So they gave Zeech the list...

Age of Worms Adventure Path

Hi all, one of my players, as a gift at the party gave Zeech the list of Ebon Triad members from the temple. Now what would Zeech do with that? It doesn't seem that he is actually involved with that Triad, but Lashonna is and how would that figure into the equation? BTW copies of the list have been given to the church of Wee Jass (in Greyhawk) and the mage guild (Arcane Order as the PC) so the lists are out there. I know the real answer is whatever is best for my game but I'd like some opinions. Thanks all.

I actually have been thinking that this would make a good gift for Zeech. After all, he does have some members of the Ebon Triad hanged. I believe that he thinks of himself as a loyal servant of Hextor, therefore he would consider the Ebon Triad to be heretics.

Lashonna would be a little peeved, but the Age of Worms is about to come to pass. She doesn't really need the Ebon Triad anymore.

I agree. Especially since he hung some members earlier. With that list he can carry on his Gods true will and send his army/opperatives to remove the heretical Triad members. Good gift.

My party members did the exact same thing, and I had Zeech pronounce it the most valuable gift he received. However, it actually cost the party AP's since it was so over the top.

That's really clever of your players. Since two notable names, Lashonna's and her avolakia friend's, are absent, she would probably hide her surprise as if she had just seen them with some of the loot from the hidden cell. Key operatives would be informed by Lashonna to relocate and change identities, while the lower level minions would be left to rot. Once the PCs are in the picture as potential pawns, Lashonna's need for the Triad is considerably reduced.

I agree that is a super clever idea. Probably not in public at the party unless attaced with a note that says, 'Show no surprise as you read this' or somesuch. Its pretty clear Zeech considers them to be Traitors and would hunt them down. The only thing is he is pretty deeply in Lashonna's pocket. If she finds out about it she is likely to convince Zeech it is a lie and stir more animosity towards the PCs.

Au contraire. Lashonna will certainly see that the PCs have taken out Bakalarde's golem and the Ebon Aspect, and been clever enough to find the hidden treasure. She'll be surprised, but even more impressed with the PCs' abilities--it will confirm for her that all she's heard about them is true. The cult was cannon fodder to begin with, and she'll consider it a pawn well-sacrificed, since it brings her the means to bring down Dragotha. Of course she may try to delay or blunt Zeech's persecution of the cultists, to salvage what she can of the ET, but most of the operation in Alhaster is no longer in existence, and the most Zeech can do is send letters to other rulers revealing their presence elsewhere, letters which may or may not be believed by those rulers, and which can be intercepted before they arrive anyhow. So for Lashonna it's a small loss in exchange for a large gain.
