Upon further reflection, I realize I didn't exploit my Buzzcocks story above for full name-dropping value. At this same party the original (?--early anyway) drummer from Blood for Blood tried to stab me. Also, one of the guys from Isis tried to pick a fight with me by calling me a f*+#!$.

Long before discovering the internet, I have been a successful troll. Hee hee!

Was that back when you had the protection of the orcs? Perhaps you may want to rethink your current choice with the Lost Guy.

Anyways I am listening to Snow Patrol right now. But has anyone heard the cover of Led Zepplin's Immigrant song by Trent Reznor and Karen O? I like it.

I hear mice. We have recently discovered we are inundated with mice. There's a definite nest with young in it (I can hear them squeaking) but can't find it. I've set traps all over the place; the classic "Victor" brand traps, whose design has remained virtually unchanged for decades. They are so sensitive I can tap the floor next to one and set it off. But somehow, the little bas****s can clean the peanut butter (or any other bait) completely off the pan without tripping it.

I may have to burn down the house.

Is that an indie band? The album title reminds me of that Fiona Apple album a few years back, and it's nice to see a cover of a favorite Talking Heads song made the cut.

When I was a kid, I grew up in an old farmhouse. One winter we got rats coming in from underneath the floorboards. My dad would sit on the toilet with a .22 pistol loaded with "rat shot" and shoot them when they poked their heads up through the hole in the laundry room floor.

Good times.

Bob Dylan--Blood on the Tracks.

Yeah, well, this album's awesome and shiznit, but there seems to be some kind of conspiracy to have no official versions of these songs on youtube. There's millions of Random Joe Schmoe playing each and every song on the album, and there's some live footage of highly varied quality. I don't have the time to go through it all, so I'll just leave you with what sounds like an alternative take of Shelter from the Storm.

But the album's fantastic--easily in Bob's top 5 best, and perhaps the world's top 100. Well, top thousand anyway...there's a lot of awesome albums!

Not sure drunken_nomad, my wife is South Korean. She mainly listens to k-pop and the other the stuff just seems to end up being played. I could imagine Jay Chou being pretty popular as he is played regularly on the Asia Pop radio and television shows here in Australia.
