Seeking out a PbP group...

I've been searching the Play-by-Post threads, and have not found any groups that appear to have open slots for additional players. I have never played a PbP game, but am looking for a new gaming experience that would allow me to roleplay from the other side of the DM "screen". Are there any PbP games looking for another player, or one with potential for a new character to join in?

Check out Dreamweaver's Shadows of Keeper's Dale game. A player just left from there, and he may allow you to join.

I'm running RotRL over on the UnlimitedRPGs site if you're interested. We've got a ranger, cleric, soulborn, and (sometimes) a paladin, so some arcane support would be nice...

I'm not familiar with that site. I'll go check it out.

"Arcane support" ... would a warlock or binder be welcome?

Alright...
I've been intrigued by the idea of PbP gaming, and I think that I would like to try it. However, I'm a student now and don't have unlimited access to computers (as I suppose some might at their jobs). I've been meaning to ask, and this seems like a good place, so...

How often is one expected to post? I know that some will post more and some less, but about how much does it take to participate? This would be the main thing holding me back, as I can't get on the internet until the afternoon, and then have homework/etc to do.

I don't have Tome of Magic, but a Warlock would definitely work. The specific game forum is:

*D&D Pathfinder* Rise of the Runelords ~ DM Erian_7

The site itself is simple as far as PbP forums go, but I can access it through the firewall at work (unlike some of the bigger sites like Myth Weavers and RPoL).

As for the question on post frequency, you'll find that varies by game. I prefer about 1/day at least, though of late my own RL items have prevented me from posting that frequently. When I can, I'll actually post 3-4 times/day per game I'm in...

Thanks; I'll see you over there.

They're lots of fun. Some DMs have a posting requirement and some don't. Usually at least one post a day is expected unless there are special circumstances (vacation ect). Also If you have a day or two every week that you can't post most DMs will be okay with that.

Alright, thanks for clearing that up... Now I just need to seek a game...
