Yeah. I don't know how I'll feel when my little civic dies. (A study recent showed how much men are generally willing to pay to be reunited with their first car (or a close facsimile). It was surprising.)

Ah. I was thinking 'Brits don't drive. He posts at the wrong times to be an Aussie.' Somehow, Canada slipped my mind.

My son is a paladin. He's lawful good.

My daughter is chaotic good. So, I'll say bard. I don't see her in a sorcerous pact with some kind of dark powers.

Bard would fit 'charmer' better, too.

But sorcerors aren't fiendish. They're dragon blooded. WotC gave pacts to Warlocks.

Perhaps she's just a highly charismatic Rogue with several ranks in Diplomacy? Have you noticed lots of little things going missing around the house, perhaps? Do small items in grocery stores and toy stores magically make their way into her small hands? Not yet, you say? Just wait...

As a father of a 3-1/2 year old and a 2 year old, I have full empathy for you on the accident, my friend. I'm glad you and your family are okay. That's the only thing that matters in those situations.

A rogue with diplomacy? That could be. Or a beguiler. She certainly seems quite adept at getting me to pick her up. Sometimes I don't even notice when I do it. I just find myself carrying her and don't remember how it happened. I've seen other people succumb to her powers as well ...

Yeah, we are all okay ... a bit stiff but probably okay. That is the main thing.

Right. Dragon blooded. I think I got sorcerors and warlocks confused. It will take me 4ever to figure this all out.

Hey gang!

Okay, so...

I signed up a while back to play in a Conquest of the Bloodsworn Vale PbP, but unfortunately, our DM up and vanished, never to return (second time that's happened to me as a PbP player).

After some discussion, I have agreed to take up the mantle of DM over there. I can't handle running another AP, but a single module is doable.

BUT... I haven't read Conquest of the Bloodsworn Vale, so I have instead decided to run Entombed With the Pharaohs.

Which brings me to the reason I am posting over here. I'm recruiting more players, and the members of my other PbP games get first pass. If enough people show interest, I will run multiple parties through the adventure simultaneously, as teams competing for the goal of the adventure. The module is uniquely suited for that. I haven't entirely worked out the mechanics of how I'll set up play threads yet, but I'm working on that.

If you're at all interested, go here

I've finally opened my invite thread for my CotCT PbP. Obviously, anyone here would be welcome.

I hedged my bets on making it into Lilith's game (which I didn't) and had Nevynxxx reserve a spot for me in his game. It just got underway here for anyone interested in following along. I'm playing Istas.

I'm working at getting a 3.5 PbP game for younger players together. Check it outhere. We've had interest from 4 players but only two so far have statted up. If you know any possible players between 7 and 17 (well, 17 is probably a bit old for this game ... let's say 13) then let them know about it. I'm going to allow new players to drop in as the game goes on.

I hate to ask this question, but are we still on for this game? The last meaningful GM post came on March 3rd...two weeks ago. Lots of other posts in between, but nothing that's moved the story along. Has your workload totally consumed you, Sean?

I think we're still on. I know I'm still checking. Sean?

Yeah, I'm really sorry. I haven't abandoned you. In fact, I sat down to make some serious posts yesterday, and the whole window I had available to me was entirely eaten up by goblins taking over Paizo.

Again, I'm really sorry, everyone. I'm still here, and will carry the game forward tonight. If it is any consolation at all, I don't ever get to play in RL any more. Maybe once every couple of months if I'm lucky. This is the only gaming I get on a regular basis any more, so I promise I'm not going anywhere.

Since we're still in a holding pattern, I was curious if you might be willing to let me adapt Jessa to a specialist diviner using the new Alpha playtest rules for the Pathfinder RPG? I'm not suggesting that everyone cut over to the new ruleset. Rather, what I had in mind was to specifically just change Jessa and then see how that plays alongside non-adjusted 3.5 classes and creatures during the course of level advancement throughout RotR.

Since the PRPG is supposed to be backwards compatible, I think this might give Paizo some useful feedback as well as the full conversions a lot of people are doing in their games already.

Thoughts?

I support the idea. If barbarian were in the alpha, I'd consider the same thing.

I do hope we get things going soon though. I'm in four PbPs and running one but Mitnal is my favourite character. Dayenn Naight has some appeal. Rall Kirnast hasn't come into his own yet. Smokey Bogwash is more of a joke.

Visit my PbP sometime. The young guys are just starting but they seem to know what they are doing.

