with voting done it's...

Legendary Games, Necromancer Games

I cant wait to see the final results. And I know this for certain: who ever wins surely deservs it.

This contest was hard.

Yeah, but it was fun for all of us who got to read the entries and vote. Thanks to the judges and all 32 participants for all of NPCs, countries, monsters, encounters, and adventure ideas to steal. Too bad we only get to buy one...

Liberty's Edge

Good luck you guys!

I might be wrong but I think we'll be seeing more than one of the finalists in the credits of future products ;-)

At least that is what happens in this kind of contests...

The more the better :-)

boring. . .

The contest has had everything: ingenious ideas, amazing writing, great editing, wonderful commentary, fascinating competition. . .

What to do now?

Or perhaps something even more meaningless?

I've enjoyed this contest from its inception. I submitted to it in a moment of clarity in the otherwise scattering of my attention over a half-dozen projects and subjects. I was shocked, surprised and pleased I made it into the top 32. I faltered and succumbed to an old flaw; focusing too much on history and not enough on the 'now' in my country and thus fell on the wrong side of the cut. Those contestants that went on in the other rounds produced some truly great things and each round brought more ideas and spawn further ideas in my mind. Some I yoinked for immediate use, others went into my vast collection of 'Net stuff' to be used later. ALL the entries were good. As Clark said in another thread I too doubt I could have reached the final 4 let alone win it all. I'm certainly hoping Paizo will do this again next year so I can get a chance to try.

Though it has been said many times on this board by many different people but Paizo and this community that has grown around it is one of the best on the net. Here I feel as though my comments aren't just text swirling in the eddies of a digital flood to be washed away unheeded the moment I type them out. I like coming here just to read the threads.

Paizo you are THAT good.

I know. You're right. Day after tomorrow, we need to break the RPG Superstar habit until further notice.

For ingenious ideas, amazing writing, wonderful commentary, as well as camaraderie and competition, go to the rest of the boards.

Paizo rocks!

Paizo does indeed rock, but as someone with a full-time job, two kids, two active D&D campaigns and one active convention campaign to run, trying to follow the Paizo boards in any manner is like being handed the Atlantic Ocean in a cup when all you wanted was a shot of tequila.

That's why I liked superstar - it was a small, focused part of the Paizo boards that I could actually follow. "All d20 discussions" is just WAY too big of a topical area (and ignores the Dragon, Dungeon and Pathfinder areas, too).

'Small' being a relative term, in this case meaning "only containing about 8,500 posts."

Crying?

Crying!?!

There's no crying in Superstar!

No matter HOW badly Christine (or Jason or Rob!) beats me, I'm just glad to have been part of this amazing, wonderful experience, and to have shared in it with so many amazing voters, competitors and gamers of all stripes.

This has been a dream come true!

DANG! Hurry up already! I've got work I'm ignoring!
