I'm always amazed at the level in which we can stoop to sell something with such an incredible markup with such a low value. Cheap poorly painted plastic mini for $75.00 where the markup above cost is what? .. 100x the amount it took to produce it. (yay for cheap chinese labor.) And yet they can't keep enough of them in stock.

Insane!!

Ill take 3.

Crazy, isn't it? Same prices all over, pretty much. I usually buy my singles at Popular Collections, and they have the same kind of prices.

I also know a friend who's buying 4 cases of Blood War on Friday. Has no one thought of (gasp!) using a 'substitute' miniature, if they don't have a matching one on hand? Oh, who am I to talk? I'm buying a case on Friday myself ...

Thank God for golf balls, pipe cleaners and spray paint. Beholder = $1.75, more if you use a Pro V1

You pay for golf balls?

Isn't a free-market wonderful?
If they couldn't sell tham for $75.00, I'm sure that they wouldn't charge as much.
And it's important to remember that a golfball and pipe cleaners, no matter how nice the finished product looks, is not acceptable for minis tournament play, so if you want to use a beholder, you will track down a beholder.
If you think it is too much, don't buy it. If no one buys it, the price will come down.

$75 is a small price to pay. Please.

It's a real baby beholder they send you, right?

When I was a kid my mom paid twice that much for one so I'd have a friend but my cousin kept poking at it with a pencil till one of its eyestalks bent and it died. Saddest day of my life. I buried him inside a tennis ball. Ol' Jeepers.

Ever since I lost my diving certification and couldn't go fishing them out of the pond by the driving range any more....yes....

But I buy the cheap ones at Walmart that are like $8 a dozen. With my game, it pays not to get too attached to them.

Actually, the baby beholder is a lot more. For $75 you only get the Chia Beholder.

Oh, man, I *want* some of those. Not for me, but for my nieces and nephews, just to see the look on their parents' faces . . . ^.^

That is so true.

If it was, like, 15$ I'd buy one.

Oh, and does the Beholder in question have one of those things to put incense in so smoke comes out of its eyes? For 75$, I'd hope so.

That would be awesome! I'd get that incense burner. It would have to be one that burned the cone incense, though, I don't see the stick incense working too well with a beholder incense burner.

I hope it's the Chia Beholders you are referring to. Children shouldn't be allowed to play with disintegration rays.
