Desna Excerpt

Lost Omens Campaign Setting General Discussion

Wow, that excerpt got me excited for pathfinder #2, and #1 hasn't even shipped yet. That one little snippet captured so much, tying three gods together, and at the same time underlying the theme of nature being hostile of the pathfinder setting.

Indeed, my favorite thing about the gods [and the Core Beliefs articles] are the myths. Tell your players that Desna is the goddess of travelers, dreams, stars, and luck and that's all fine and good. But have an old woman tell them [in game] an old myth about Desna, and BAM! Your players know exactly WHO Desna is.

Defently. Pulling the history and detail of a god through actual game play brings more to the experience. As well the players will remember better in my opinion.

BTW 99% of that previewed bit is directly from the Desna background material the Paizo guys provided me. Shows they already have a great attention to detail and a lot of neat linkages planned out for the world.

A flask of shoanti quartz dust, eh? Try this: JPG (12 kb)
