approach the house and then I can switch to the internal ground floor map once they enter.

Grays! The man needs to do - NEEDS TO DO - the tower from the end of Skinsaw. Maybe the other major maps first... but he shouldn't waste his talent on such pleasantries as "area around" or... "doorless maps". Uh... crap.

No seriously Tint - just plow through and make awesome maps of the most important encounters. If you do requests we will never let you get to the end of runelords. I, for one, am terrified to think of what you'll have to do for Pathfinder #5.

... but you have my enthusiastic (and financial if needed) support.

toyrobots wrote:

Just for completeness and it's mostly done already. Cut a bit from the attic, paste it on the ground level and add a little bit and ta dah!!!

I would do this myself of course. Only I have no idea how to....

I agree Tintagel's version of tower will be interesting (and probably correct, unlike the Paizo one) and I look forward to it.

I do have one problem with Tintagel's mapping - its making me a little lazy in my own map design. I have always suffered from having a group which plays very slowly, joking around alot etc. However this is all playing in my favour now as Tintagel's group has overtaken us I can use his beautiful maps. I only do little maps here and there.

Tintagel keep up the great work its truly outstanding and what's a little roof between DM's???

I'm runing RotRL in the Pathfinder system. I used to run a Savage Tide game, and back then someone created statblocks for all the critters. I've gone and done that for Burnt Offerings. Most everything is convereted over to pathfinder. I didn't get to complex with the skill points. I just collapsed everything down to the existing skills and if there were two different levels say Hide +7 and Move Silently +4 I gave stealth a +7. If anyone is interested in the statblock send me an email at thirdpoliceman@hotmail.com. Right now it is in .docx the newest word format, let me know if you would like a different format.

I noticed the link to the JPEG, but not the SKP file (that is, the actual 3D model file for Google Sketchup). That would be great.

If I can get some time, I will look at doing the roof and start tackling the tower, but no promises. I'm still working on getting Creative Gremlins off the ground and updating my powercard templates to include the PHB2 classes. http://educatedgamer.net/powercards.htm

Too much to do, too little time...

Hey Gang --

This is some great stuff. I have decided to run RotR for my online 4e game, using Map Tools. I was a Paizo subscriber while this was coming out and I was VERY tempted to run this for my 3.5 game, but I was immersed in DMing Age of Worms at the time.

But with the whole PDF fiasco and the new Paizo sale (which I bought a few other items), I have rediscovered how good the STORIES are in Paizo's APs.

This 4e conversion stuff is just the thing to push this choice over the edge.

Quick question, though. Watcher's map links for Burnt Offerings aren't working anymore. Does anyone have these files that can host them? I'd love to see his takes on the battlemaps.

Tintagel, I have your 4e Powercard templates and his Cardsets, and if did a nice Dundjinni map of these area's I'd be stoked, but I see you have the blown up Paizo versions. I want a higher-res 5' square...

Anyway, does someone know where to find these maps?

I'm a bit confused over which maps your after? Tintagel has done a version of the Glassworks and catacombs but not Thistletop as far as I am aware.

I may have a copy of Watchers maps on my laptop but will need to check. However the man himself is still lurking these forums and so perhaps he can supply them.

Wow.. quite by coincidence here I am!

Actually I was checking to see if Tintagel had finished SkinSaw Murders and was anywhere near Hook Mountain Massacre.

I guess I can help someone out with Thistletop.. but any of mine weren't a fraction as good as any of Tintagel's on a good day. And I never went past Burnt Offerings.. After that point, a friend of mine who worked for a newspaper just plotted them out for me straight from the PDFs.

Now that I'm looking into VTTs, I might start getting back into making maps again, but not at least till I move in May. Going from the East Coast to West Coast.

Okay.. for old times sake.. who wants some maps? Parse out an e-mail address for me and I'll do this one more time..

Seriously, I just found mine.. they made me smile because it was my own work and I'd never tried to make maps before.. but they're not up to Tintagel's level of quality. My Thistletop maps used a light floor tile because I was burning way too much toner at *my* office's plotter.

I plot black and white blueprints at my office, when we burned through the color carts, I had to find an alternative.

Now with a VTT, it doesn't matter as much how many colors you're using or how detailed....

Hey Tintagel, I think I ran into you online Saturday night.. a demonstration of EpicTable at FUMcom?

Gr4ys, Tintagel, and everybody else that have contributed - Awesome work many thanks from a grateful GM.

I have the Glassworks map. Excellent stuff(!), but I think the Catacombs he did were simply blow-ups of the Paizo maps. Tintagel's stuff is really nice.

