Kerflop I posted a link to some of those in this topic. I didn't create these ones but I plan to use them as I won't have time to create my own before we play that bit.

If you like, I can send you my Dundjinni original files of the Glassworks. Then you can doctor mine up without starting from scratch.. It might save you some time.

That would be great. Yours are more in proportion than mine for some reason.

Please mail them to iamgrays at googlemail.com

Wehn I'm back from the US I'll take a look at them. Cheers.

Wow. I am absolutely blown away by what you guys have done.

Just spent a little while playing with Photoshop and Posterazor to get these scaled to print 1" squares and printing on multiple sheets (I'm probably dense, but I can't believe there's not a simple option for that from Photoshop!). I've printed a test sheet from the middle of the glassworks, it's a perfect fit for minis or counters, and it looks amazing.

/me hands around the virtual beers

Thanks for sharing your hard work!

I am most likely getting to the glassworks tomorrow and want to print the map out in multiple pages at full 1" grid size. All I have is GIMP and an entire messageboard full of folks better at this stuff than me. Any suggestions?

Hi Grays. Very nice work, as I've been following your posts over at Dundjinni. I've been working on DJ maps for my games as well, using them for a tabletop projector. I don't print them out, instead using Photoshop for projection and fog of war effects. I'm a bit ahead of you, having run the Glassworks, Catacombs, and Thistletop already, but I'd be glad to share in the efforts.

A lot of what I have are rendered duplications of the maps provided in the modules, so I doubt if I'd be posting them here. But if you want to email me (my username at gmail), maybe we can figure something out.

GIMP has options to set grid size and print size. On your image window, go to Image->Configure Grid. The middle "Spacing" section lets you set width and height (of the grid) in pixels and inches. Just set the number of pixels you want for your preferred display size on screen, and enter 1 inch for the printed size.

Now turn on GIMP's grid lines, and resize the map by trial-and-error until you get the map's grid to roughly align with GIMP's grid. Since you don't have to be accurate down to the pixel for printing, it shouldn't take long.

All you need to do next is to chop up your map into sections of about 8 x 11 grid squares for printing on normal-sized paper. (Or in logical sections by rooms, if you prefer.) Print and enjoy.

Rockin'! Thanks, man!

Sorry I'm late with this.. I am an absent minded git sometimes. They're on their way.

Thank you Watcher for the maps, thank you Lilith for the downloads.

Hope this trend continuous for the rest AP :)

No problem Watcher. Just got back from the US today so haven't done anything for a few weeks but I will take a look this week.

Thanks, everyone, for the brilliant stuff on here. It really is awesome, and will add hugely to the flavour of the campaign.

Gr4ys, just a suggestion. I wondered if the house map might be more efffective if done in night colours, given that the encounter happens at night. But a beautiful series of maps, and I am so glad you're sharing this stuff: I just spend 90mins drawing the glassworks onto squared vinyl so I can only imagine how long that work must take you.

Absolutely amazing!

Keep up the good work everybody!

Can I please get the latest set of maps? stephenkbittner@cox.net

Thanks!!

I have compiled a list of Community created stuff and Paizo updated maps here. Go the end for the most up to date list as poeple keep submitting more great stuff.

I however have been a bit slack recently, busy at work and we have finally started playing Burnt Offerings. So finding little time for doing much else. Excuses, excuses..

Was the Monster in the Closet event at night??? For some reason I assumed it was early, the event having happened 'last night' or very early in the morning, dawnish?

However it would be easy to make it darker assuming I have the time... watch this space or actually the link above for an updated maps.

for Thistletop

Lintan_at_work@hotmail.com

my group play's use virtual table top software 1 22' wide screen monitor for the player to watch and a labtop for the dm.

Links to pictures of Watchers Dundjinni maps are at Community developed stuff topic then you can download them.

Please go to the end of the topic and work back for the latest list of stuff.

Watcher! wrote:

I probably shouldn't say this..

But I did Dundjinni maps for a lot of Burnt Offerings. The Glassworks, Catacombs, and the three layers of Thistletop.

I'll probably doing them for Chapter 2 as well.

Problem is, under the current EULA of Dundjinni (which the admit they need to revise, but are slow and sluggish apparantly to do), it can't be posted on a website for public use. I used a mix of homebrew, and user based artwork and their proprietary artwork.

They're not perfect maps, but they're good approximations of what is in the books. Once I got to Thistletop I realized I was burning a lot of toner, and my maps started becoming lighter colors, less intense images. But I was kinda proud of the Glassworks myself, I was disappointed it didn't get more use for the time I put in it.

I'm not sure the difference between e-mailing these maps directly to someone, and posting them on a website.

See what I'm getting at? I don't care that much myself, just don't want to get a hassle from anybody (like a Dundjinni cop).

Post something if you're interested.

Please can you email maps to: feitelberg@absamail.co.za

Last night I scanned in the Burnt Offerings at a 400 dpi then scaled them up to 1" per square at 100 dpi. Threw a paint daubs filter on them in Photoshop to kill the dot pattern then selected and placed them on a letter sized page one room at a time. Printed them and cut them out. Now I'll have battlemaps for those levels. Should work well for Skinsaw too.

