I just had a trip down memory lane watching the Last Unicorn and Flight of Dragons back to back, but a nagging image is stuck in the back of my mind from my early childhood (which would make the time range the early 80's).
I'm remembering an animated movie, in which there is a scene involving a dragon (oriental, not the hildrebrant-esque western dragons from Flight of Dragons) who is wounded/killed/something and then the dragon's body crumbles/petrifies/something away revealing a beautiful woman inside. The animation may have been western or anime, but if it was anime I beleive is was the old school Ninja Scroll style of high detail and for the most part realistic proportions, rather than the Speed Racer BESM style.
I realize its not much to go on, but do any other of us "old fogies" (I can't beleive I got called "old" last week! I'm 26!) know what this movie is? Or am I just tripping and there never was, and I'm just channeling some bad pizza from the age of white tee-shirts and jeans on Coke commercials?
