Any subscribers not want the Sorceror on Black Dragon exclusive D&D miniature?

I sure would like it if you don't. I get the magazine through my FLGS, not subscription, so can't order it. Can anyone help me out? Thanks

Don

You can subscribe for 1 month and order the Dragon mini then. I would guess that this is the easiest way to go for you.

Good Luck!

I would guess 3 months actually, since you have to be a subscriber when it ships. That was my understanding at least.

Yes... that is, in fact, the case. Though, we'd prefer you were a subscriber for much, much longer ;)

I have been trying to order the damn thing for since yesterday, with no luck. Keeps emptying my cart anytime I choose a shipping address. Could someone help me by verifying if the one order that crashed on me went through or by helping me order one some other way??? Please!!!

I just signed up for Dragon magazine today, the miniature was the straw the broke this camels back. Had to have it. I signed up for a year but would have considered longer subscribtion but there wasn't any discount or incentive to.

You did successfully place an order, which you can see if you look in your order history under "My Account". That's why it gets removed from your cart—there's a limit of one. (Unfortunately, we don't currently tell you *why* it gets removed from your cart; that's a problem that's difficult for us to fix right now.)

Sure there is—when ordering a US subscription online, 12 issues are $38.95 ($3.25 per issue); 24 issues are $74.95 ($3.12 per issue), and 36 issues are $109.95 ($3.05 per issue).

There is a discount for longer subscriptions, just not much of one.

12 Month: $3.25 per issue
24 Month: $3.12 per issue
36 Month: $3.05 per issue

So, over a year of the subscription you save a total of:

12 Month: $45
24 Month: $46.56
36 Month: $47.40

The savings isn't even the cost of a single gallon of gas. I've never had Dragon magazine before so I'll try it for a year and see...I think I can earn about $3.00 in interest by holding on to the difference between a one year and two year subscribtion. Suffice to say though it really isn't much of an incentive to sign up for 2 or 3 years. Now if they offered a special mini for going with a two or three year subscribtion...that'd be something to consider.

Liberty's Edge

The real incentive to sign up for a longer subscription is that it basically "freezes" your rates.

While something dramatic could, theoretically, change that, it is unlikely.

So, if you sign up for 3 years, and the magazine price goes up at all during that time, you keep getting it at the lower rate.

I agree - the long subscription is the way to go, assuming you want to have all of the issues anyway. It does cost a lot less over time than buying each issue at the store and you normally get it in the mail sooner than the store has it on the shelves. I'm all for supporting the FLGS but I think all of the rule books, supplements, adventures, dice, board games, card games and miniatures I get there give them their share of my gaming dollar, probably 80%-90% of it.

I'm sure they'll start appering on eBay as soon as they're shipped.

Being that I just subscribed this month will I get this months issue you think?

If you go to the "My Subscriptions" page, it should tell you what issues are shipping (or have shipped) and when.
