Mmmm......bbbbrrraaaiiiinnnnnssss.

Spoiler:
Oh yeah, and welcome to Lady Lena.

hehe welcome to paizo boards; we are all a pretty good group here; but you might want to go back in history and read a few threads there is one were we all more or less introduce ourselves, but now most of us put stuff on our avatar profiles so you can read by clicking avatars; also, there are a few wrong word type spelling that will bring down a bunch of playful and not malichious popcorn throwing such as incorrectly refering to make-up laden theif type character.

I invite you to join the Untitled thread where we all have a good time playing more or less rednecks and as mine is redder than most, I hang out there a lot with that mangy dog Heathasomethingwere and a few others; is mostly a goodtime semi rollplaying thread that is well worth reading from the beginning to get the feel of the environment; it aught to make you laugh or at least let you know if you want to post in that environment hehe.

The rant thread is a good one to just to unload and vent steam and the cool thing about these messageboards is that you have a wide variety of skills, training, and specialties to pool from and can ask and get help or pointed to a resource on many topics. We pretty much run the gambit and will discuss most anything.

again; welcome oh; and if you are boored; wrong word type stuff for fun and see who speaks up; it is one of my favorite things to do.

How come no one was this nice to me when I started posting here?

Oh, Valegrim, it's bored.

Well, my husband (Angusking in the message boards) just called me a Paizo junkie, so I must like it here.

My wife has now forgotten my real name; she just calls me "Paizo-Head." She also mentioned that she wants to get a dog and name it Paizo... I assumed that was an attempt at non-gamer humor, and let it pass.

Well welcome to the boards, I'm fairly new as well but in the short time that I have been here I sure have had fun, I think u will to.

Hello m'am...

I'm Ultradan, the resident Super Hero. Just call out my name if you're in trouble, and I'll swoop in on my handy-dandy super scooter and rescue you (as long as you're in the area of Montreal Canada!).

hehe the more bored you are the moore ooo's you need in my book; hehe and well, frankly your not a shining example of feminine beauty so you were prolly treated more like a Morlock :)

Lilith, you are extrememly talented! Your work is beautiful. And as my father is an artist, my mother is an illustrator and my daughter is attending the Seattle art institute, I'd say I can judge fairly. Me? I can't even draw a straight line...really, my garden doesn't have rows of veggies, it has squiggles of veggies. You are truly blessed, I hope it takes you far.

I can't seem to find the "untitled" thread

Hey, belated "Welcome Aboard". Don't be shy. Put on a helmet and get out there. and have fun! Quote from obscure (or not) 80's metal lyrics or the almighty Pythons or other comedy troupes/movies/stand up routines/ etc. There's always room for more insanity on the 3- 5- and 7- word games...

alrighty then (placing helmet firmly on head) here I go! Though, it seems to me that if we'd actually worn our helmets when we were supposed to, we wouldn't be as derranged (sp) as we are now.

I see that you found it OK. That's good. We need more good'ol folk over thar. You've just got to watch, though because there's a gremlin that attacks the "untitled" thread on occasion.

um, being new, would the gremlin you were speaking about be what changes my words? I don't normally speak with tis's and untos. Unless I seriously need to up my coffee intake.

Liberty's Edge

Isn't it smurfy?!?

What? It's not just me? (stops guzzling the coffee straight from the pot) Oh.

Thanks! *blushes* Trying to make it go far, but it's a slow process.

Time, pressure, and patience make the diamonds lilith. Someday you will shine :)

Also, I am odd. As evidence:

That was fun.

Forgive my lateness, milady, but difficulties with my system have prevented me from being a consistent part of these discussions for a couple of days. I have now noticed your post and respond forthwith.

Welcome to the Paizo discussion board. I too am a recent addition (just at the beginning end of March) so I understand your reticence to “dive in” without trepidation. Be assured, from my personal experience this fine group of gaming lovers are polite, educated, erudite, gregarious, friendly and (not least of all) patient. You are in good hands. Be at your ease.

oh; and erudite means scholarly or with learning which is weird because the Latin and Middle English roots mean rude or unformed, so E plus rude plus itus or ite hence unpolished and the like; whereas, erudition implies knowledge learned through study and scholarly pursuits. hehe hmm I better stop here :)

According to Webster's 11th Edition Collegiate Dictionary 'Erudite' means "possessing or displaying erudition".

Erudition: "extensive knowledge aquired chiefly from books; profound, recondite, or bookish learning.

As if it isn't obvious, I play Scrabble.

Quote Valegrim and Actaris plus;
.

Erudite:
.
1)Learned
2)Scholarly
3)Knowledgeable
4)Cultured
5)Intellectual
6)Widely read
7)Bookish
8)Academic
9)Studious

We could go on, but...

I didn't really forget, I was merely paying passing homage or deference to parsimony; brevity being, I am told, the soul of wit...

No Elvis, Beatles and Rolling Stones on 1977! No future! England's dreaming!

Bit of a Clash gal myself. (I have been known to do a threadjacking or three in the past.)

Cosmo, don't you hate being the last person to make a post? I always go over what I typed repeatedly to see if I was insulting or dorky somehow.

Hello, i saw this up on the boards, and i thought it would be a good idea to introduce myself.
I am a major geek, i am obsessed with star wars and love to discuss role playing.
My favorite video game series is the legend of zelda. (though I think Halo was pretty sweet)
And I am very new to the boards, though I have been reading over my mom's (Lena) shoulder for months.
please feel free to correct my errors.

Nice to (sort of) meet you, Alien Spawn. Always nice to see a new face on the boards. I would point out that when you are referring to yourself, you should capitalize 'I'.

Welcome to the monkey house, punk. Don't mind Arctaris, he's a professional typist (j/k). I never came in here and introduced myself but respect you for doing so. Personally, I've been here about three months (ed: ok, maybe more), so far as I can remember, making me pretty new, too.

Your mom must be happy to have such a polite kid.

BTW, there are probably a bunch of people interested to hear what you think about Gleemax (on another thread), seeing at it appears to be marketing itself to a younger generation of gamers. And what we all want to know is, does it give you seizures, too?

Please feel free to correct my typos, too, Arctaris.

=)

I'm not a proffessional typist! It just bothers me when certain grammatical rules aren't followed.

Arctaris wrote:

In the 90s I went for almost a year sending casual e-mails without capitalizing "I". I wonder if it annoyed anyone?

Spoiler:
And how many Fs are in professional, Arctaris?

Greetings Alien Spawn! And a far too belated greetings to you too Lady Lena! My Obsessive Compulsive Paizo Boards Checking is really failing me lately...I even missed a thread where the Pett-Logue rivalry is brought up and compared to Elvis and the Beatles!!!...sad.

Hope you and your mom are enjoying the boards so far alien! The collection of people posting here is first rate, top-notch, and above and beyond. Paizo Peeps are the finest in RPGs in my opinion, and these boards are a sorely needed respite from a whole lot of internet crazy going on out there. Thanks everybody for making the boards a great place to be!

If you really want to fit in you should start a thread about how evil WotC is, or about how there's is no room at all for 4th edition.

I know. I threw that out and....nothing.

I thought I was losing my touch.

Same with Logue or Pett.

I beg to differ with you, Heathansson. Not everyone is either an Elvis guy or a Beatles guy.

I despise both Elvis and the Beatles equally.

Well, that's cool. To every hard and fast scientific principle, rigorously tested in controlled circumstances, there has to be at least one exception.

Don't sweat it, dude, I teach literature and writing and I can only get diarrhea and parallel right half the time.