Please, oh please, if they're still available: sultan (at) dorkistan dot com.

I redid the Sandpoint Glassworks mostly because I thought it was a problematic map (too many diagonals) and it was just screaming to be given a high-res version.

I originally posted it on the Community Created thread, but I thought since this thread deals specifically with battle maps, it would be appropriate.

At any rate, I put way too much time into this one. But hopefully, folks will appreciate it and I won't get sued by Paizo. The detail is as good as I can make it. Original map done in Dundjinni with lots of Photoshop post-processing.

Note that I did make one major change: I chose NOT to put curtains over the windows because it made lighting in the building problematic. I think it's more successful visually without curtains. However, the windows are frosted glass and the interior is dark, so PCs won't be able to make out anything from outside. There should be no need to make any changes to the adventure by using this.

Without further ado:

Sandpoint Glassworks (2900 x 3800)

Here is the Sandpoint Glassworks Basement. I will probably hold off on doing too many more maps for Burnt Offerings, since they are pretty much done already - unless I just get the itch to remake one for fun.

I really need to just make myself start work on Skinsaw murders...

Glassworks Basement (1700 x 1300)

I have to say, your map of the glassworks is absolutely stunning!

I'm trying to figure out how I can use without emptying the work printer of toner though :oD

MapTool!

Scarab Sages

Heh, I use d20pro. Love it.

We use Fantasy Grounds 2. I like it and customisable (if you're in to that sort of thing) but haven't tried any of the others.

MapTool is free! And customizable! MapTool FTW!

Hi, me again..

I don't suppose there's any chance you could create a version of this with a 1" grid overlaid on it is there? It would great if you can, as I have neither the software nor the skills to do it and I'd love to be able to use a copy of this for our next session.

Once again, many thanks for all your hard work.

Tintagel,

Love the map. I wish you had been around a long time ago! Heh, I've since run the Glassworks twice with my old maps.

Awesome work, I hope people appreciate it.

Folks,

I got out of the map business. :) Sorry. The links are available if you search the thread. For the glassworks I would recommend Tintagel's awesome new maps.

Does this mean you can't send along the dundjinni originals do undeaddan (at) mac (dot)com?

Sorry, I didn't make myself clear - my request was directed at Tintagel. His Glassworks map is brilliant, but it doesn't have a 1" grid on it to make it easy for minis.

I can probably add a grid by hand, but I just wondered if it was easy for him to add a grid over the top of his existing map, using whatever software he used in the first place (I think he said Photoshop).

Thanks again

Scarab Sages

Added a Grid-lined version of the Glassworks.

Dan... hmmm... I got real busy at some point and I don't come to the boards as often as I used to. I'll see what I can do. No promises.

Gamemeister, I knew who you were talking to. With maps like those available, I wouldn't mine either. :P

Anyway, I was replying to some of the posts up above.

Watcher, I hope my addition didn't come across as rude. I certainly didn't want to hijack a thread or anything. This thread deals with combat maps for RotR, and I hope others post theirs as well. I just want you to know that I think yours are perfectly fine - I'm using your catacombs map for example. I just thought the glassworks was a bit problematic and needed some adjustments.

Thanks Tintagel, much appreciated. Where can I find it?

Oh I agree with you. And I didn't take any offense at all.

Last easrly September was when I first started running DnD 3.5, and when I made those maps I really didn't understand the implications of having the Glassworks main floor be set on a diagonal like that. It was a good lesson in design. :)

Thanks for the nod of praise. It was amatuer stuff, but I appreciate it. You should continue your fine work though! Many Rob Lazaretti's maps are fine, but there are places that are left to the GM to detail out.. and some of his are off-scale. The community could sure appreciate your expert touch up!

Tintagel, can I use the barren hills for my PbP map? If so, what kind of acknowledgement do you want on the map?

Also, what would you see the scale as being?

Well, I didn't make that map. A guy named Cisticola did it. I host two other artists on my Mad Mapper site - him and Supercaptain. All the content there is covered under a Creative Commons Non-commercial license - which basically says you can use it for any non-commercial purposes, even make modifications.

Thanks for asking, and I hope you enjoy it. As far as scale, he doesn't specify, so make it whatever fits for your group!

Great. I'm going to add some caves and a grid to it and put a URL for the original on it. I'll be uploading it to photobucket later for my players to find. What kind of software did he use to do it?

Another french player who need your talents and... your battlemaps...
Links... or anything else tied with this fantastic campaign...

my email is warhawk@laposte.net

Gaheran, Misika and Etherion.

All the maps and stuff developed by the community are on this topic. At least what I have found so far...

Go to the end and scroll back for an index. (*Edit: The latest one is Jan 25th on page 3). I update the index every now and then (when I feel it needs it). I will probably do it again after Tintagel finishes his excellent Misgivings maps.

Some how I cannot access my old email account.

Is it possible to get at new set of the maps at martingaarsted@msn.com?

Cheers!

/Martin
