I'm pretty sure it was on a thread that delt with artwork. But I have seen it and know what you are talking about.

It's in the Pathfinder Fan Art Thread on Page two, at least this is the one I saw. It's in the Pathfinder General category.

I think you're pointing me to "Charter of the Wolves of Sandpoint" which is awesomeness in and of itself. But I'm thinking of a little picture, yellow background, with the text from the module describing the benefits (+2 gather info/diplomacy checks in sandpoint, 20% off at Savah's Armory, etc.)

You're the best, thank you! (and Linkified)

Hm, Sandpoint Lumber mill would be fun to do, but my Wartle project is still nowhere near finished. So I think it would take like months for me to do it. I quess most of groups has finished it by then... Maybe I'll come to see if someone still needs it when my current project is ready.

Dataset of Burnt Offerings for DM's Familiar.

I think I may have a go at the Saw Mill myself this weekend and I'll add the DM Familiar stuff next update.

Turtleback Ferry by Russell Akred

Our group uses digital maps and a projector to setup our battle grid. At the start of the third book, I handed out the map that Russell Akred did of Turtleback ferry. The players loved it and spent some time in the out of the way shops in town. Later in the adventure I knew that there would be some changes to the town for the section titled, "Down Comes the Rain". I modified a portion of the Turtleback Ferry map to show the flooding and wanted to share the picture for others to use. It won't win any photoshop awards but it looked decent.

I've recently begun a project blog updating Burnt Offerings to 4th Edition at Tales from the Rusty Dragon. I'll keep the blog updated regularly, with new sections of the adventure added as soon as my weekly gaming group experiences them. Enjoy.

I have adpated a couple of logic puzzles and made them fit as best I can with the world of Golarian, written in an a Pathfinder form. Is this where we put such ideas? Or else where. My original post has sat unnoticed, possible my title is wrong. I just have gotten such great stuff from this community I wanted to pay back with some of my own work.

I read it! Well most of it. Logic puzzles and all. I am not read to Dm it yet. It was a bit long though...

Well I thought to give it to players as a hand out so that they could work on it while we played the main game. Often someone has some time out when the rest of the party is doing there own things in Sandpoint. Were off to the deal with the goblins next session but I wanted to put some possible future adventures out there, but not simple a "here there be treasure" but something requiring a little more thought from them. I think several of my players will like the mind challenge but in contexts of the world were playing in. They have been to Artfell forest and were the ones mentioned in the journal which I also thought would give them a little rise as they are trying to get famous, one wants to be a full fledged Pathfinder, our rogue Ethan.

But thanks for letting me know someone took a look at it.

Gr4ys,

I've used PosteRazor to convert a number of these fan maps to PDFs with 1" scale grid.

I've printed them out as battlemats for Burnt Offerings and the players loved them.

Would it be acceptable to put them online for others to use?

Gr4ys wrote:

I'm working on it now but will most likely not get the grid. I can try if wanted but I figured since it isn't really needed as a combat map I would leave it off.

Okay I am not sure how useful this will be but I finished the exterior for the Sandpoint Lumber Mill.

Rob Lazzaretti did a wonderful job on the map of Sandpoint but when I looked closer at the mill it doesn't have a waterwheel and isn't really set up to have one other than it is on the water. I took quite a bit of liberty trying to get this somewhat workable and hope it helps. Still working on interior.

I think people would find that really useful and I don't think any of the creators would have a problem as long as they are credited.

Great start Terry. I think your changes work fine.

I have started this as well (but will probably stop now). I found loads of useful lumber, gears and stuff on the Dundjinni web site. Actually you may well be using some of the same ones, the wheel itself certainly looks the same.

I also recommend posting your finished version on RPGMapShare or similiar site so people can download a high definition copy.

I look forward to the finished version. My group are in the Catacombs of Wrath at the moment so no pressure...

Yep, most of my items on the map are some form of art from the great forum of Dundjinni. They have tons of things wich is great because I'm terrible at making something from nothing.

Hi, I'm planning to run this AP soon for a PbP game and am absolutely thrilled at what folks are offering. However, I cannot for the life of me download anything from mediafire. I've played around with cookies, tried different browsers, but nothing works.

Would it be possible for some kind soul to upload these to another server? I'd be very grateful.

Thank you!

I run my campaign using Fantasy Grounds 2 and so I have modified all the maps for Burnt Offerings to remove the room numbers and other DM stuff (e.g. hidden tunnels, secret doors).

Assuming Paizo don't mind and someone has some space to upload them I am happy to share? Any offers of space?

Just for clarification I am no graphics expert and the modifications are passable. Don't expect beautiful seamless graphics... actually that makes them sound worse then they are!

Terry Dyer - any luck with the Lumber Mill yet?

I definitely could use such maps. I printed out the goblin battles listed above today, but I'd love to have other maps with all the hidden stuff...well hidden...removed.

I'm not sure you will be able to print them out at a large scale with any sort of quality as I use them online and so have them as relatively small jpeg's (approx. 200k). Also in Fantasy Grounds I can slowly reveal stuff to the players so secret doors I have changed to blank walls but the passage on the other side are still there.

