Hi All,
I'm running a fantasy campaign which just started which will likely have a lot of naval interaction and naval combat in it, and I'm looking for either metallic or plastic-template type ships to use. I would prefer metallic ships that are highly realistic.
Does anyone know where I can purchase said ships? I've searched and I can't find any anywhere.

I used to carve them out of styrofoam using a soldering iron. If that helps... You could also try going to a model shop and getting model ship, but again thats a lot of construction time.

For a quick, cheap, and easy option you could pick up a few boosters from WizKids' "Pirates" game series. You'll get something like 2 pop-out fold-up ships per booster.
For detailed, paintable metal minis, try GHQ. GHQ makes a line of Napoleonic era longships minis that might be right for you.

If you don't mind a few nights of paper folding and glue (mmmm...glue), try the Maiden of the High Seas from World Works Games.
It's a $15.00 (USD) download.

Those seem to be in line with what I need, a pity though that there's no pictures on that page so I have no idea what they really look like without buying them.
A little over half the models do have pictures if you click the links. Don't be discouraged by the lack of a picture on the first one.
