Hi folks I'm living in Germany and just stumbled over the really fantastic Pathfinder series. I already bought the first issue some weeks ago, but now I found out that issues #2-#5 re not available in Germany any more.
Is there a planned reprint of those issues or did I miss my chance to collect this adventure path as print versions?
Thanks for your help

They've got 1 to 5 on amazon.de
i don't know if that helps.
thanks for the tip, but unfortunately there is a small note below these articles that they re not available anymore..
edit: ok I checked it again, there is a version on stock but it's much more expensive than in any other german online shop I checked nevertheless I would like to know if a reprint is planned ^^

The only one that's out of print is Pathfinder 2. The rest are all readily available—your retailer just needs to encourage his distributor to place a reorder with us.
We're evaluating the feasibility of reprinting number 2 (which is what tonton was talking about), but even if we do reprint, it will take a couple of months.
By the way, we go to great lengths to minimize shipping costs. Have you actually tried putting a few Pathfinders into your cart and seeing how much shipping will be? You should be able to ship up to about 5 Pathfinders for under $7.

Are any reprints still in the (potential)works?
After an enlightening alignment discussion on the boards, I wanted to buy these adventures - very good business strategy, by the way! :)
I was looking for the print version of Pathfinder #1 (Burnt offerings) last night. The cheapest I could find was $80 used.
That was too much, so I went against my preferences and bought the pdf.
#2-#6 weren't too hard or expensive to find in print editions, but if #1 was reprinted, I might still buy the print version anyway.

Have you tried Amazon.com?

Good luck with Amazon, twice I ordered PF #1 and both times my order went months until finally they just emailed me and said, nope, sorry not gonna get it. luckily a friend had it and didn't plan on using it so he gave it to me.

Yep. It's out of stock (essentially) at all amazon outlets, with the least expensive marketplace sellers asking around $80.
There might have been one or two slighly cheaper from private sellers at amazon.de, but my German is rusty, and it looked like 20 euros for the book and 23 euros for shipping.
edit: I also tried bookfinder.com and google shopping, with no better luck

You can get the PDF's from Paizo and no shipping.
Not the same as having the books but you could read/run them with PDFs.Vic Wertz Chief Technical Officer |

We did reprint number 2. That experiment confirmed that reprints aren't viable, as retailers showed limited interest (even when the other volumes in the series were still available).
You should add 5% new content, including one piece of cheesecake/beefcake art, and call it the "Director's Cut edition." Also include some broken magic item that is wildly inappropriate for characters of that level.
Sheesh, you guys are really bad at bilking your customers. You can make the payment of my cut of this scheme in Bella Sara cards.

I vote for a compiled hardback version a la The Shackled City. I have all the individual books, but I would still buy the hardback version because its just that good, that it would be worth having in a more durable form.
if it included player's guides and other related info (if any) I would probably go for that too.

If there were ever to be a Paizo Customer FAQ, this should definitely be on it. This idea comes up every 6-8 months, and the general response is that it is problematic for Paizo on a number of fronts. First, it puts another major book on their already overloaded editorial staff who, as I understand it, work approximately 95+ hours per week and occassionally bleed from the eyes as they do their work. Second, it trains their customers to postpone purchasing the adventure path on an on-going subscription basis because they can always wait and buy a more complete hardbound version at a later date. That's problematic for them from a revenue perspective because it breaks up the stream of cash from the subscriptions and risks turning people off from that option altogether. There may have been other reasons mentioned, but those are the big ones that come up whenever this idea is floated.
Now, that being said, given that there is a new rules set and a significant amount of time has passed since the first few adventure paths were released, it strikes me that an updated version of the pre-PFRPG adventure paths using the PFRPG rules might mitigate some of the problems relating to customer expectation. However, such a project probably increases the burden on the editorial staff, who would effectively have to re-write and re-edit the whole adventure path from scratch and then hope that it sells well enough (and likely at a $50+ price point) to justify the efforts.
It'd be cool to have the hardbound volumes, but I don't think it's something that is being actively considered by the good folks at Paizo for the reasons above.

I bet a lot of them would stick with the subscription if they were told they'd need to wait upwards of two years before the compilation is put together.
But really, there's no reason you can't have a fully-functional adventure path. Even if you can't get ahold of an original printed copy of an adventure, you can always purchase the PDF. And then, if you really want that hard copy, you can simply print it from the PDF file on your own dime. It might come out more expensive than just buying the printed product, but it might be your only option for a physical copy.

I had not considered this from Paizo's perspective. That all makes sense.
For me, the printing is not so much the issue as the binding. Does anyone know of an inexpensive way to have the pdf printed and (reasonably well) bound?
