Not fair! I can never turn down these sort of things! Argh! :)

Is it really approximately 8" x 5"?

Oh...and look ... it's going on sale right around my birthday...

Scarab Sages

I can only agree....
Told my FNHS about it, and them order me one as soon as I saw it in Dungeon. Been waiting for something like this, now I can clean up all those post it notes on my computer.

Some photos of how your structured the inside pages would be helpful. I'm not quite sold on why I would buy this over a journal or sketchbook from Borders, yet.

Thanks.

This is something I've been looking forward to for most of this year.

Is it still on schedule for October, and can we see any pictures of the insides of it or anything?

It's still on schedule; it's approximately 4.25" x 6", and we'll put up some interior images soon!

The GameMastery Campaign Workbook product page now includes samples of the World Map and NPC Registry.

I am sure it is a challenge for Paizo all as this thing keeps sliding to right fore a release date. I have had two on pre-order for several months now. What is causing the release shifts?

A little information would be appreicated. Are you trying to reach a certain number of pre-orders before you produce this product? I think I have tracked 3 shifts to later release dates since I placed my pre-order what's up?

Mainly, it lost a bunch of games of chicken with other products. However, that's all behind us; the files have been at the printer for a couple of weeks now.

What Vic said. Mostly due to the leatherette cover, we're producing this product in a very different way than we produce most of our other products, which has led to some serious delays. It is currently at the printer and making its way back to us, now, so the release date WILL NOT change on this again.

I am looking over proofs of the book now, and I hope (and expect) that you'll find it was worth the wait.

Thanks for your patience.

I thought I'd give a bit of an update on this product. It is currently printing and should be ready to ship to the USA the first week of November. We hope to see it in stores around Thanksgiving.

I was all set to order one of these till I found where you said that it is only 4x6. Thats just too small for a campaign book.
I have been using composition books for years now, and I guess I will just keep on with that. I cant see fitting my ideas on pages half the size of what I am use to. Too bad cause this looks like it would have been really cool.

Don't write it off, yet. I was a little non-plussed about the size myself, initially. After seeing the proofs, though, I was sold on the product.

Head down to your local hobby store after it comes out and take a look at it. There's enough cool stuff in there you might not care about the size. :-)

I like the idea of being able to put the Workbook into my pocket and take it anywhere and work on it without having to drag a stack of notes everywhere.

I have to agree. I do all my thinking-work on my laptop, but I can put my final copy in the workbook and game with it from there.

A question for the Paizo folk: All things being equal, which would be the preferred means of purchasing the Gamemastery line: sales to the FLGS or directly from paizo.com?

Paizo Employee Chief Technical Officer

Purchasing from paizo.com gives us more money, but purchasing from your FLGS helps our products succeed at retail, which is crucial to ongoing business.

I'd recommend you do whatever works best for you.

The Exchange

Damn. Guess I will be picking up one or two when I see em at the FLGS.

Here's a question for the Paizo staff - is it useful for a player as well? Will a player be able to keep notes in it as well?

I assumed that would be the answer; just thought I'd check! :)

We designed the book in such a way so that is was easily usuable by a DM as a campaign logbook, but also as a PC tool for keeping track of campaign events, backstory, and other info.

In other words, the answer is most certain Yes.