I had seen that Watcher had maps for Burnt Offerings for Thistletop and the Catacombs, so I was wondering if someone still had them, since the link in your post(s) is dead.

Anyway, Watcher, I see you replied as well. If you want, it would be awesome if you can email a link to the Thistletop and/or Catacomb maps. My address is matto323 at yahoo dotcom. No worries about quality. :)

Rather than Watcher do this (again) could someone host the maps for him or Watcher perhaps you could post the maps onto a site like www.rpgmapshare.com?

I can than update the link. I also plan to update the list this weekend so if anybody has anything additional please let me know. I have seen some great SketchUp pictures on other posts and will be including these this time.

Just be sure you get all the nice sketchup stuff that's been posted...

I've seen the Sandpoint Cathedral (interior), the Shadow Clock (interior), the Sandpoint barracks (exterior), and Vekker's Cabin (exterior). I'm mighty grateful to the folks churning out these visuals...

can someone please use their powers for the Sandpoint lumber mill interior? Very important map!

I went ahead and did a VERY basic map of Foxglove's Townhouse. I basically converted the existing map as faithfully as I could. I didn't put in any extra details (like scattered books or damage to the house), as I focused entirely on speed mapping and simplicity. This has the secondary benefit of making the map reusable for other adventures!

It's at lesser scale (100 dpi) and is, in my opinion, the standard quality that I would expect for most maps in an Adventure Path (if a third party were selling them). My thoughts are that these maps can be created fairly quickly and could make the bulk of combat maps, with one or two High Quality maps per adventure.

Anyways, here are the links:

* Foxglove Townhouse Level 1
* Foxglove Townhouse Level 2
* Foxglove Townhouse Level 1

Note that I'm now hosting my maps at Creative Gremlins.com - specifically, the Gallery. If anyone has Watcher's maps, send them to me and I can post them.

Yes, CZ is a top level domain just like COM. I use Czech Republic's domain 'cause that's where I live ;) So far I have registered only vlcatko.cz domain so that's where you should find me :)

Alas no luck this time either :( And my spamlog did not even register any attempt - are you sure you wrote the address right?

This is quite good really.

At least, for VTT users like myself. Well, Maptool users anyway, I am not sure about the other flavors. As the VTT app becomes an increasingly better tool for handling lighting, this kind of map can still look really great and atmospheric during play with just a little extra effort. It's one thing to have a candle on the desk that was photoshopped to be a light source, it's even better to have a candle the PC can pick up and carry with him that continues to be a lightsource.

Anyway, bravo, please keep the maps coming as fast as you can manage. This level of quality is fine. If you can manage a doorless version (since my players love animated doors) during the process I'm grateful.

Is there a PDF somewhere that is like form filling to create player hand out letters?

I just wanted to chime in with my thanks as well for all of these great maps. And thanks to Tintagel's ringing endorsements, I even went out and purchased d20pro to showcase them to my players (we ran our first session with it two weeks ago - Hambley Farm from Skinsaw Murders).

I can't wait for them to see The Misgivings.... :)

Hey Dalesman, if you need the d20pro files (maps with 4E creatures and room keys already good to go on the map), just let me know. I can upload them to my 4e project site in no time.

Also, if you or anyone wants a demo or training session of d20pro (30 mins demo, 30 mins Q&A) just email me: rivera.ga (at) gmail.com and I will be glad to assist. Oh, and here are some custom sounds & about 2000 character portraits for you http://www.divshare.com/folder/530743-d31

Thanks for the heads-up sir. I already have the portraits file, but I seemed to have missed the custom sounds - I just snagged those. :)

As I'm running my campaign in PF Beta, I don't think the 4e files would do as well for me - but I'm sure there are others using 4E rules that would love to see them though (and I wouldn't mind seeing what they look like either)!

Thanks again!

Sorry folks! I'll get those maps e-mailed out to those who want them later today..

I am in the middle of a move (cross country) and possibly house buying..

It's been hard to focus on gaming at the moment. But I'll send them out later, and a back-up to Tintagel..

Do you still plan on uploading the keyed maps you mentioned? Even if the ruleset is different, I'd love to see what they look like!

Also, are there any plans to have 'plug-ins' for the Pathfinder rules once they come out in August, or guidelines for setting them up on the d20pro forums?

I have created a spreadsheet that has all the info about locations in Sandpoint, the type of establishment it is, who owns/runs it, and notes on each location.

You can download it here.

