The 10NL damage is already factored into the 18hp I have left. So I realy have 16hp left but 6hp before I fall unconsious. Sorry that it wasn't clear in my profile. I'll fix it.

Male Human Fighter 2/Sorcerer 1

"Well, will you look at that?! One of 'em is gittin his balls up. Time to draw some blood!" ::grins evilly::

Male Dwarf Barbarian 2 / Fighter 4 / Exotic Weapon Master 1

Well, I can't let Spartacus have all the fun.

I'll Drink my potion of Bull's Strength, and move to 09 (making a tumble check to move normally over the wall.

Tumble Check (1d20+9=25)

I have updated my profile with the effects of Bull's Strength

Sorry to nit pick but I just read this.

When you are mounted and use the charge action, you may move and attack as if with a standard charge and then move again (continuing the straight line of the charge). Your total movement for the round can’t exceed double your mounted speed. You and your mount do not provoke an attack of opportunity from the opponent that you attack.

Does this mean that I wouldn't have provoked an AoO from Vanin?

Once Rurin has taken his turn (so as not to hold things up):

Spoiler:
Garash will cast Bull’s Strength on himself, sharing the spell with Bitey. Garash will then move forward to space R6. Bitey is moving with him, ending up in space Q7.

Yup, you are correct sir. Wish I had the 2 rules-lawyers in my group to lean on like usual. They can quote rules with a page number with no problem. Seems like this has been a little messy.

Please adjust your profile to reflect this.

Reflecting the moment required to clamber over the low wall, Heinrich is actually only in square E7.

I always understood this to be like Spring Attack where you need to move afterward to gain the benefit. It is worded pretty vague...

But then, I'm in the stands eating my popcorn.

He actually attacked at 10'(lance is a reach weapon) out from Vanin then moved adjacent to him so he did continue his move after his attack.

Male Human Fighter 2/Sorcerer 1

This is gettin' all kinds'a interestin'!

Rurin is up.

Male Gnome Bard 1/Cleric 2

The gnome's eyes widen as Vanin takes the mighty blow and he quickly scoops into his scroll case and steps over to his wounded ally, making use of the item to restore his health.

5-foot-step to D9, drawing the scroll of CLW and casting it on Vanin. Someone will have to roll the healing total for me as Invisible Castle is blocked at work for me. :(

Rurin fails to intone the words to their full effect. 1d8+1=2
Vanin is healed of 2 damage.

Garash's turn: Garash will cast Bull’s Strength on himself, sharing the spell with Bitey. Garash will then move forward to space R6. Bitey is moving with him, ending up in space Q7.

Spartacus is up!

Vanin is healed of 2 damage.

Suckage. At least I tried! Also, Spartacus is my Dodge target, making my AC against him 26 (not including cover, which I guess would make it 30).

Male Human Fighter 2/Sorcerer 1

"Finish the priest, Spartacus!"

Lance attack and damage rolls (1d20+11=15, 1d8+6=11)

A miss. I take a 5-foot step directly south.

Logan and Nilgaar

Spoiler:
You hear a sound coming from behind the arena door you are next to. It sounds like a portcullis being opened followed by a scurrying.

Logan is up.

Male Human Fighter 1, Monk 2

"We need to take out the mounted warrior and regroup as quick as possible!

We might have more company soon..."

Logan reloads his crossbow, and takes aim on Spartacus...

A solid hit! Not as deep of a wound as Logan would have hoped.

Male Human Fighter 2/Sorcerer 1

Nilgaar curses to himself, "What new wrinkle have we got here?! Some cowardly double cross?!"

Yelling to his closest allies, "Garash, Jathali, there's somethin' comin' outta these doors. I can hear it! Be ready!"

Vanin takes another swing at Spartacus and connects solidly this time, knocking out the mounted fighter.

"Huzaah, the wicked shall fall!"

Vanin attacks Spartacus:1d20+9= 24, 2d6+9=20

Spartacus is down with 32 lethal and 10 non-lethal damage. Spartacus needs to roll to see if he stays mounted (75% chance).

Nilgaar is up.

Male Human Fighter 2/Sorcerer 1

Nilgar gets to his feet letting his crossbow dangle from the Lanyard attached to it and moves further into the arena while uncoiling his chain, grapsing it in both hands, and taking a few teasing swings with it before he gets to R-2.

"Watch them doors, boys!" he yells to his allies still standing. "Holy pig crap! That was a wicked hit! Looks like, ol' Sparky may be done for."

For False Arenamaster only:

Spoiler:
I've always used Lanyards in my games, leather straps attached to light and hand crossbows to allow you let go of it and let it dangle from your belt without having to leave it behind or drop it when your in a rush to switch weapons. However, it's not the PHB, so if you don't want to allow it, I'm good with that. If that's the case, Nilgaar lets it drop in S-3 right before arming himself with his spiked chain.

Upon seeing Spartacus downed, Heinrich lets out a resounding cheer, and throws his fist in the air, hoping for crowd support. Emboldened by the current good fortune, he moves at a good clip along the arena floor, anxious to engage his opponents.

Hustle over to square M7.

Male Dwarf Barbarian 2 / Fighter 4 / Exotic Weapon Master 1

I drink my potion of Enlarge Person (will update my profile), and move to Q6-R7.