I really, really regret to have to say that real life has totally entangled my every waking hour...I've tried and tried to rearrange my schedule to no avail. Everything is ok, I just do not foresee having any spare time for quite a while. To be fair to the rest of you guys I must resign my position. ...sorry.

I'm sorry to hear that, DF. I really enjoyed Gengar in the game. It's hard to see him go.

Meanwhile, it seems as if the whole game is dead. Real life must have Sean pretty well entangled, too.

We do seem to be at a bit of an impasse as a party...

Contributor, RPG Superstar 2009, RPG Superstar Judgernaut

Okay. I'm officially beyond worried about this game. One player had to drop out due to real-life...though, it's not like DF couldn't keep up with the posting rate, seeing as how we've been at a dead-stop for a long time now.

What worries me more than anything is that despite repeated assertions from Sean that he'll carry the game forward (and not just this game, but the other two that he's GMing as well), we've yet to see such a post. In fact, it's been 22 days since the last in-character GM post. Apparently, players in his "Age of Worms" game are also wondering what happened to their game.

So, out of curiosity, I checked Sean's most recent posts just to see if he'd been active on the boards at all. Interestingly enough, he has. He's made 22 posts since his last one here stating he'd move our game forward (which hasn't happened, of course). And, of those 22 posts, 18 of them were in the Alpha Rules Playtest forum discussing a range of rules mechanics...and the other 4 posts were all made to his most recent "Entombed with the Pharoahs" game that he recently started.

So, in light of that, I've got to respectfully ask the question, Sean...if you've got time to put up that many posts (many of them quite lengthy) discussing those topics...why haven't you been able to post something to this game? Did you lose interest? Originally, you had requested all of the players commit to a daily posting rate. So I assumed you'd be commited to something similar. Granted, I know real-life gets in the way of lots of things...but that doesn't seem to be the case, given your ability to post elsewhere on the boards.

So what's the deal?

Please keep in mind, I'm asking because I LOVE this game and these characters. It's one of the best groups I've joined in quite sometime. So I want to see the game succeed. I just don't understand why it isn't...

Sincerely,
--Neil

Neil - While it does not solve the issue of this game, in my Desperate and Brave game, I have gone from 6 players down to 3, maybe 4 players. One of those characters was played by D.F. and he resigned that position when he resigned this. You are welcome to join that game (as either DF's gnome or another character) if you want. If you do, read through the game so far, post in the Sitting Duck thread on this Forum, and we can work out details. If you don't, that's fine too. :0

I appreciate the offer, Wicht. I really do. At the moment, though, I'm not really suffering for a shortage of gaming. That's not my primary concern in this situation.

You see, I had hoped to join a very active, long-running RotR and CotCT PbP campaign here. Sean's game is my RotR game...and I recently joined Nevynxxx's CotCT game, which is going fairly well. But if this game remains at a standstill, I won't necessarily go looking for a different one...unless it's another RotR game. It's possible, I may even choose to start one of my own instead. Who knows?

But, in the meantime, I'm very much interested in seeing this game continue. Because I very much enjoy playing this specific set of characters (i.e., Jessa and Blackwing). I just don't understand why we're at a standstill. Hence, my questioning...

Gotcha.

And I agree, the characters for this game are pretty nice.

Guys, I *LOVE* these characters, and I love this game. I was bummed D.F. had to drop out.

Unfortunately, I work freelance, and starting about a month ago, my phone has been ringing off the hook. It's making me unhappy (regarding my PbP games, I'm very happy about being called a lot and making money) and I want to talk about it with all my PbP players.

I need everybody from my various PbPs in one place. Please all go here:

Due to a confluence of work, personal and health reasons, I'm afraid all my games are now indefinitely suspended. Which really means they are over, I think.

I'm sorry. You guys have every right to be mad at me for both the constant broken promises and the abrupt end. It's okay, I understand. I'd be upset too.

I really liked all the characters in all my games, and liked how the play was going. I think you're all great roleplayers, and the has been some of the best gaming I've ever played. I was really looking forward to where each of these campaigns was going.

I've got nothing else to offer, except my sincere apologies.

Please, everybody take care, be well, and good gaming. Each and every one of you brings a superior level of play to any game you play in. There's no hard feelings on my part, and I accept and understand if that's not necessarily the case in return.

I'm not leaving the boards or anything, but I doubt I'll be posting very much for a while.

Sorry gang. I'm really sorry.