Tintagel, your maps are AWESOME -- thank you so much!

I'd like to place a 5-ft square grid on them to use as battle maps, but I don't know how. Can someone either (a) tell me an easy way to do it myself, or (b) do it for me! :-) Thanks much, you guys are the best!

Their are some great community created maps for the first two chapters, but I am not seeing many for Chapter3: Hook Mountain.

I was hoping maybe someone fixed the Hook Mountain Clanhold(pg50) map and by fixed I mean made it with 5ft squares instead of 10ft. Its a great map, but those using a VTT can't use it with 10ft squares.

If not its still awesome how many other great maps the community has done.

My players are about to start through The Skinsaw Murders, so I whipped up an Interior for the Sandpoint Lumber Mill.

This was created in about an hour entirely inside Maptool. It was created overlaying Terry Dyer's great exterior map, so the dimensions should line up.

This map contains no original art. Most of the map uses Torstan's Dungeon Tiles, and the rest of the objects are pilfered from Dundjinni's user-art forums. I owe my deepest gratitude to the artists who post raw materials for maps.

Edit: As soon as Maptool includes a feature for exporting single maps, I will post it here. The real thing is far more useful, as you can manipulate individual objects, turn light sources on and off (I have much darker lighting in my version), pseudo-animate doors, etc. Posting my entire campaign file would violate the C.U.P. like you wouldn't believe.

Edit 2: No windows! How careless of me! They will be in the next version.

Same here.. I haven't ran my first MapTools game yet, but it is on the horizon in the very near future. I have been creating campaign files for Hook Mountain Massacre. Building Pathfinder RPG monster tokens right now.

Depending how fast you go, I look forward to seeing more your work.

Spoiler:
Also working with an online artist who is making rendered top down token art (not RPTOK files) for Black Magga, a representative turtle ferry, and Lucretia. Of course, I'll be using that art to make RPTOKs once I have the art itself. The artist's terms and conditions should allow me to distribute the art freely if I give him credit. However, the art is not finished yet, but this is something I hope to be able to contribute to other VTT users soon

I wanted to add one more accolade to Tintagel's amazing maps for the Misgivings. Your attention to detail has given one of my PCs a new phobia - mold! :)

In a hilarious bit of dialogue between said paranoid PC (who is a goliath cleric) and the elf druid in the party, he got asked why he was being so picky about how he was moving on the map. He replied by stating he didn't want to stand on any of the mold - to which the elf responded by looking at the map and asking "So where are you going to stand - in midair!?"

It made me laugh anyway... :P
Thanks again for some wonderful maps and works of art, sir!

Is there a worthwhile file posting site?

I have some VTT tokens I'd like to share (with proper credit). They're for use with Hook Mountain Massacre.

I decided to try a file hosting service used by some of the MapTool community for posting their frameworks.

I am offering some rendered tokens suitable for use with MapTools and other VTT platforms, from Hook Mountain Massacre. They are "top down" representations and in PNG format.

Specifically they include

1.) Black Magga, in three different depictions. They can be used to represent her rising from the water with only the head and neck visible. Also to show her mostly emerged from the surface. Finally a token to represent her fully crawling on land.

2.) Lucretia, in her native form wielding a rapier. WARNING: This one is Not Work Safe! Pardon the pun, but it's not over the top (rather there is no top), but you want to be aware of looking at it at the work place.

3.) A Turtleback Ferry in two styles. Modeled after the idea of an inverted giant snapping turtle shell converted into a large lake sailing vessel. There are two versions, one with a sail and one without.

They are available here

I personally arranged them to be made by artist Devin Night of Four Ugly Monsters for my personal use with MapTools. Per his usage rights (and those of Paizo's) I am distributing them for personal "non-commerical and not-for-profit" use.

Please enjoy!

I just downloaded these, Watcher, and they are great! Thanks to you and Devin Night for making them and sharing with the community! :)

I was tired of looking at the Sandpoint map, finding the building number, then flipping through the pages to find out what building it is. So I created a PDF where you can simply hover your mouse over the building to get its info.

Let me know how it works for you! I'd love to get feedback on how I could make it better/more useful.

I just checked it out.. Pretty cool.

Here's an idea.. I don't know if this is a feature available to Acrobat, but could you create a numbered list where the bookmarks are, and when you click on it.. the corresponding note pops up on the map.

That way you could search for a location by hovering, or click the nae on the list. The best of both worlds.

Because I've sometimes found the location in the descriptions before I find it on the actual map itself.

Don't know if that's possible though.
