Pathfinder or Modules for something other than D&D?

Lost Omens Campaign Setting General Discussion

I was just wondering, I know D&D is the major draw for RPG's, but do you think Paizo could also write modules for other genres as well? I mean D20 Modern (or Future) isn't getting any love or support from WOTC. I'd love to see the guys at Paizo put out some clear consistently good adventures for these systems. Wouldn't White Wolf, Hickman Productions, or C&C like adventures made for their systems?
I was thinking that it would be great if Paizo could make Item Cards for Sci-Fi & Modern settings as well.

Green Ronin (True20) and Troll Lord Games (Castles & Crusades) are supposedly going to do conversions of Pathfinder for their readers.

If we ever do a d20 Modern supplement it will be in support of the 4e version (assuming they make a 4e version and assuming we switch to 4e).

But yes, I've been agitating for modern/sci-fi cards since we put out Item Cards Set One. :)

If we do a D20 Modern adventure path... it'll be it's own product. Pathfinder is the swords & sorcerery D&D style version of the adventure path, and that's not gonna change.

As I am currently running a d20 modern campaign (a mixed Shadow Chasers/Dark Matter style setting), I would love to see a few stand alone modern sci-fi/fanasty style adventures.

I also would not mind seeing some modern setting flip maps or something similar.

Me too! You can kind of repurpose the town ones, but those only really work well for old European cities... :\

How about an Expedition to Barrier Peaks (without the Barrier Peaks reference) style adventure path which involves some group of evil nasties (or single foe) planning to unleash sci-fi horrors on a fantasy world.

You always said you wanted to convert it over. Do so in a Games Mastery Module and change enough of the content so that you are not infringing the OGL rules.

We would do it in a module, but not in Pathfinder. :)

I would like to throw in a 'me too'. I would love to see your talented writers whip up something for Modern, Sci-Fi and Supers genres. I know of at least one that is itching to do some Sci-Fi. (evil grin)

I would love to write a D20 Modern module. I'm working on a module for a kickass D20 space-adventure game called Bulldogs! right now. The game's name is Bulldogs!, not the adventure.

Linkie: Bulldogs!

The adventure is tentatively titled Cold Black. Very excited about this! Course, I gots to finish "Edge of Anarchy" and "Hangman's Noose" first. URRRGH!

I've been writing crazy Shadowrun adventures for years and I even submitted a few ideas to Fanpro, but got the reject. I'd love to write a dark modern D20 adventure or three...droooool.

Oh. Right.

Carry on!

What about Savage World conversion rules? Savage Worlds seems to be the best RPG system I have seen in a long time. In particular, it lends itself to online Virtual Tabletop Gaming like no other product. I will express my disappointment that there were no sidebars or data to help with playing with soon to be more popular RPG systems. Without such I would not find nearly enough use out of the material.

(giggle) You don't get out much, do you?

So James are you taking submissions for D20 Modern/Future modules?

Didn't they just say they weren't going to do them until 4e, when it comes out and if they switch to it?

We are not. If and when we do... it'll probably be several years from now. Modern/Future stuff is pretty far down on our to-do list right now. In that it's not even on our to-do list.

Wow, I wasn't expecting so many responses, especially from the Paizo staff. Anyways I can see why sci-fi would have to take a backseat to D&D (RPG bread & butter). Still it would be cool to have an Aliens type survival scenario against killer teddy bears :)
I think though that sci-fi Item Cards would be well received. Bullpup SMG, lasers, masers, gravity guns, cybernetic implants, nightvision visors, sensor gauntlets, etc, etc. What items would you like to see?