Saying that you are welcome to them. However I don't want to clog this thread up with loads of people asking me for a copy. Please does anywhere they can be posted and then I can provide a link to them.

Heya, I know someone was working on a custom GM Screen. Any chance that got completed? Seems like it would fit in this thread somewhere!!! :)

Scarab Sages

Hey guys. I scanned the maps of Varisia and Sandpoint at 600 dpi from my printed module. This is about 5x as high of resolution than we get from digital download, and I did it for a reason:

I placed the maps into Google Earth, as overlays, and TO SCALE. Now, you can zoom into Varisia, seamlessly explore the region on a globe, and also do the same for Sandpoint.

In fact, my Sandpoint overlay takes advantage of Google Earth's placemark feature - allowing me to create a key of the town, with points of interest and everything.

Download the placemarks from our campaign site

You can also watch this Youtube Video if you want a better idea of how this works. Note that I recorded the video using Fraps, which didn't capture the placemark text for some reason. Trust me though, the placemarks have paragraphs of information.
Youtube Video: Rise of the Runelords on Google Earth

Scarab Sages

I should also note that only 4 placemarks are up at the time of this writing. I will start detailing more of the town if there is interest.

Oh, and Google Earth is FREE.

This seems like the place to add this...

It is approximately forty miles from Sandpoint to Magnimar. Along the Lost Coast Road there are numerous villages (about every five-six miles or so). From Sandpoint to Magnimar, the villages will be encountered in this order:

Hardney has a smithy and a small herbalist shop. A large hill called Blue Tooth Tor looms over the village. The hill is said to be hollow and once home to a sapphire mine.
Morton’s Gale is dominated by a statue in the main plaza of an Angel of Death missing the right (sword) arm.
Swanspike has a moderately sized inn called the Gargoyle’s Cup. The village also boasts a wheelwright and a small flour mill. The village holds a monthly market throughout most of the year.
Detmond has a rather nice inn called the Three Hawks – it caters mainly to travelers on horseback and has a sizeable stable, farrier, and even a horse-trader. The village holds a small temple to Abadar honoring Saint Foursquare, the Patron Saint of Caravans and Wagons (represented by eight-spoke wheel).
Whirty has nothing of note except a ruined watch tower that is said to be haunted.
Gullskald is home to the Black Fish Inn. The Black Fish is a moderately sized inn, but has a somewhat shady reputation. Most folk in the village make their living from gathering sea bird eggs and feather from the nearby cliffs. The village is also home to a beacon to warn ships away from the treacherous shoals and rocks that pose a hazard to shipping.
Rhelmardin is built amid the ruins of some great dwelling (presumably Thassalonian). Structures in the village are made of large ill-suited stones and assembled in a very haphazard manner. The village has a very evil repute and the inhabitants are singularly lazy, slovenly, and shifty-eyed. Many of the folk of the village are misshapen and deformed from birth. Insanity and cruelty abound here, and the local Under Sheriff, Sir Teffrin Ardmoor (Chelaxian, LE-Ftr5), is hard pressed to keep the populace in line.
Lostspear is hardly more than collection of farms. Most folk here conduct their business in Magnimar. The village is home to an abandoned metal works.

This is a work in progress...and contributions are muchly desired.

Ok, against my better judgement, I decided to redo the Sandpoint Glassworks. Previous maps (module and fan made) used the original diagonal layout, and it kind of bothered me when setting up for miniature play. Also, I felt that the original map was very uneven and made for some problematic areas when snapped to a basic grid. Also, all of the maps were a little too low resolution for me. So I made my own!

At any rate, I put way too much time into this one. But hopefully, folks will appreciate it and I won't get sued by Paizo. The detail is as good as I can make it. Original map done in Dundjinni with lots of Photoshop post-processing.

Note that I did make one major change: I chose NOT to put curtains over the windows because it made lighting in the building problematic. I think it's more successful visually without curtains. However, the windows are frosted glass and the interior is dark, so PCs won't be able to make out anything from outside. There should be no need to make any changes to the adventure by using this.

Without further ado:

Sandpoint Glassworks (2900 x 3800) JPG

P.S. Paizo, you should consider selling high-res battlemaps for your APs. Folks will pay!

Thanks Thelesuit, it was a lot of work.

A much easier work was putting together this list of rumors for Sandpoint into a Powerpoint file. The rumors came straight from Scott's Rise of the Runelords conversion blog.

Why did I do this? Well, for a few reasons:
1. It's more cinematic and convenient to show my players a couple of slides at the beginning of the game session.

2. I can print handouts of specific slides (6 slides per page), cut the squares out, and have instant rumor cards. Edit: here is a PDF of cards, pre-made.

3. I put in a randomize macro into the file (go to macros and run it) - which shuffles all the slides in the show so I can have random rumors at any time. Some repeat of course, but so do real rumors.

4. I can put in DM notes into the Notes section under each slide to note if the rumors are true or false, or to jot down any other notes I wish.

Here is the Powerpoint. You may get a warning about macros, but that's the randomizer one. No worries. You must enable macros if you wish to use that feature.
