Okay, Wulf, you fall and will need to take a round to get up (succeeding in a Ref check). Davos?

All of them deity outsider 50/god 50/raving psycho player-killer 10 (PrC)

Hello?

M Half-Elf Cleric 1/ Necromancer 1/ Druid 1

I don't know what happened. I'm still in, by the way.

I'm still here, awaiting my turn (although I probably can't do anything)

Read.

Davos? Hello?

If he doens't post by the next time I do I shall NPC him.

Davos aims his wand at the nearest skeleton and lets loose a Magic Missile.

1d4+1: 2 damage

All of them deity outsider 50/god 50/raving psycho player-killer 10 (PrC)

OK, Dantis?

I decide that while I can't seem to hurt the things I might still be able to help my new friends. I tumble forward to the back of one of the skeletal things so as to limit the places it can go when evading one of my friend's attacks "Someone get it already."
I move to the closest skeleton that is engaged in melee. Tumble 21

All of them deity outsider 50/god 50/raving psycho player-killer 10 (PrC)

Dantis, you succeed in tumbling into the way of the skeletons fighting the mages. Both slash at you, one missing by inches and the other by a mile.

Wulf, the two turned skeletons reach the back of the chamber, and the two that were advancing reach you. The one you were fighting attacks, cutting into you for only three damage.

Arik moves forward slightly to attack one of the skeletons with his rapier and hits, but seems to do little.

All of them deity outsider 50/god 50/raving psycho player-killer 10 (PrC)

Sorry, Lucien you're next, then Wulf. Should have been in my previous post.

M Half-Elf Cleric 1/ Necromancer 1/ Druid 1

Lucien advances slowly, his flail cutting a wide arc through the dusty air. The weapon's heavy stone head impacts one of the skeletons with a dull crunch, dislodging a chunk of bone.

Attack: 17 + 2 = 19; damage: 5

All of them deity outsider 50/god 50/raving psycho player-killer 10 (PrC)

You hit, dislodge the hunk. Wulf?

Male Barbarian/3

My deepest apologies to one and all, due to some major changes in my living situation, I've recently lost my computer and internet access. I'm posting this from a friend's computer right now, so I highly doubt I'll be able to do any posts within the foreseeable future. I've enjoyed gaming with you immensely, and I am very sorry for having to drop out this way. Thanks to all of you for letting me be a part of the group.

Apologies again. -Wulf.

Bummer. Well, I'm sorry you have to drop out. I hope you'll be able to come back at some point in the future.

Male Human Bard 3

i am back to play again since math is getting better. Sorry to hear about your computer troubles Wulf, hope you can get it fixed soon

Sorry to hear your leaving, it's been fun. I guess we need another meat sheild now.

M Half-Elf Cleric 1/ Necromancer 1/ Druid 1

Well... Here I am...
/Firefly reference.
Note: not in response to previous post.

All of them deity outsider 50/god 50/raving psycho player-killer 10 (PrC)

OK. Sorry. I've been hugely busy, and when I haven't I've been kind of intimidated about trying to get this going again. But I'm making an effort now. That is, if you guys still want to play. I think that it will have to be a lot less combat and more RP. Sometimes no combat when I get very busy. Just keep that in mind. I do know that I officially declare the above combat over, dammit. So, just post back.

I stand ready to engage in bravery, adventure, and skulduggery.
Glad to here you're able to post more again.

M Half-Elf Cleric 1/ Necromancer 1/ Druid 1

Man, I thought I was going to be waiting forever!

Cool. I'm still in.

All of them deity outsider 50/god 50/raving psycho player-killer 10 (PrC)

Three's enough to continue. Visiting relatives out of town tommorrow, so that will give me enough time to figure out what new direction to take this. Maybe I'll figure it out by morning... I'll try to post tommorrow morning.

You're not out of town, you're all the way across the damn country. Calling going from Ticonderoga to Seattle is like saying World War 2 was a minor scuffle.

All of them deity outsider 50/god 50/raving psycho player-killer 10 (PrC)

OK. The undead are scattered about the floor of the tomb in heaps. Finally As you take inventory of yourselves and your surroundings, you notice the gemstones that Dantis had seen earlier encrusting each of the sarcophagi. Any one with a 15+ spot check also notices:

Spoiler:
Clutched in the hand of one of the fallen undead is a tattered scroll.

"That was fun." I say and after a moment of not-so-careful consideration, I pull out my dagger and try to prize one of the more valuable looking gems from its resting place.
Failed my Spot check

All of them deity outsider 50/god 50/raving psycho player-killer 10 (PrC)

It takes some effort to get a few gemstones out, and your blade is scratched by the stone, but you have your shiny rocks! Would you like to appraise them now or later?

This seems somehow familiar... *DETECT EVIL*! *DETECT EVIL*! SMASH THE GEMS!

All of them deity outsider 50/god 50/raving psycho player-killer 10 (PrC)

Lucien, your detect evil reveals that there is some evil, possably necromantic force, waning from the gems and the bones. In a few minutes they will be normal.

You missed my irony, didn't you.

"Well then. We'd probably be best moving on. I am quite anxious to see what other eldritch mysteries this ruin holds..."

All of them deity outsider 50/god 50/raving psycho player-killer 10 (PrC)

No one made the spot check? One sec and I'll find a die so I can roll for Arik or Wulf...

I admire the stone, polishing it with my cuff and trying to determine it's value.
Rolled a 2 for Appraise.
I slip the gem into my pocket and look around, inteding to pry as many stones of the sarcophagi as I can.
When Lucien speaks I regretfully say "Alright, let's be off then." and I follow him.

Davos begins methodicly searching the room from corner to corner.
Taking 20 on my search check: 23.

All of them deity outsider 50/god 50/raving psycho player-killer 10 (PrC)

Davos, you locate the scroll (spoiler above). The parchment is covered in a curving script that none in the room can read at first glance. DC 25 Decipher Script if you know elven...

Male Human Bard 3

spot-1+10=11 darn it, Arik doesn't notice the scroll that davos picked up Arik looks around to see if he can find anything else search-2+14=16

All of them deity outsider 50/god 50/raving psycho player-killer 10 (PrC)

Arik, you find nothing but bones.

All of them deity outsider 50/god 50/raving psycho player-killer 10 (PrC)

This game's never going to get back on it's feet without players. Davos, you have a scroll. What do you do?

I'm still here, following Lucienne once he goes deeper into the ziggurat.

All of them deity outsider 50/god 50/raving psycho player-killer 10 (PrC)

OK then. Just don't anybody forget the decipher script check above

Travelling further into the ziggurat leads you down a dank passagerway. Moldy torches sit in their holders lightless, and mildew stains the walls. The passage opens into a chamber, slightly smaller and wetter than the one you were in before. A single brazier sits in the center, illuminating the writing covering the walls, cieling, and floor. A sense of foreboding fills you to glance at the murals accompanying the runes, they depict a bloody battle between horrific monsters that resemble twisted mockeries of humaniod life and comely but cold beings of almost terrifying beauty. And all around them the curved runes scrawl what must be a description or story to accompany the pictures.

I look around "What the hell are those things?" I ask, pointing nonchalantly at the disturbing art on the walls before poking around the room, looking for something of more interest than runes that I can't read.
Search 25 (19+6)
