Is it just my and my expectations or is this game going really really slowly; seems we walked into town; had a short converstation at the smithy; went to the tavern; had a meal; had a extra terrestrial visit; walked to the church. Is this pace normal, seems the other games have a lot more posts?
No. It's pretty slow. Really. Part of it is just the number of posts, which have been pretty few and far between. It makes everything take longer. Part of it too, is that the game has started pretty quietly--in a fairly peaceful town rather than in some grisly battlefield or steaming cavern (done intentionally, mind you, to encourage some good roleplay rather than just stabbing things).
So yeah, atypical. I get the feeling the air is kind of going out of this one. I'm looking forward to running it as long as people post--but it might do you good to shop around for another game too if you are looking to get more of a taste for what play-by-posts are usually like.
I've been enjoying the game as a story, not as an encounter every three posts game. I think people might be confusing PbP with WoW. If we're giving up then say so I guess is my point.
I am not giving up; heck we are just getting started; was just wondering at the pace is all; am totally unfamiliar with this style of play and was just considering our post frequency as compared to others in the play by post section; I certainly vote to continue and have no desire to stop.

If you are starting a new game my wife is looking for a game to start in. She has never played before PbP or PnP so is you are willing to be a little patient with her I am sure she would love to join.
