OK, random.

I was in the woods taking reference photos this afternoon, when an elderly gentleman appeared out of nowhere. I was lining up a shot of a junked car, when he hollered from about a hundred yards away, "Hey, sonny, wat'cha doin'?" Considering that I had my camera and tripod set up, I spent a while debating with myself on whether or not to give him a straight answer. However, by the time I had reached a decision, he was gone.

Today a man was skinning squirrels in a wooded culdesac at the end of my street.
The police showed up real quick, I guess the knife he had was a little big and freak out some of the neighbors. Strange and Random.

Hey! I'm a tea drinker!

I only drink coffee with donuts when I feel the need to act like a over-the-hill NY cop with family problems and 'attitude'. But that only happens from time to time -I can't help it!

Yesterday morn I was also out taking photos (but of dirty derelict buildings and those ‘in-between’ places that you're not meant to go) -which is something of a hobby of mine. (Urban exploring etc)

While hunting around under a main road (flyover type one) I found some hilarious graffiti! it read: EMO FOR LIFE G! and I burst out laughing –causing an echo. Then -hearing a noise I spun around to see a man walking his dog who both looked at me like I had escaped from somewhere a bit scary (I have a skinhead now and have been dressing in old school skinhead clothes lately, like bleachers, bomber jacket, braces and DM's) he walked away backwards and then when I went to see where he had gone –he’d disappeared completely, obviously getting out of there quickly in case I was dangerous or something (which I’m not of course) but it was a bit funny and a little sad. :)

Graffiti! Perfect segue:

Check this out: Linkie.

Seems ok, not spectacular, until you realize he's not painting. He's CLEANING the tunnel. Using the whitespace under all the soot to make an ossuary.

Thats fantasically subversive and fun/cool! :)

Today Shiny, AWED, and myself were investigating (wrongish word but whatever) the odd cars in the woods that Shiny was taking pictures of. All of us got these weird vibes like "Go away" and "I hate you" and stuff. AWED had to cut his expedition short he was so weirded out. You'd think that it would be one of us feels it and everyone else goes "yeah..." Instead, halfway through the trip someone went "I'm getting some weird vibes." "You too?" AWED didn't even say anything about vibes until I talked to him later (I believe it was "I just felt I had to leave..."). A truly surreal experience.

Do different types of cockatrices turn their victims in to different types of stone?

Liberty's Edge

Some of the best insults I've ever heard:

- Calling you dumb as a stump is an insult to trees.
- Flakier than a leper colony
- You're so dense, your cranium has an event horizon.

Daigle wrote:

Yeah, it would be cool, like, if there were a sort of real rare diamand cockatrice that turned you into diamond, that everybody sought...

Hey, thats MY idea!

You know, if cats had wheels, then you could have cat races! Groovy, huh?

Don't be mean to the kitty. Tsk tsk.

On the other hand, wheels don't have claws. The positive reprocussions on furniture would be fantastic.

I think it's Paraelemental. Right between the planes of water, earth, and infectuous disease.

Isn't there a paraelemental Plane of Ooze? Heathy, make sure that isn't Green Slime coming out your nose.

It's snowing in Dallas Tx on Thanksgiving day. Well--more like freezing rain, but there's big sticky gobs of snow falling too.
Won't stick; it's only 46 degrees fahrenheit.

The opposite's happening in Ticonderoga, NY. Raining and 28 degrees. No snow.

In Pueblo, Colorado, it has been snowing all day and hasn't reached as high as 15 degrees yet!

I like peanut butter

Snowed all weekend here in ABQ; not constantly; but on and off; been colder here than in NYC; hehe, I like it but all the natives are restless :) The sun has been shining a lot and almost all of the snow has melted; love looking at the mountains when they are all colored with snow; sigh, prolly wont get snow again for a month or so.

I'm seriously consitering buying this 3D program. Does anyone out there know of any jobs that I could get as a intermediate computer modeler/beginning animator? If anyone wants to see my works so far check out this link

Breaking baubles
Throwing garbage
Drinking soda
Looking happy
Taking pictures
So completely stupid
Just go away

I got me some Thin Mints at the mall. It's just not the same, though. When I order them, they're my cookies; I conceived them like a father.

Buying cookies from a stand... it's so tawdry.

How's this for a surreal sight:

I ate dinner with some friends this afternoon at a local bar and grill. Upon leaving, I noticed that about a dozen of the bar's old regulars were crowded around a big screen TV, watching Harry Potter.

*doik*

I had to see this. After about ten minutes, I finally realized that every time someone in the movie cast a spell, everone did a shot of whiskey. I live in a bizarre town.

I was perusing the Urban Dictionary and saw:
"HOBOSEXUAL--the opposite of a metrosexual; a person who cares very little for his appearance."

I prefer "EMOSEXUAL" : a person (usually male) that goes far enought toward the extremes of the "emo" (emotional) dress/attitude/mannerisms so as to appear androgynous. (Not from Urban Dictionary. It's local slang.)

I believe you invented that local slang to describe some of the local people.

Not less funny, though. I know someone who will love "hobosexual."

I think it was one of those convergent things. I've since heard it elsewhere.

Demogorgon has a splendid temple palace in the Himalaya mountains where every five years the fates and genii are all summoned to appear before him and give an account of their actions. They travel through the air in various strange conveyances, and it is no easy matter to distinguish between their convention and a Witches' Sabbath.