False Arenamaster wrote:

My turn to nitpick.

12 From Vanin, 5 from Logan, 20 from Vanin is 37 lethal, with 10 non-lethal. (Same effect, different numbers that might matter later.)

"Ar, dem horse boys like ta play 'ero. Never be da firs' ta charge I reckon"

I think you just trod on Bitey - Garash' wolf companion is in space Q7

Male Gnome Bard 1/Cleric 2

Rurin frowns, pulling another scroll from his pack and intoning it upon Vanin once more.

Yet another scroll of CLW on Vanin: 1d8+1=7. Much better this time.

I missed the 5 from Logan, your numbers are correct.

Jathali pick a different location to move to, Bitey is in Q7. You could move to O5-Q6, or Q8-R9 instead.

Garash is up.

I’d like to give Jathali a bit of a chance to adjust his movement – his position may effect my action. I’ll post within 2 hours either way.

Sorry Spartacus, I don’t see any way I can get to you and heal you this round (or possibly even next) – you’re just too far away, and with a guy with mean reach standing over you. The way I see it, I’d need a full round movement (run) to reach you, retrieve a scroll, and cast a spell, suffering at least three AOO on the way…

DM is making a call: Jathali moved to Q8-R9. His movement position would have been on top of Garash and Bitey.
Garash and Bitey are next.

Garash moves to space N2, whilst Bitey moves to M3. Both are careful to stay out of the reach of the enemy human’s polearm.

Once there, Garash casts a spell.

Spoiler:
: Magic Fang on Bitey.

For Nilgaar and Jathali:

Spoiler:
:I’ve tried to keep a path free should either of you wish to engage Heinrich next turn. If something comes through the door I can potentially still go back and deal with it if you two are on Heinrich, but this position also may allow me to deal with any of the Goodies coming down this side next turn.

“What’d ya hear at da door?” Garash asks Nilgaar. “Ar, neva mind, we’ll deal wid it later, let’s take dis guy wid da big stick down. Shuldn't be too ard.”

Spartacus need to roll to see if he is still in the saddle (75% chance) and a stabilization roll to see if he stops bleeding.

All the arena doors open with a loud grinding noise. The form of a large centipede is visible through the middle door's opening on the red side of the arena. A similar form can be seen in the shadowy doorway of the western most blue side door. Both of the creatures turn to look into the arena for prey......

The large monstrous centipedes go on initiative count 17.

“Huh. Centimapedes. Stole me trick,” mutters Garash, trying to rack his tiny brain for what he may know of such vermin.

Knowledge, nature check = 1d20+2 = 19

Spoiler:
Trying to recall particularly how fast they move and what sort of poison they use.

“I’ll take it or you lot can, up ta you. Can’t emapthasise wid it tho.”

Garash.

Spoiler:
You know they can scurry around faster than an average man (40') whether on the ground or on walls, ceilings, etc. Their poison is a poison that numbs the body of it's prey (dex damaging). They have darkvision and are vermin.

Male Human Fighter 1, Monk 2

"Foul arena masters of Hades! There had better be a large purse to the victors after this damn trick!"

Logan hurdles over the low wall, and positions himself between Varin and the other team.

"Tend to our large friends wounds, we will need his strength soon, I am afraid."

Logan reloads his crossbow.

Spoiler:
Move to F9 - at worst, I count it at 5 of my 6 squares of movement - in order to give Varin *chuckle* cover.

Standard action - reload crossbow.

Thanks for that. I forgot to check where they moved to.

Stay in saddle roll (1d100=91)
I stay mounted, but without me to guide it, my mount will avoid combat. Fake Healer should decide where my mount runs off to.

And I don't think I need to make a stabilization roll. I have 37 leathal wounds and 39hp. I'm unconscious, not dying. But just in case I missed some damage somewhere, here it is:
Stabilization Roll (1d100=18)

You are correct Spartacus, you are only unconcious.

Male Wood Elf (+2str,+2dex,-2con,-2int) Druid/4

Blue centipede skitters forward on its multitude of legs towards the first thing in the arena that draws it's attention and tries to deliver a bite with its mandibles, missing the agile human. moves to E7-F8 and bites at Logan.

Red centipede scurries over the low wall towards its first visable prey, a very large elven monk, attempting to take a chunk out of his leg. moves to S8-T9 and bites at Jathali, hitting for 1d8+1=5 damage. Jathali needs to make a DC 11 fort save or take 3 points of dexterity damage.

Vanin is up.

"Thanks, friend; I'm feeling much better."

Vanin reaches into his pack, retreives a scroll, and casts it upon himself.

Vanin casts a scroll of Cure Light Wounds upon himself: 1d8+1=8.

Also, I beleive the centipede provoked an attack of opportunity from Vanin. If so, here is the attack: 1d20+9=28, 2d6+9=21.

(wow, should have saved that one for the evil guys...)

"Hang in there, Heinrich; We're coming!"

Contributor

Here's the The Fake Arena Map so we have it on our current page.

Male Human Fighter 2/Sorcerer 1

"Now it's fun time!"

Nilgaar charges Heinrich, ending his movement in 0-6. He has a -2 to AC, but +2 to his attack roll.
1d20+6=17, 2d4+3=8
Whacks him with the chain, but doesn't draw blood.
