Help: goggles for the daylight sensitive

I seem to recall a piece of equipment, goggles or lenses, that enabled drow to ignore their daylight sensitivity. I don't remember if it was magical or not. It wasn't in the Underdark book. Did I dream this, or has it been statted up?

Liberty's Edge

I don't recall ever seeing one for drow, but the orcs in Eberron came up with something like that. Called shaders, it's a piece of bamboo or wood with a thin slot carved out of it. Negates their light sensitiviy but imposes a -1 penalty on Spot checks. Costs 1sp. Or maybe drunk dwarves came up with them to help with hangovers on bright days.

Craft a hood or cloak - cast darkness make it permanent - your vision would be limited to the range of you darkvision (and lack color) but you would be immune to light sensitivity.

Plus it would look really creepy.

I recall this item as well, unless we're having the same dreams. My foggy mind keeps cycling back thoughts of 2nd edition, perhaps that drow/underdark handbook thingy from that era.

Liberty's Edge

Darkvision doesn't work in magical darkness though.

I think there was something in Dragon Compendium, but I'm not sure. I know I've seen it somewhere, too. I want to say it was called something like Goggles of the Night or something.

A pair of such goggles showed up in Age of Worms (first or second scenario); they were non-magical. I know because an orc in our party took them and uses them.

I have no idea what the cost should be.

Goggles of Night are the darkvision granting items in the core rules.

There's a spell in FRC that allows drow to go about on the surface without penalties. It's first level and might also grant some sort of defense bonus (AC or concealment).

I also remember something like this existing, though I want to say that it is non-magical.

There's a mundane item in 'Races of the Dragon' that Kobolds use to negate their light sensitivity. I can't remember what its exact name is although I believe it's relatively inexpensive. Drow could likely use it or something similar.

Found in Races of the Dragon:

Sundark Goggles: The smoked lenses of these goggles block light. Sundark goggles negatte the dazzled condition experienced by a creature with light sensitivity while in bright illumination. As a side effect, they grant the wearer a +2 circumstance bonus on saving throws against gaze attacks. A creature wearing sundark goggles can't use a gaze attack. Creatures without low-light vision or darkvision take a -2 penalty on search and spot checks. 10 gp.

There is also the "Daylight Adaptation" feat found in a number of sources (Races of Eberron and Player's guide to Faerun for starters).
